i was wondering if we're the best 2-4 team in the history of the NFL.

we're #1 in rushing and we were 3rd in rush defense (i think). i'm not sure what our rush defense is after the saints game. i'll look it up in a minute.

My point is that usually if a team is 1st in rushing and top 5 in rushing defense, they've won more games than we have this year.

we're officially 2nd in rushing and 4th in rush defense.

look at who's #1 in rushing. warning: be prepared to throw up!

There was a Jets fan in here earlier who thought beating the Raiders was a big deal. And then he tried to throw it in my face that Miami lost to the Saints (like they are a bad team).

does anyone know how to figure out if we're the best 2-4 team in nfl history? i think we are. it's a shame our record isn't better. if we've played this many games and we're 2nd in rushing and 4th in rush defense we are bound to get a lot more wins. i know our schedule is tough but after yesterday's game, nobody on our schedule scares me. the only team on our schedule that scares me is us because we beat ourselves.

This is the time we need to do something drastic...like win 10 games in a row and finish 12-4. They can do it they don't shoot themselves in the foot. We have got to do better out there on the field.

i heard bill simmions use the eaxct same quote on the radio today.."were the best 2 and 4 team ever"

We should put that in the locker room, doubt it would make a difference.

Off topic, but I didn't realize that we were tied for fourth in the league in sacks with 17.

I was looking at Miami's schedule.....and it is very possible that they can get some momentum going soon. I like the odds of beating the Jets and then the Patriots to be 4-4 and 4-0 in the division.

Make it happen Miami!!!! You owe it to us as fans after having to watch not one, but TWO epic fails in 4 weeks.

shall we give em a clean slate?

I know they gotta go back to back to get my respect and support back for a run this year. not that they dont always have my support, iam just waitin for that time when it becomes gm time. they got this last lifeline for us to take them serious again.

it's a clean slate in my book. as far as i'm concerned we're 0-0 and we'll have a winning record from here on out. there's no way that a team that's 2nd in rushing, 4th in rush defense and thanks to a previous poster, 4th in sacks is gonna have a losing record. i know the odds are against us with our current record, but i have to believe that we'll make a push for the playoffs this year.

Hey everyone, this is my first post so whats up and go fins...

So our team is really beast right now, we are just letting these big games go away. We are for sure a force and hopefully we can win out. We are definatley the best 2-4 team ever, and our running game is number one.. look at the defenses that we shredded. We should score on every drive. but a loss like that really hurts.

I have no idea why the NFL gave the fins the hardest schedule in the NFL. #1 toughest schedule.

    why would they do that???????????????????

Because we finished #1 in the division and wound up being scheduled against a very tough NFC South (Saints/Falcons are tough and Panthers aren't too shabby either). It's just how the marbles roll, it's not because the NFL hates us.

Because, as evidenced by the level of officiating against us, the NFL hates the Miami Dolphins for some odd reason. Like my man Puff once said...."When you're on top....mofo's just want to bring you down."

its beyond hard to beat the Pats twice. we have our work cut out for us. its a new season if we can just get to 4-4.

No way we beat the pats twice. We will beat the jets and the bills because of below average qb play but tom brady is another matter. We do not match up well with teams that can go vertical.

In history??? unless your 100 years old, you can't really say that. The NFL started in 1920:wink2:

As far as the schedule goes, back in 2002, the league had a set schedule for the next 8 years, except for 2 games. The Bills, Pats and Jests play the same damn teams we do, except for 2 every year since 2002.:pity:

The schedule is made 8 years in advance. You guys are crazy.

Look, the NFL hates Miami in 2011!!!

They are making them play KC Oakland and powerhouse Washington!

The huge problem is we are #26 defense in allowing points
till that is fixed it dont matter if were #1 at anything

Points win or lose a game and at #26 thats a problem
