got my tickets today seeing if anybody else is going and does anyone know what to expect up there and hotspots to hit before or after.
theres a chance i might get tickets to the game...not so fond of sitting in the freezing cold at ralph wilson though
I am going with my buddy who happens to be a bills fan.He told me there is no hot spots in buffalo and it is a pretty lame town.
I'm going as always with my Bills-season-tix-holding bro-and-sis-in-law. Hot spots? Honestly, if you're going to stay there, I would head up to Canada like us for the night in Niagara Falls. Lots of stuff to do there - good food, casinos, etc. Plus, you can get stronger beer from the duty free shops on the way out. Otherwise, Buffalo has the usual chains and such. They do have this one part of their downtown area that is pretty cool, but I haven't been there in years so I can't say specifics. But Niagara Falls is a blast on the Canadian side! If you're looking for fun, that's the place to be, and its like less then a half-hour to the stadium if you get there early enough to beat the traffic. Hey, it's as good a time as you can have in a dump like Buffalo! Trust me!
I'm going. As far as what to expect, I would try and get into the stadium early. For some reason they really struggle to get the fans in. I've arrived at the gates with huge lines and they are still getting people in during kickoff. It's pretty ridiculous and inexcusable. It's been this way since 911. Hate the team not the city. Buffalo is a great time if you give it a chance. Lots of great places to eat. Gotta get wings while you're there.
i'm ****in there! buying my tickets later tonight. i'm from ithaca...bout 4 hours southeast of buff. hot spots? gotta hit up Anchor Bar! inventor of the buffalo wing! you guys all meeting up somewhere in the tailgating lots? should i just walk around screaming "where the REAL football fans at!"? maybe i shouldnt...at least not if i want to live, haha
I'm going up with my girl. We are from CT, I know there is another person going from the phins. Maybe we should all meet up or try to meet up. At least this way we can have a small sea of aqua and orange.
I agree with staying in Canada, my wife grew up in the OP so we go up there a bunch. If you stay in Buffalo def. head downtown to Chippewa St, its a good strip of bars and clubs that are really fun to hang out at. Theres also a cool bar downtown called Pearl St. where a ton of Sabres fans hang, their a trip. Of course Anchor Bar for some wings, and make sure to get a Beef on weck at any NOCO gas station, they have mini charlie the butchers inside! Mighty Taco will blow your socks off as well. Have fun!
