Pretty sure the "hating" was about his recieving abilities, or lack thereof.

But good lord watching those 2 returns was beautiful!!

Please put him back there on punt returns. He might cost us yards by gambling on an angle or two to house it, but at least he won't give the other team 7 points while NOT even being a threat.

Pretty sure everyone was upset about his WR skills, not his return skills.

Hell no he isn't the offense woes were play calling for the most part.. Ginn was in there on opffense and he didnt make plays.

The whole thread was where are we. Were here. He's a great Kick Returner and I will agree today was a special day for him. That doesn't resolve him of his drops as a starting wideout.

Actually if I recall there were people who said he isn't a upgrade over Cobbs, he isn't good, ETC.

I wonder if people think Cobbs is still better at returns because he gets to the 20.

    Not true.

Plenty of people did. Plenty of people said he has no moves, couldn't make anyone miss a tackle, looks for the sideline immediately, even on returns.

Ted Ginn was the difference in this football game today. Period. Point. Blank.

We probably get CRUSHED without his two big returns. Offense had one solid drive.

Again, he could catch two TD's or return two kicks for TD's. I don't give a damn. 6 is 6. Wins are wins. Ted Ginn came up huge today.

You play to win the game. His play won the game. He put all of the hate on his back and rode it into the endzone. Twice.

    BACK THE F OFF.

Lets have him catch a few passes first before starting to all fall in love with him again.

He was obviously a HUGE factor in this game for us, but the fact still remains, he's not a very good receiver until he proves otherwise.

I dont "hate" the guy, just calling it like i see it.

    Yep, so was I.

Tedd Ginn is a sure-first ballot hall of famer, as soon as we can figure out how to schedule the Jests 16 games a year

Obviously we lose that game without Ginns returns.
Still doesn't mean he is still on the roster next year

He had a great game as a returner, doesn't change my opinion as a wide receiver.

Those two plays were the reason we won the game no question.

At this point I give him all the credit in the world as a returner.

By the way, Henne overthrowing the ball by a country mile was a greater contribution to the passing woes than Ginn not being at WR.

I saw more heart out of him than I've ever seen. He looked determined, focused and out to prove a point on those returns. I think there was a fire I've never seen from him before.

 dont make this a Blue/OSU rivalry. j/k Look, I like Ginn. With his speed, he has bigtime potential. But I'm tired of all the missed opportunities he's presented us on Offense. The kid has talent, he just needs to CATCH the damn ball, and run better routes.

Henne, yes, was off today. With the pressure the Jets bring though, and the fact that nobody fears our passing game with our lack of talented WR's, there's only so much he can do. Get him some weapons, and he'll be okay.

no one ever said anything about him returning kicks .... its the perfect place for him .... he doesn't have to think, just run scared ....

if he keeps running scared to the endzone ... more power to him.

thats not true at all. MANY people have questioned his return skills. And MANY fans on this site have said they want Ginn OFF THE TEAM. All those people can eat crow today.

We have beat the Jets 3 times in a row, and Ginn has scored 4 TDs in those games. Without him we probably don't win any of those games. But hey, **** him.

Couldn't of said it any better.

Look, the guy had a great game and returned 2 kicks for TDs and that was really IMHO what won the game for us.

So may he get all the praise he deserves.

I just hope that the dude STAYs motivated like this and doesnt go back to acting like a mangina now that he might feel (in his own mind) vindicated.

2 / 16 games doesnt merit me eating crow. he is a very below avg WR

i have said all along he should have been returning kicks. always should have been. thats when hes most dangerous in the open field.....he did awesome returning kicks, but where was he offensivley? no where.

our entire offense did nothing, our play calling was terrible, our running was horrible, our offense all around was putrid. thankgod for ginn RETRUNING KICKS. cause we lose without them.

doesnt change my opinion of him as a wide reciever........we get a legit. #1 WR ginn will do well as a #2 or slot wr imo.

Well I am pretty sure you draft WRs at #9 in the draft and not KR/PR. So I still want the guy to show me he is a reliable receiver before I proclaim him to be great.

Did he save the day?...yes...but that doesn't wipe away the dropped passes etc. that could have cost us two games.

Now I don't think Ginn is why we lost the NO and Indy games but was just part of the problem (teams lose not single players). Still so far he has yet to make me fall in love with him or think he was worth of the #9 pick. If he was a 3rd rounder I'd say he was a good pick/steal but he has to be a reliable receiver for me to jump on the bandwagon.

I'm not a Ginn hater but I am not on his bandwagon either...the guy still has to make me a believer...so far he just flashes brilliance then goes away. I think he would shine if we had a true #1 WR on the team and Ginn could just be a role player. If he was on the Pats he'd be a really good WR I think for sure...but Miami just doesn't have enough around him and to me he's not #1 WR quality but I hope he proves me wrong.

i have no problem with saying that he sucks as a wide receiver and getting demoted to only focus on kickoffs allowed him to make bigger plays on special teams. so i'm glad the coaching stuff saw what i saw and benched him.

Ginn hater right here, and yes, he still sucks at WR. 2 return TD's do not erase all the drops, running out of bounds right before the 1st down markers, not blocking on running plays, not fighting for balls, etc.
