    Hey guys,

I've been reading your forum since it began...just not big on posting but I thought I would start tonight! Maybe as a little therapy or something I guess! Anyway....

Well, not to state the obvious, but what a disappointment.

Personally, I think the main reason we lost (besides the fact that we have no real recievers) is that we overused the wildcat and did not give Chad Henne a chance to play.

I love the WC and I do truly belive that it is NOT a gimmick and it is definetely a part of our offensive package...however...it should not be the primary part of our offense. The WC in my opinion should be a complement to our offense, which I think is not the case. We need to run a base offense successfully with an actual QB taking snaps as our primary offense and use the WC to mix things up. It seeems to me that we are kind of doing the opposite.

No team has ever won the big show without good QB play. Even the defensive dominant Ravens had Trent Dilfer making plays when needed. Doug Williams, Jeff Hostedler....the list can go on, but those teams let their QBs make plays that were instumental in them winning the big game. Miami, imo, did not give Chad Henne a chance to make any plays tonight. Yes he had 36 attemps but how many of them were in the 4th Quarter? Well I will tell you!

9 pass attempts in the final 1:53 seconds when the game was over. 7 attempts from the 3:23 mark to the 2:06 mark. 2 on the drive before that and 3 on the one before that. That is 21 pass attempts in the final 13 minutes when we were on the ropes. Why the hell did we only let Henne attempt 15 attempts in the first 3+ quarters?

In my opinion we did not give Henne a chance to play. We knew the friggin Saints could score a lot of point (the avg 38 a game which actually went up tonight) so sitting on a lead was stupid if that was the plan. Why the hell did we not let our QB play?

PS.. Ted Ginn and Fasano and G. Wilson should all be cut....TONIGHT! If you can't catch or tackle when we need it then why are you taking up roster spots and making a ton of money. I say we cut loose those 3 now.

Agreed on all your points, the Wildcat helps us out a lot no doubt but we overused it today. I think Henne was off the field too much especially at important times. Although other situations like too many drops hurt us too. Good first post man welcome, this place is great to talk football.

    Canada EH!
I want to know why we didn't hit them with a PA deep pass with how they were biting on the run. Henne would hand it off and boom you would see the safties at the LOS.
