I'd better purchase more flood insurance because I thought this would never happen with the SparanoFins:

    CB's on roster:

    Sean Smith
    Vontae Davis
    Nate Jones
    Jason Allen

That would make Allen the Dimeback, Sparano has said Vontae hasn't played the nickel and the rotation is (was) Will Allen, Nate Jones, Jason Allen, Will is out, leaving JA on third Wr and Jones till in the nickel..

I'm not sure if I'm happy or dismayed, but I do hope Joey Thomas has kept himself in great physical condition...

If nothing changes between now and Sunday, Jason Allen will see the field against the Jets as a Cb.

I hope he has progressed as well, seriously, my lasting memory of JA was Moss making him look bad on the way to the endzone.

Jason Allen has something to prove. I think we all saw it on the field yesterday when he made that tremendous open field tackle on special teams. How many guys do you think make that tackle other than him? Not many.

JA could always run and tackle, his ball skills were just not good.

i actually thought he played ok, he was in position against one of the best all day..remarkable efforts by that receiver as well, and perfect throws.

If JA is playing on our defense we are in HUGE trouble. JA is in the TG club....

I really hope they bring in a free agent corner to help Davis and Smith, but I wouldn't mind Jason Allen getting another chance maybe, hopefully he has improved some.

I think Allen deserves a chance, he's been screwed with since he was drafted, I'd like to see him in a blitzing roll. Kid is quick, didn't he have a pick against NE last year when we lost at home?

I think he's a gamer who deserves a chance, I bet it's feast or famine with him, he'll get you a pick or get you burned. Everytime I've seen him play he's made at least one play on the ball.

Why is everyone so against Jason Allen when he has barely been given an opportunity? He was switched around from cornerback to safety with each coach. The guy never had a chance to get into any kind of rhythm.

I used to be a huge JA supporter, however time and 3 different coaching staffs have buried him, it is only in the last two seasons that he has shown up on Special Teams, as a Db Allen does not have ball skills for Cb or grasps complex coverage schemes as a Safety.

As a dime back though, he should be able to manage as he will face the 4th Wr on most clubs, but Qb's ALWAYS "find" Jason Allen in the defense, he is constantly targeted.

I will actually be happy to see this kid on the field in the dime back roll. At points when he was on the the field he was a play maker. Plus at least he could always tackle. I mean a dime back is now what you hope for with the 16th (? to lazy to look up) overall pick, but its better than riding the pine.
I think we all come back to the debacling by Randy Moss, but I think we have all seen Randy do that to his fair share of CB's

    I'm no Ted Ginn fan...

That said, why is it Jason Allen gets chances time and time again and TG doesn't? Can't have it both ways.

Jason Allen belongs on special teams and that's it. He can't play S or CB in this league.

I still wonder why Jason pretty much got shoved away from the defense ever since Moss burned him. I mean what did the coaches expect? It was dumb of them to even consider putting Allen on Moss by himself.

I think its more likely to see Culver or Clemons playing dime back.

Good. I wanna see Sparano give JA another chance. Remember he was playing alright last year before he got injured.
