Snatchez is just DYING to give this game away.......we need to come out with the adjustments needed to help him do just that
We need to cut out the "trying to outguess the other guy"playcalling and start running the ball. Then go for play action after that. We seem so conservative in the 1st half
there was no attempt to get yards on that play... it was called simply to run the clock, then have henne throw it away. Its a good playcall really, it doesnt put our ST unit on the field, and there is zero risk involved. It guarantees you get to halftime, tied. It wasnt called as a hailmary to get any yards, or points.
Bess needs to catch that ball. Our o is terrible right now yet sanchez is even worse. First team to ten might win this. If henne had the jets receivers wed be up by two tds. Posted via Mobile Device
Hey! I've already agreed to the fact that this receivers coach should be fired. Fasano has actually regressed under his tuteledge..
Are we gonna have people talking about how Bess can't catch and has terrible hands now that he's had drops in the last two games? Posted via Mobile Device
So when we've got Ginn and Bess on the outsides with Fasano at TE, may as not even drop back to pass, huh?
well, we get the ball to start the half. It'd be nice to come out of the locker room being a completely different team on both sides of the ball.
I wouldnt mind if we threw to ginn actually, nothing else is working. Havent thrown to cammarillo yet. Its tied its a new game now though Bills are winning by the way.
We can't do much more than we did in the first half. We play zone! Everyone is the secondary is LOOKING at the QB from the snap of the ball. How much more adjusting do you want? At some point players have to make plays. That is THE story of the 2009 Miami Dolphins.
Well, this game requires Ted Ginn, we need someone who can go deep and menace the defense, right now it is trench warfare, first team to make a mistake loses. Henne is a little shook at the moment, he has taken a ton of hits and seen his protections break down, Job #1 is calming Henne down. And maybe bring in Pat White for a pass, or to catch a pass out of the Wildcat.
Some real disappointing stats at the half: C. Henne 8/16 - 80 yards R. Brown 6 carries, 11 yards R. Williams 3 carries, 3 yards
some thoughts - The OL isnt opening up any holes - Henne and Sanchez are showing their inexperience. - The Defense has been playing well.
True, theyve played pretty well, I didn't say they havent. They have Gave up a few big runs, and a big pass or two, but it would still be nice to see them come out and play even better would it not? Maybe, force some turnovers for once? Which was something we did so well last year...
For those who have this game on regular tv, my stream features ex Jet Johnnie Mitchel and so far: Jeff Fisher blew it by starting Collins over Vince Young Falcons "gave up" on Brett Favre. Nantz and Simms are rocket surgeons compared to this bozo.
It's funny you mention those three. Ginn is now infamous for dropping balls and in the first half Bess and Fasano dropped balls. What would you call now if you were the playcaller? Please don't tell me a multiple receiver set. The playcalling has actually been protecting Henne from the onslaught of multiple blitzes the likes he has never seen. Do you remember the rollout play? It was a rollout because of the multiple receiver set. Henning was trying to protect the boy. They blitzed eight defensive players and we lost 10 yards. The kid cannot audible out of plays. He hasn't got that experience yet and it's obvious.
I think the defense is holding its own so far. The offense is starting to make some plays but over all the Jets have controlled this game.
I'd roll Henne out and try to hit Ginn deep down the sidelines or the middle and certainly have Greg C come underneath for a #2 option.
