I heard minimum of 3 but a max of 14. He's screwed. You're right Vince won't touch him and I don't blame him. Although I do have to question the Wellness Testing, and if and when Hardy last took a test considering the pills, coke and roids they found in his house. You'd have to assume he wasn't just saving them for a rainy day (although there have been some rumors that he's possibly involved in selling them).

They're weak because they run too many of them and you don't get anymore dream match ups. The WWE should really scale back to 6 to 8 PPVs a year but they bring in too much money for them not to do 12 to 14 each year.

Good to see Legacy and Cena win tonight. Although I'm willing to bet money DX beats Legacy tomorrow on RAW or in the very least at Survivor Series.

I didn't see the results of the UT/Punk match but I assumed it would be a screw job as the WWE wanted a return match at the next PPV in the Hell in the Cell. Plus I had heard they nixed the IC title match between Morrison and Ziggler because they didn't want to have to screw job endings in title matches on the PPV (which makes no sense because its never stopped them before but whatever).

  6. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

Plus it was in Montreal, so you HAVE to assume a screwjob on any PPV that goes on there since Vince and Co., is hellbent on making us remember one of these screwjobs as "the Montreal Screwjob." I guess he doesn't realize that it has been 12 years, no one cares about the original one and it is only really ever talked about...when something like this shows up and reminds us of it.

I am glad they pulled the IC title match. If you can't seem to come to a conclusion for an outcome and want to just have it be a Dusty finish or osmething, why have the match in the first place? Build it up proper make the decision on how you want the fued to build and go from there.

I hope you never get stuck in a room with Bret Hart then.

Seriously though you're right. It's not a big deal anymore and if the WWE didn't run it into the ground so much (seriously a year later at the same PPV they did it again in The Rock/Mankind match) it could have been used as a pretty good angle but like everything else the E killed it.

    Someone give Trish a cheeseburger.

It's too bad Batista can't take Orton with him to Smackdown. I'm a little surprised the E is moving him there especially with the Undertaker locked into a feud with CM Punk. It would make sense for Batista to feud with Orton during the fall. Of course the WWE needs a top heel for Cena to feud with, but surprise, surprise they have none.... well they have Jericho but refuse to use him.

I guess they can always have Cena feud with Orton until Survivor Series and maybe have HBK turn heel on both him and Triple H and start a program with Cena up until WM and then have a HBK vs. Triple H title match then.

I agree with Enforcer. Trish looked very, very good. As did Mickie.

I am behind on the feed. But I think Batista going to Smackdown is a good thing to me. I think that means that CM Punk is probably staying at the top of the card for awhile.

Also, I think I have pinpointed what it is I don't like about women wrestling. To me, the matches look VERY choreographed. I know it is, and most men's matches are as well, but most male wrestler seem to have the ability to at least LOOK organic and off the cuff. The women seem to almost be reading lines as they go through the motions.

On another note, I think that Legacy did a great job of following up on last night's victory. Oh and what was with the multitude of tag matches so far? I have seen three I think so far with the mixed tag still coming.

I don't like the women's matches because they're boring, I could care less about any of them and they aren't very good in the ring. Plus they waste time on the shows that could be given to guys to get over or have a longer match.

Wow the typical WWE PPV, I'm shocked that both Orton and Undertaker won. Especially since CM Punk was probably the best or close second best heel the WWE has right now. The only good thing about it is that the Undertaker will probably get hurt and disappear until WM shortly so it's only for a little while. No clue why they had Orton win but I have no clue where they're going with the RAW title matches now since all of the typical combos (Orton/Cena, Triple H/Orton, Orton/HBK, Triple H/Cena, Cena/HBK) have been done a million times over.

Also nice to see DX get their heat back by beating up on Legacy. Legacy's win over them last a full 3 weeks.

Ugh it was obvious that DX was going to beat Jeri-Show, still doesn't make it right or me happy. DX is beyond boring now, even their promos suck. They really need Triple H or HBK to turn.

read online that the reason Punk was jobbed out at the beginning of the PPV was because there is backstage heat on him. this is supposedly due to him being called out by the Undertaker for not dressing and acting like a world champion, and his response.

Punk supposedly responded to Taker's tongue lashing by asking if Taker has seen the way John Cena dresses? :)

given the amount of backstage respect Undertaker has, this supposedly did not go over well with management, and was taken as Punk saying he was on the same level as Cena. i take that more as him saying; "do the rules apply differently to me?"

IF it went down that way, i can see both sides point of view. Punk has a responsibility to represent the business in a certain way publicly, but then again, Cena dresses like bum most of the time, and Taker lives his gimmick 24/7.

So if true the WWE is willing to kill a guys push over that? Punk is one of the best guys the E has right now unless he is doing something illegal or unethical they shouldn't care. Didn't McMahon tell Punk to stay in chatacter awhile back since when he dressed nice people didn't reconigze him?

I doubt very seriously that this is true. A lot of the upcoming overseas promo material was and is focused on the Undertaker, priorto his victory. Something tells me that the plan was to put the strap on Taker regardless.

Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me one bit if this was the case. Backstage politics has killed many a push in the past.

Yeah I don't put too much stock into it. The guy can't wrestle anymore and he's said numerous times he wouldn't ruin his rep by coming back as a GM of RAW or Smackdown. I don't think he'd come back unless it was a HOF inducting his brother, father, or maybe the Bulldog, or taped segment/interview like The Rock did last week for Smackdown.

Not sure if anyone watched RAW last night but the WWE really dropped the ball with the DiBiase/Legacy angle. They made DiBiase out to be a wimp for not fighting back when Orton was slapping him around. DiBiase could have turned into a huge babyface if he fought back. I also think it would have be smart to have the Team RAW elimination match take place later in the night and have DiBiase run out and pin Rhodes to claim a spot on team RAW. I have a feeling The Big Show is going to turn on RAW and help Jericho and Smackdown win anyway. But having DiBiase in that match to showcase him would have done wonders for him, let him feud with Cody Rhodes for a month or two and then start up a feud with The Miz for the US title.

Also it was funny seeing Cena lose on RAW to Triple H of course and then the announcers selling how this could be Cena's last night on RAW because of his match with Orton.

By the way the future of the WWE is clearly John Morrison, Kofi, CM Punk, DiBiase, The Miz and Rhodes (who has been getting better), that's a pretty strong core right there in terms of talent, looks and skill. Morrison is going to be THE superstar out of the bunch though.

Cena is going to win Sunday though, I'd be shocked if the WWE takes its most marketable wrestler and puts him on a lesser viewed show.

By the way South Park targets the WWE on Wednesday episode. I saw a quick 1 minute clip and the boys go to a wrestling match (John Cena was fighting Edge with 2 female wrestlers also involved in the match), after the match the boys decide they want to be wrestlers now. The funniest thing was seeing Cartman in a 'Get the F out' t-shirt. Should be a good one, can't wait.

I caught the first hour and I disagree about Dibiase turning last night. Yes, the crowd would have been hot, but not at their hottest. Plus, him turning on Orton last night would take away from the Orton-Cena fued that is (finally) finishing on Sunday.

I wouldn't be surprised (since if I recall correctly) that since the ironman match is a no dq/no countout stipulation, Dibiase could potentially (accidently or otherwise) cost Orton a pinfall that could easily turn into a fued between Orton and Dibiase as early as Monday night. I think I would prefer him to mess up and cost Orton a win, while Rhodes GIVES him a win. Have all three come out to start the show on Monday, have Orton berates Dibiase, slap him and do the Dibiase-Virgil angle from YEARS past, with young Dibiase taking on the Virgil character.

The full blown turn SHOULD happen on Monday though. Get the crowd lathered again and wait for them to explode when Ted finally throws that first punch back.

As far as the future superstars, you never know for certain, but I am willing to put money down on Swagger, Kofi, Morrison, Miz (who has improved IMMENSELY), Seamus, Ziggler (although I think I see him flaming out), Dibiase, Rhodes and I still really like the Hart Dynasty.

I left CM Punk off because I feel he is there already.

they should of just done that whole Dibiase thing after the paper-view (unless like you said Teddy interrupts the match)

The crowd was really hot during that, probably the hottest its been since Ive started watching again 4-5 months ago.

I don't know, I would have done the turn last night because then the announcers can build suspense about whether or not DiBiase will be a 'wild card' in this match (think Summerslam 1995 when Diesel fought King Mabel and no one knew what Luger or the Bulldog would do). Personally I think it would only help the Cena/Orton match because I really do believe fans are burnt out seeing those two fight. Hell did they even have meet face to face last night on RAW? I don't even remember. Plus the turn could possibly give the WWE some extra buys. I think by not turning DiBiase last night fans are going to start to see him as a wimp, I don't think in this case this can be drawn out for too long as neither Orton nor DiBiase have that ability to really sell the storyline.

I'm not yet totally sold on Swagger, I think he has potential for sure. I don't like Ziggler, he doesn't do a thing for me. I will say I was very tough on Cody Rhodes earlier this year but he's been improving each week. I think the WWE is going to have a 'good' problem where they have a lot of talent in the mid card, I only think Morrison is really ready to take the next step right now.

Stepnote: I'm completely bored of PG rated DX. Can HBK please just turn heel already? DX was great from 1997 to 1999ish now its kind of pathetic seeing guys in their 40s act like Beavis and Butthead minus being funny. Nothing is more annoying than a wrestler trying to get over but have DX make fun of their hair or in ring skills.

  34. Samphin

Samphin Κακό σκυλί ψόφο δεν έχει

I think everyone would agree that DX is stale. The problem, much like John Cena, is that, they sell a TON of merchandise. So don't look for them to turn anytime soon based on that alone.

HBK as a heel for an extended term would definitely be something I would love to see again before he retires. He was so damn good at it. I would love to see something similar to what Sting did I guess (although HBK is LIGHT years better being a ******** than Sting could ever be). Have HBK kick HHH into an extended absence, explain that he is sick of acting like an immature brat and has been for awhile. That he only went along with it because his friend kept asking him too. But that "friend" only wanted to get the band back together when it was beneficial to him. Because he couldn't get the job done himself.

Well HBK CAN get the job done by himself. He doesn't need hangers on, friends that drag him down, or other people who stand in his way. From here on out the Showstoppa is back. The Icon...the MAIN EVENTER and MR. WRESTLEMANIA, the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels! And since a couple of his nicknames are the aforementioned Mr. Wrestlemania and the main eventer, it is about time that he do just that...again. So Mr. Cena, you can run, and you can rap badly, but you can't hide from Shawn Michaels.

I then have HBK win the title before the end of the year, have HHH return for the Royal Rumble and set up a match for the title at Wrestlemania, or a huge grudge match.

Eventually, HBK closes out his career as a face when he saves HHH from a huge beatdown, or vice versa. He gets his standing O in the ring and exits stage left.

Hey I love the idea with HBK, unfortunately he's let the WWE know he has zero interest in turning heel or being champion. He just doesn't want to travel as much and being the champ means you're always on the road. The WWE begged him numerous times in the past 4 years to take the belt but he's always refused it.

I thought South Park was pretty funny tonight. Kenny as a Rey Mysterio wannabe was priceless as was Token as 'K-Kwik'. And seeing South Park Vince McMahon was great, the only thing that ruined it for me was his voice.

I love how they knocked 'real' wrestling too. Well done all around.

and i think they would get Cena over even more if they did to him what Miz did; put on wrestling gear.

much like the DX thing is getting silly with two guys over 40, Cena in the baggy jean shorts is a bit silly for guy in his 30's as well.

Yeah you may have a point there. I mean the baggy jean shorts fit his Vanilla Ice gimmick but he hasn't rapped since what 2004ish? I mean Cena is still crazy over but it might help his rep with the hardcore fans.

Its funny, how little things like that DO go a long way towards helping someone's image. For example, I LOATHE when tag teams don't have a matching wardrobe/theme. I get why Jerishow don't, but traditional tag teams should, in my opinion, dress similarly. It shows a solidarity and helps identify them AS a team to the audience.

Having your centerpiece of the company dress like a wrestler seems like such a natural thing, yet, they don't do it. Its very rare too. Typically, wrestlers DO shed their street wear for a more traditional brand of wrestling trunks as they move up the ladder.

Cena and Jeff Hardy are the only two recent examples that I can think of that escaped that. Although, I admit that it would be 'kind of' weird to see Cena rock the trunks at this point. However, an easy fix would be to turn him heel and have him denounce his fan pandering ways, and from here on out, he TRULY doesn't care what the fans think of him, and that he is going to do what he wants. That it is time for a change and that goes for EVERYTHING. His next appearance he is in trunks and voila, he is now looking like a champion.
