I just dont understand the play calling of the Dolphins, i SEROUSLY dont get it. All ****ing year we were known as the team to run the ball and eat up the clock. So why didnt we do that in this game? I mean we had a 24-3 lead up until right before the half. So why didnt we continue running it in the 2nd half and milking the clock? instead, against an undefeated team, we decide to air it out with our ROOKIE qb. Look at the stats, Ricky Williams rushed for a total of 9 times in the entire game?!?!?!?! its not like we were losing and playing from behind so we were forced to pass. and also, even my 3 month-old nephew knows the only reason why the Wildcat is successful is because Ronnie Brown is taking the snap and Ricky Williams is in motion and that freezes the defenders. Ronnie taking the direct snap did nothing and it proved both RB's need to be on the field in order for it to be successful.

Got to agree with you there... Even when we were up 34-31... Pass, pass, pass? Really? Then when we were down 34-37 with plenty of time to go: Pass, pass, pass. Six incompletions in a row. Run the freaking ball! That's what this team does best!

Was a real had scratcher... Why we weren't running, who knows. We should have been the entire second half. Also, on defense, where was the blitz/motion packages?

Nobody can consistently stop the Miami running game. Too bad Dan Henning obviously doesn't know that. Just because the Saints stopped it a few plays is no reason to abandon it.

Its awful. We ran I believe 5 PA on that final drive. It seems our 2 min offense consists of playaction considering when we were playing the Colts we did the same thing :pity:

As great as Henning called in the first half, he STUNK in the second. He went conservative and had the team playing scared.

I'm wondering if we have anything in our playbook with more than 2 WR's on the field at the same time.

    I'm mean 4th and long and Henne's under center with 2 RB's.

I'd love to see Henne actually get a ****ing series where he doesn't come off the field.

And why didn't we run the Wildcat?????

Ricky Williams is the actual Wildcat. It's Ricky going in motion with Ronnie taking the snap. Today it was Ronnie taking direct snaps with no motion. We ran the actual Wildcat maybe 2-3 times tonight.

    Frustrating game.

I've *****ed about before... Why does this team not run shotgun on 3rd down? Give Henne an extra second and abetter view of the field.

I'm sick of pass plays where Polite is running routes. It's ridiculous.

well to be fair the saints did a great job of shutting the run and wildcat down the second half.they shut off the edge very well but i did feel that we were running the wc to the edge way too much and shouldve went with the base run up the middle at that point.it doesnt help that our recievers kept dropping balls that they got their hands on(i couldve snotted fasano's nose for dropping that pass).

i live in saints country and i think ive heard from every relative and friend i have lol people are still calling me to give their condolences.hell of a game though.

We ran the ball 8 times in the second half. You know how much yardage we averaged per carry? An amazing 2.21 yards. Our longest run was 6 yards in the second half.

Also there was a series early in the 3rd quarter where our QB got sacked on first down. So Henning was being aggressive (throwing on first down), unlike people some saying. But when you get sacked and it's 2nd and 17 are you going to run the ball? So of course we threw the ball and 2nd and 3rd downs.

Sacks, runs for losses, and penalties all put you in a position where you have to throw.

We are averaging 34.3 POINTS PER GAME SINCE HENNE HAS BECOME THE STARTING QB. Really? We are going to talk about firing a guy that helped put up 34 points? If someone at the start of the year told you our offense was going to average more than 34 points over a 3 game span ANY POINT IN THE SEASON would you have believed that? Would you still be laying blame at the O cordinator's feet?

NOTE: Overall we are averaging 24 points a game for the season. That is pretty good considering our lack of a #1 receiver.

    Let's fire Henning? Really?

We have problems, but play calling isn't one of them. Our D has a long way to go. We put up 34 points and lost.

EDIT: Forgive me if I made a mathmatical mistake in the above post. Feel free to double check/point out anything I got wrong.

All I know is I was sitting there with my head in my hands watching and muttering WTF are these guys doing?

Now, maybe we were passing because we had to. But, just some of the types of plays were, I dunno...real head scratchers. For me anyway.

I understand to some degree. But we have averaged 34.3 points per game over the last three games. We have a starting QB with 3 games experience. If you said in Henne's first 3 games as a starter we avg 34 points you wouldn't be complaining.

People here are looking at the low level, indivdually questioning a certain play call or two. I am focusing high level. Not every playcall is going to be right. You can question individual plays called by the greatest offensive minds in football and have something to grumble about. But how did the coach do overall? Henning? Pretty darn good.

    Just my opinion though.
