Assuming Kris Jenkins is out for the season, which is not baseless, and the trade deadline on Tuesday, it would not be out of the question for the Jets to dial up their minor league team, the Cleveland Browns, for Shaun Rogers. Rogers is supposedly, or was, disgruntled in Cleveland, they are not going anywhere and Rogers fills a immediate need at NT. Mangini would make such a deal as well, heck he already has with Edwards..
Well I think for it to happen Ryan would have to give up picks and possibly players. 2 picks 2 players for Edwards I wonder what they'd have to give up for Rogers
Believe me, Rodgers is going nowhere. It would take more than it took to get Edwards to get it done. Either way, they won't trade Rodgers.
A trade would make sense, the Jets have virtually no depth to speak of, they have no Soliai waiting in the wings.
No trade. Ryan is pretty good at getting a bunch of players to play above their respect grade level. Hoping to see that today. It is a HUGE loss, but maybe give a chance to a few younger guys to pick up the pace and show us what they can do! BZ
Well BZ, the Jets appear to be a bind because Piouha (sp) has no starting experience and the natural move to a 4-3 requires DE's who can passrush, and the Jets just don't have the players who can do that consistently. The Jets mortgaging away draft picks for years now have left you guys with little depth to speak of, and Tannenbaum does not have Ireland's eye for finding hidden gem UDFA's.
I believe that there is a conspiracy going on between Eric Mangina and his former team, the New York Yets.
The future is now... The BE and MS trades were made for this team to be competitive 4-5 years... Nah, he is just an idiot. BZ
Exactly. The Jests have mortgaged their depth for high draft picks (Sanchez and Greene) and now its time to pay the piper.
They traded up to draft Keller as well, but for whatever reason the Nacho just does not throw him the ball. The Jets window is not as large as BZ seems to think, Thomas and Pace and Scott are not exactly rookies, and they have do depth to speak of behind them.
