why would he contact anyone but his coaches... and what would those coaches think if he went around them to solve the issue.. seems he read duper correctly anyway.. he threw ginn under the bus.
There's nothing wrong with going to someone else to help him solve his issues. He wouldn't be ignoring his coaches, he would be getting more help. I don't see anything wrong with getting help from former greats (Duper or not) when you are working out. He doesn't even have to work out with them, just give them a phone call and ask them how to deal with adversity or tips on how to not give away your route, etc.
hmm...the site rules say differently. i'd like to think that all people are equals, and that we dont judge people by their language. choosing not to use swear words does not make you better than anyone, IMO.
The using of curse words was not directed at you. I feel that we have better quality of members here that using those kind of words are not necessary.
Agreed.....and at this point, what is there to lose. I'm not really thrilled about them killing him in the press like that but the thing is, Ginn does nothing to make it hard to argue with what was said....I think he easily makes the top 5 "softest" players in the league. Personally I don't see a vast improvement in his future, he what he is, a pretty limited receiver...
This is a joke. Way to go along with ruining the kid, Miami.... I don't care what people think about my opinion, Kuech is a jackass. I didn't see him play and I am not putting him on a pedestal. The fact is athletes are bigger, stronger, and faster nowadays. The '72 Dolphins wouldn't stand a chance against the 2000's Patriots dynasty whether we like it or not.
And I'll bet that the 2000 Patriots wouldn't stand a chance against the 2030 (Insert Team). I fail to see your point, we all know the game is evolving. You can't ruin what already sucks.
Interesting, you discredit Keuch simply because YOU didn't see him play? I am pretty sure that's what's been keeping him out of the Hall of Fame! Sorry he doesn't agree with your point of view I am sure he will work harder to align with your universe next time
And that is exactly what he did today Lucky, he threw the big F-You to those crusty old Dolphins. No hate though, this is what good players do when they are doubted and disparaged publicly, they perform. Teddy Ginn does have some Big Tyme in his game.
I think Jason Taylor said it best when he called Kooch a bitter old man for his comments a couple years ago. I have the utmost respect for the history of our team, but sometimes you need to keep your mouth shut, and in this case, that's what they need a dose of. I don't care who you are, that's disrespectful, crude, crass, all of that. Please, someone put him in the Hall of Fame so he can STHU. Yes I said it. Because there is a way to be a dignified alumni, and this isn't it.
I agree that Keuch is an idiot but you're dead wrong to diss the past. That was one hellava team the 72 Dolphins and I'd put my money on them no matter what. They might get beat but I bet they get some respect from some of these steroids freaks today...
Playing '72 rules, there's no doubt about the outcome... Kooch just seems to come off as the crotchety old man in this... Get off my lawn!
I am not dissing the past. I am saying the game evolved and people need to realize that we do not need to put them on a pedestal. I respect what they did and we can certainly learn from what they did. And steroid freaks? You are generalizing the entire NFL with that statement. Quite frankly, I think the '72 Dolphins are a bunch of arrogant jackasses.
they deserve every right to be arrogant....no one has EVER....EVER DONE what they did......they deserve and have earned to be arrogant. its hard as **** to win 1 game in the nfl, regardless of era......let alone to win every single game you play.....thats a ridiculous statement, and makes us "young kids" look bad imo
doesn't make us young kids look like anything. you want respect, you show respect. bk isn't showing any respect by running to the media. screw him.
Well, if it takes Kooch and the 72 Phins and Marino and Duper from the 84 phins bashing Teddy G for him to perform then my goodness bash him every week!
iam not talking about his specific quote. (the media ran to HIM btw) iam talking about griddles saying the entire 72 team comes off as arrogant jackasses.....and that.....imo is ridiculous
it is arrogant. I don't care what they've done. Look if you want to be about the dolphins, be about the dolphins, run on the field and tell ted ginn what a wuss he's being. Running to the media tells me he only cares about one thing, the sound of his voice. That is very arrogant and selfish. Screw him.
read my posts this entire thread, i agree what kooch said was ******ed, uncalled for and BS.....but to lump the entire 72 dolphins as arrogant jackasses imo is ridiculous
I really don't think Kuech runs to the media. They go to him, because they know he'll just fire away off the cuff and let the chips fall where they may. Who knows, maybe Ginn got fired up after reading it.
maybe, but I think out of respect they could at the least side step the question. Its the equivalent to your boss or co worker yelling at you in front of everyone, its unprofessional. Kuech should be better then that IMO.
And yet that bitter old man's comments helped fire a terribly-perofrming Dolphins team to a huge upset over the Bears... with JT leading the way. And this time Ginn explodes for two TD returns. Like it or not, Kooch's comments may add fire and motivation for these competitive players. No one wants to be looked down on. They have too much pride for that.
I cannot believe I am on a Dolphins board and people are trashing the team that had a perfect season and won us a Superbowl, as well as other greats of our team... in order to defend a WR on the team now who may or may not turn out to be great. how does this make any sense? Honestly, I have seen a massive degradation in the quality of posting here the last several months and I cannot figure out why, but it sure is starting to feel lower-brow.
This is nothing new, as I'm sure you know. Every season about this time, the media seeks out former Dolphins greats to comment on the current state of the team. Kuech is usually the most outspoken. So why should we be surprised? Also it may have been a motivating factor for some of the players, although one would hope they don't need it as this level.
Personally....I want to hear what Kooch thinks about Porter, Bess, Fasano, the OL, our LB's, the Safeties and that new version of the fight song....
Nobody deserves the right to be arrogant. Nobody. Ever. Only A-holes are arrogant. Good men and women who are the best are dignified champions.
Nobody is trashing the 1972 Dolphins. Don't get it twisted. What's funny is you criticize the quality of posts here yet the trash spewing out of Kooch's mouth is the type of stuff that is beneath the standard we would hold posters here to, but we make an exception for Kooch because he was on the best team ever? No. I hold the 72 Dolphins to a higher standard, not lower. It is conduct unbecoming of a Champion. Period.
