To be totally honest though... Back in '98 seeing Manning first hand you saw the guy could play and play well. Sure, he'd throw ints but he made some plays too that made you think WOW he's legit. I am sorry but for whatever reason Beck has yet to do that...
Let me clear, I think John Beck can play in the NFL, on the dolphins right now, he is not looked at as a leader, the players don't play their best for him. The players appear to have -0- confidence in John Beck. One thing that we are missing is the confidence that our QB can lead us to a victory, the Vets have turned sour on the entire Dolphins Organization IMO. That started in preseason with the cutting of Culppeper if one cares to look back on that move, cutting DC was the right move, yet the players liked him.
I think the O-Line may have been sucked into the total mess and losing attitude we now have in Miami.
lets go TEBOW! lets go TEBOW! I doubt he leaves after his jr yr tho, seems like a kid that has school and life ahead of football first. but neways, lets go tebow! MIAMI BOUND 1st pick 2 yrs in a row! lets do it! lollll NEWAYS.... we blow.
Players are paid to play and not make coaching decisions. I dont give a crud if they did like Culpepper. What has he done at Oakland? When players start waves and cause negative vibes then that tells me the Coaches have lost the players. The team wants a serious kick up the butt. From top to bottom.
Hmm, guess Beck isn't the only QB that fumbles when hit from behind. I'm sorry, but rookies aren't leaders. Period. And any player that's not giving 100% to help a rookie QB develop needs to get their *** off this team.
100% correct, and the Dolts then drafted players to fill in around manning, which is the 100% opposite of what the brighter lights want to do for Beck with Dorsey. John Beck has yet to show a darn thing during the season, Lemon playing behind the same Oline, has done much better then Beck, there was never any serious discussion of Manning sitting for Harbaugh..... Ehh, a bit cynical right now.
Jason Taylor is the biggest crybaby b--(I promised I wouldn't curse) on this team. He's upset because he got manhandled one on one for 60 minutes, so he has to show how much class he DOESN'T have.
I’d take Jim Bates right now. I want a fireball in here. Didn’t we beat super bowl champs New England with Bates that year? I hope McFadden has four hundred yards in his bowl game so we get some fool team to trade their whole draft for him.
for one thast b/c lemon can scramble and leave that mess of a line while beck can't. his ap ocket passer in a pocket that lasts .5 seconds. and I am for dorsey but the way gado showed his speed at times made me say now this is eaxctly why i always wanted McFad. and I rem seeing 2 runs that gado had for the TD and first thign i thought to myself was had that been RB it oudlnt' have been in a TD b/c instead of goin up into the endzone head first like gado he woudlnt have tried to dance around the 2 defenders at the 5 where as gado jsut split them thru the middle. but that woudlnt' have happened if it weren't for his speed as well.
Aww geez, now we must head into the "Zen of the NFL". To be blunt, the difference in talent between player "A" and player "B" on a roster is not that great, one may be slightly stronger or faster, but it is the mental aspect of the game that makes the difference the buying into the scheme, the extra effort, the late staying in the film room, the time spent chattign with a scrub rookie who has -0- chance of making the roster. Those are a few of the things that make an average NFL player give that extra .0000001% that make the difference between winning and losing. For ensample, when Joe Montana went to the Chiefs, they were losing a game he went into the huddle and said calmly on a MNF game: "We are going to win this game" And they did, not because a single player on the field was changed out, but because the players bought into "We can win this thing".
