you guys are showing a lot of fight. Many teams have an inning like that, giving up 6 runs with 2 outs, and down by two, would just give up... You guys did not...you came back and lived for another day... The series has been good and wont be surprised to see a game 7. We are lucky and are going back home, so i say we have the advantage, plus we are up an extra game... But its not going to be easy... This series could easily be 3-2 you... I am worried that CC has been pitching a lot, and if it goes to game 7, he does not have his best stuff... And the fact that you seen him a lot this series...

Good luck Angel fans. Everyone has the Yankees already pencilled in for the WS, but weather could mess up the rotation this Saturday.....could be interesting. Hopefully there will be a Game 7 of the ALCS.

Im actually hoping saturdays game gets rained out. Then if we can pull off game 6 Lackey should be good to go game 7 with that extra day of rest. One game at a time though.

If the game is delayed I'm curious whether CC will be pitched or not in game 6.

Pettite is not invincible even at home. Especially if Jeff Mauer Mathis is up to bat. Be hilarious if Lackey could get to pitch again on regular rest if there are two delayed games. Hopefully the Angels win so we can get to see who pitches that game. Right now it would be Weaver. With a wet ball instead of a dry day game I trust him in that scenario even against CC. He faced Beckett down well in game 2 of the ALDS.

Rain for Saturday right now. If the game gets delay or pushed back a day I think the advantage goes to the Angels is there's a Game 7 because Lackey might be able to throw on Monday. If I were the Yankees I'd want to get the game in.

I hope it does not get rained out... this series is stressing me out... I should not be that stress since we are up 3-2 but i am... Even if we win tomorrow, ill still be pissed that we could not get it done in LA... if it does go to game 7, and CC pitches like he has, and we win, then he deserves MVP or at least share it with A-rod

Has anyone noticed that this post-season has an overwhelming amount of lefties?

The Yankees will go all out in game 6, Rivera in the eight, pinch runners, etc...

If it goes to seven they're screwed in some ways because then the WS likely starts three days after game 7 and who knows if Sabbathia will be able to pitch game one at home. If the Phillies were to see Burnett-Pettite in 1 and 2 and then have Sabbathia face them in Philly it could be trouble for the Yankees. Also you don't want to constantly pitch a guy on three day's rest. You can do it once maybe twice, but again and again is folly.

No pressure on the Angels if they win game 6 whatsoever.

Hey you worry about who pitches Game 1 of the WS once you get there. You have to play to win the game, especially when facing elimination, you go all out with all hands on deck.

Any room on this Bandwagon for a Diamondbacks/Rangers fan?

Does it help if I mention that Torii Hunter lives in the same town as I do?????

Chances are though that if N.Y. doesn't take care of business in game 6 they're in major trouble though. Someone did a fair analysis, I think it was Verducci on why only 11 out of 70 teams come back from 3-1 and it really came out to be fairly even odds after the other team actually won game 5.

There's a 50/50 chance (I think Saunders is a better pitcher overall and will be helped by the rain more so than Pettite) the Angels will win game 6. In game 7 yes it'll be basically anyone the Angels have left. If they win the series, either Palmer or Kazmir would start game 1.

Not my fault that they had one of the best pitching staffs in baseball HISTORY and choked. You don't replace a guy like Barry Bonds (let the steroids comments start flowing). He never had a dirty urine, it's all speculation. But I love how all the fans including Yankee and Red Sox fans who were bad mouthing Barry 24/7 365 days a year, all of a sudden stopped talking after their favorite players were actually caught using steroids.

    Shhhhhh.

    Game postponed until tomorrow.

Game 7 would be Monday and allow us to bring Lackey back on 3 days rest.

Do we have Weaver pitch tomorrow now, or stick with Saunders?

I'm thinking its ALL about Weaver.
First time I caught that guys gig, I honestly thought "I hope we never see that gooney bird in the playoffs".

Glad we brought him back. Was afraid we'd let him walk, or he'd ask for ridiculous coin after the year he had.

Will be interesting to see what happens w/ Vlad, Figgins and Lackey now.

Phys and Wonder Dog get the boot

Well the Angels have dumped the long-time TV announcing team of Steve Physioc and Rx Hudler.
    http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp...news_ana&fext=.jsp&c_id=ana&partnerId=rss_ana
For those who don't follow the Angels Physioc had been the tv play-by-play guy since 1996, the year Disney got control of the team. Physioc had been doing the backup ESPN west coast baseball games from 1990-95. Hudler was a very hyper platoon middle infielder/utility player with many teams including the Angels in the mid-1990's. Hudler joined the tv booth in 1999. Hudler is known as the "Wonder Dog", is hyper, always is rubbing a baseball, and would often use a comment as a lesson for little leaguers. Hudler, just like Rickey Williams, got suspended for being caught with grass in 2003, but was back on the job in 2004.
In the last two years the Angels have been rotating the tv crews. Physioc and Hudler would do about half the telecasts, and Rory Markus, the main radio Angel broadcaster since 2002, and former Kansas City Royal pitcher Mark Gubicza would do the the other half of the tv work. Thet usually would go in 3 week shifts. Physioc would do radio on the Markus tv games.
Well this week the Angels decided to go with having consistency for the telecasts. So the Markus and Gubicza team were picked to do all the tv games. Apparentlt Fox Sports West really likes Gubicza. In turn Physioc and Hudler got the boot.
As for reaction of the fans, many are happy to to see Physioc gone, but most are unhappy to see the departure of the "Wonder Dog".

Looks like were going to lose Lackey to the Red Sox pending a physical. Its looking like its going to be a rough season. No Figgins, or Lackey and Vlad will probably be gone too. Hope Arte Moreno knows what he's doing cuz its not looking good...

Losing Lackey sucks. Our pitching staff isnt all that tough right now. Seattle getting Lee makes it hard for me to imagine us repeating as division champs as our roster stands currently. Read we might try shipping Juan Rivera to the Braves for Lowe. Didnt really pay attention to Lowe last year, so not sure how much he helps us. But we definitely need the pitching depth.

Seattle is making some good moves this off season while all we've done is signed a 35 yr old DH with bad knees. And to make it worse the Rangers are stealing Oliver from us and I heard their talking to Vlad.:pity:
