13" Macbook Pro... I do not feel cooler. I'm $1200 broker. I have two nifty apple stickers that I need to place somewhere to pledge my undying loyalty. I couldn't be happier for some reason.
and for the record, please spare me the "did you know that for that amount of money you could have gotten a PC that does X, Y, and Z...." I know... been a PC nerd for years. Still have a two PCs. Just trying something new.
Been there......done that. I absolutely hate the confined feeling I have when using a Mac. Everything is dumbed down to the point of me wanting throw the damn thing against the wall. Yeah yeah yeah....I know some of you guys swear by the damn things but I hate feeling like my machine was built for my grandmother.
Install Bootcamp 3 if you need Winblows. You should be able to play most, if not all games under BC3. <CTRL> or System Pref > Trackpad > check the box that says (One Finger - Secondary Click) is your friend. Welcome to the world of Mac.
the scrolling on my macbook is awesome.....2 finger drags the page down or right to left.....2 finger "right click" is awesome......very cool. i love it.
welcome, i have never had a single problem with my mac (running on 2 years). you'll be happy with your investment.
Whatever works for you, then great. Personally Ive avoided anything by Apple, just because I like the competition better. I have a Zune, a G1, and a PC laptop. Ive used Windows all my life and I know what it good for and what it lacks. Macs are great for people who arent into tech stuff or cant put up with the known headaches of using a PC. For me, PCs will always be my preference but I can see why someone would want to use a Mac. But I hate fanboys of either, that also includes cell phones and game consoles as well.

I will try any operating system I get my hands on. I simply love tinkering, configuring, testing, and tweaking. I guess this is why I don't like Macs because their really isn't much you can do in that department. I was considering building a Hackentosh but just haven't been happy using OS X so what's the use. I guess my view on Macs is a little biased because the average Joe is just going to browse, check email, and do just the normal stuff. I am constantly reformatting, dual booting, trying different operating systems, and just seeing if I can break something just to see if I can fix it. I guess what I am trying to say is to each his own.
Same here. I like to tinker with different OS's new and old. Hell I could experiment with Windows 98 on this PC if i wanted too. I miss the old DOS-based OS's before XP. I used to tinker alot with them.
