    You sound like Mike Pereira.

    The ball traveled backwards, but admitting that would be admitting that the refs made the wrong call and we can't have that so the NFL is going to convince us that the yard lines were crooked.

    I never said anything about hitting the QB. That is action based. But there are others which are intent based. The two I mentioned are. Unsportsmanlike conduct and unnecessary roughness are intent based and even have different levels of penalties based on the ref's judgment of intent.

    The fact is that Cam's actions deserved a penalty. I don't know what the proper name of the infraction is. It might very well fall under the umbrella of "illegal forward pass". But I do know that there is no way the penalty would have been any less than what we got. So I don't get why everybody is complaining about this call. There were so many bad calls in this game but this was not one of them.
