Thing that killed him here were his drops. He just couldnt hold onto the football for some reason...... And yeah, he has been pretty good for the Pack since they picked him up. Its not just today that he's playing well for them.
I just think back to how bad the bucs were for years, the colts the cards etc and look where they are now, bucs and colts in PO's, cards making progress, maybe takes time to find right personnel, chemistry and so on. I don't think we will be bad for as many years as those teams did tho.
Baltimore.... I think Lemon has earned the start next week. But Im pulling for Beck. I just wish he had a chance behind a decent line. I feel like he would be a good QB on a good team.
steelers are the best chance to beat pats, after the .500 ravens almost did it, I hope the pats are finally unravelling
Great point RE: Beck. He's a rookie and that's a big part of the learning process. There's that old saying "you live by the blitz and you die by the blitz". If you can burn the other team a few times when they're pinning their ears back on you; they'll back off and play you honestly. Beck will learn if he has real solid coaching and support while he's developing.
I honestly think that the Ravens might be the best chance among those teams.... Although after the hell they gave the Pats...
Fellow Finfan, you don't understand, Dorsey is the guy for the "brighter lights" he offers what a mid first round pick does, yet they wish to put him into a #1 overall pick dress. The FIRST thing this team needs is a motivator, I think Marty S handled that in San Diego, and cam played at the role in TC (Remember Ronnie returning kicks in preseason?) but over the long haul, Cam is just not the guy to motivate people. a 4th string Wr jumps offsides, and gee golly gosh darn, you'll get them next time? WTH is that?
Hagan may be having decent stats but they dont mean jack in "dead" time. Hagan has been a MAJOR disapointment to me.
the hell they put the pats thru i think took a lot of wind out of them they got screwed that game, they should have won it
Well.. I said a couple of weeks ago that we were saving our upset for the Pats.. That would be sweet Oh and btw.. Why the *bleep* did they challenge that?? Are they really that scared of us coming back??
Brennan is probably the biggest show in the bowl games. He is in the biggest "beauty pageant" when they play Georgia. Everyone is waiting to see his performance versus them. Brennan's conference receives no respect. Therefore he's not receiving as much respect as he could. His draft stock is going up or down based upon this game.
I know we're getting off topic with that game, but I really expect the Steelers to win today. If McNair had been playing instead of Boller; and if McNabb had played instead of Feeley, the pats most likely would already have 2 losses. The Pats are a hard team to beat, anyway. But expecting your back up QB to beat them is not realistic.
they were talking earlier that if Eli doesn't start showing something he may be out with Coughlin next year or the yr after....would you want ELI?
So now you're using his first preseason as your justification for saying Beck sucks? Do you realize that if you had been a Colts fan in 1998 you would have said the same thing about Peyton Manning? As for why I like Beck, he was doing fine until he had time no time to throw. He's got a big arm, very accurate, was going through his reads nicely, making good decisions. and showing great pocket presence before teams started going blitz crazy on him. Now he needs to learn to make his hot read and get the ball out in 2 seconds to make teams pay for blitzing. That being said, on some of those plays he had a guy in his face even sooner than that. , and any QB would have taken a sack in that situation. There is no comparison between the pressure Lemon faced and the pressure Beck saw. Some of that is because Lemon has been rolling out to buy some time. Why haven't those plays been called for Beck? I don't know. Maybe they're limiting the playbook for him. It's not like Beck has Dan Marino's knees.
Cowher is the obvious, but for me Ron Rivera as HC would be fine, or Marty S. I do wonder if Houck's glimmer has faded, the Oline has crumbled with no injuries that have been reported?
Short answer: No Long answer: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't stand that guy! He is a spoiled little brat and you can see it everytime something doesn't go his way.. Whiney little crybaby.. He is the definition of "not a leader"!!
