No, I'm saying that he needs to actually show that he can make quick decisions and NOT make the same mistakes he made in college before we all get on our knees and blow him.

Henne made the throws, our receivers didnt make the catches. Case Closed! We need a top wideout to keep our team moving forward.

Oh give me a break he did NOT make all the throws. He locked onto his receivers, threw the ball over their heads multiple times, and had no feel for backside pressure.

Whatever, honestly this weekend has sucked more than any other in my life, and this team just made it worse. Thanks a lot.

Figured the Henne Haters would come out after this game.

I watch a lot of football and Henne looks like he has the tools to be a great QB in this league. His decision making was great in the first half and there were a couple nice passes that should've been caught. In the second half **** just went downhill.

Henne is the future and as long as Sparano is here he'll be our starter.

That last drive. Henne throws, Ginn drops. Henne throws, Ricky drops. He didnt have the best of protection this game either. To put things in better perspective, we have a lack of playmakers besides Ronnie and Ricky.

    This is typical.

The last INT was bad, but he did go through his reads well for the most part.
and its hard to hrow the ball when you're getting hit every 5 seconds.

yeah he made bad throws but think about it.....Ginn gives up one of his picks....our O line had bad protection and he is constantly getting hit which caused another pick I think..... also when we had the big lead our play calling basically pushed him into making plays instead of letting our Running game take over (I know they made some stops but c'mon, we don't have to stop running because of that)....we basically forced henne into throwing the ball instead of opening up the passing game by running in the 2nd half.....

I am not saying you are wrong in anything you said. It is just that everyone assumes Henne was supposed to take over for Pennington. I even assumed he was being groomed for that. I have never heard that from the people that matter though.....Ireland, Parcells or Sparano

We dont have a go-to guy. Thats the main problem. I dont think Marino wouldve won us the game, I dont see a Clayton, a Duper, a Warfield, a Moore, a Jennings out there. DO YOU??

Sure Henne made some mistakes. But he gave his guys plenty of chances to make plays and at times those guys let him down. Ginn cost him a pick 6 on what should have been a first down catch of a GREAT throw. Ginn tripped himself in the first half when Henne threw another very good ball. He put one up for Ginn in the middle of the field and Ginn made a poor effort to make a play on it. And he dropped a key first down catch late as well as a td pass that Henne dropped on him in the endzone in garbage time. Ricky had a drop. His last pick 6 was on a fourth down, he had a guy in his face immediatly and he threw were he thought his wr was going to be. IMO that was what he had to do. If he takes the sack the game is over. Do I think Henne could have played better.... yep. Use whatever stats you like but the fact is since Henne has been under center this team is putting points on the board. Let's see how he looks in the Jets rematch..... hopefully his supporting cast can help a little more.

Are you serious man? Lets talk about which receiver it appears ran the wrong route. Henne threw the ball where the receiver should have been. You could tell by the receivers reaction after the play he F'd up.

I'd say overall our receivers dropped 8 or more passes today. Ginn had several, at least 3, Fasano had one, Ricky had at least 2, so did Bess. So lets pretend to add those to Henne's stats and he's now 26 of 36. Oh, and by the way. Had Ginn caught the one pass that became and INT, there goes one of the picks. If a receiver runs the right route there goes the other... lets not forget the extra yardage he'd have had if those extra 8 or so catches had been made.

Just who is he supposed to throw to anyways? We have no real threats at WR. Not a great recipe for success with a young QB.

Henne's passes were for the most part on the money all day. Apparently you didnt see the game. Henne did a good job in the pocket, stepping up on several occasions to avoid pressure, and even sacrificing his body to make a throw on several other occasions. QB's will get sacked. deal with it.

To even say that Henne played awful today is just ridiculous.

He's not quite yet... He's got the tools, and the potential. If we keep giving him the support he needs on the field, then yes. He very well can be. I think he can be. I think we all just need to control our expectations a bit. This is essentially his rookie year, when it comes to playing time anyways. While he didnt set the world on fire today, he wasnt awful, and didn't loose this game today. He did the best he could with what we have as far as I could see.

While Henne plays at times like a young inexperienced QB, he helped him team more than he hurt it today. Ginn, and to a lesser extent Bess, hurt the offense today. We simply lack a true #1 WR.

Yea, I am getting carried away. But look at how calm and cool he is when in the fourth quarter. That is why I am so confident in him being our future. He has so much confidence in himself.

    <----Former Henne "hater"

Henne IS NOT the problem. We have much much much bigger problems than quarterback. Henne is poised with pressure in his face. The dude throws with touch but also has an arm. It's not his fault Ted Ginn is absolutely horrible.

That is probably Henne's best non physical trait. No situation is intimidating to him. He was a 4 year started at Michigan, started as a freshman, playing in the Big House in front of over 100,000 fans every game, in cold weather, in warm weather, big rivalry games, national spotlight. No stage seems too big for him. After a pick, he calm. After a TD, he's calm. Under pressure, he's calm. Always calm, cool, collected. It goes a long way for himself, and his teammates.

He looked really good. He was against the 8th ranked defense today and played good. People need to remember he is still a rookie. He is 1-1 when starting on a wide receiving core that is lack luster. He is still learning. But that past 2 weeks he has looked really good

I think Henne is our Future. The coaches are bringing him in slowly by using the wildcat, which limits his snaps and coaching him through the game. He has faced 2 really good teams and hasnt done bad.

We asked Henne to duel it out with Drew Freakin Brees....in his 3rd start.

Brees with targets that make ours look pedestrian....theirs scored TD's Our WR's (Ginn and Bess) donate a TD a piece to the visitors side of the scoreboard. Henne faced a tougher pass defense than Brees did, with much less to work with

I'm not sure how anyone can not be impressed with him today. With a little more help and less screw ups all around him, he could easily be 3-0 as a starter and a win against the hottest team in the league.

He didn't exactly look terrific, but he played well enough to win that game today. Against Drew Freakin Brees...
