Key word in this entire thread. Sometimes all it takes it one big play. One big congratulations on the sidelines from your entire team and coaching staff. Boom. All of a sudden the guy's got his confidence and swagger back and he's making plays not only in the return game but as a receiver as well. That's all it's been for Ginn. Lack of confidence, IMO. He's not running bad routes. He's not getting jammed at the LOS as much as we thought he would. He's just flat out dropping the football. Clear confidence issue. Hopefully he found what he needed with his two big plays today. I'm sure his teammates and the coaches were beginning to lose faith in him as well, and maybe he won it back today. That goes a long way.

Anyways, we've been begging Ginn to make a big play or two. He stepped up major today. What more could you ask for? He had one ball thrown his way and he came away with two 101 yard TD's. :D

No, it's pitiful that an entire fan base singles out one player as the root of this teams woes when entire groups of the team are underperforming.

I sure hope he is. His drops have been the anomaly not the norm for him in his 3 years here. He has worked hard kept his mouth shut and has done everything that has been asked of him. The kid will get it together and I hope when he does everyone will take him out from under the microscope.

ummm hartline, our rookie 4th rnd wr was wide open for a TD the 1st drive of the game.......henne over threw him.....

you need to use the same arguments for everyone as you do for ginn.

if ginn does nothing you say, henne didnt throw it to him, or there was no time for him to have the ball thrown to him.....be consistent with your arguments with every WR on the dolphins, not just ginn

Drop the he was picked #9 overall in the draft already. So sick of seeing that, like the Kid had a choice when he was drafted. Everyone knew what he was when he was drafted. Quit expecting him to be the next Jerry Rice or Randy Moss. He is a great returner that needs to work on his WR abilities, nothing more, nothing less.

That's because he is at a glorified position and was a top 10 pick that he has to live up to. He would not be singled out if he was a third round pick and people would just shrug their shoulders. Not to mention he was a controversial pick in the first place that put him under a huge microscope.

Is it fair to Ginn?...not all of it...but I understand where it comes from. Plus you drop key passes all the time and it gets you attention.

i'll be happy if for the rest of this year, Ginn gives us good field position on kick offs ...

i don't wish il on any player on the team, we'd like them all to play well .... i don't care what the names are -- because i am a PHINS PHAN.

Ginn did in fact give us the opportunity to win this game, and hopefully, he can do the same a few more times this year ... but that doesn't change his shortcomings ... or the fact that he may not be here next year.

the good news is that he can focus on being a good STs player ... and quit trying to be a WR.

I never said I expected him to be Jerry Rice or Randy Moss but the expectations are high for a high draft pick his fault or not. Also I agree with your Ginn assessment of the kind of player he is but still you can't pick and choose with the guy you have to take into account all factors.

your right Bro. My problem with Ginn was inconsistency on Kick offs, punts and as a receiver. Your right on........today I am eating crow and lots of it.......

next week may be a different story:up:

No, what's pitiful is even though Ginn HAS been a large part of our mediocre play, many feel it important to prop him up on some pedestal.

Go back and look, I repeatedly stated I hope he has another monster game against the Jests......the only problem is I will bet you honest money he now is invisible for the next several games.

Hopefully he can build on this, he has had big games before and fizzled out.

I hope he gets on a hot steak.

But to call out Ginn haters after this is a bit immature. Lets see him keep it up.

His KR's won the game today, no doubt about that.

Like i said, he didn't ask to be picked at #9, Cameron picked him then. Everyone knew they reached for him. So why on earth would you expect him to play like a top ten pick? Or as you posted #9 where he was picked. That is setting yourself up for disappointment. The kid can play, but yes he still needs work, more so at WR.

And Ted Ginn just got the game ball.

Obviously Ginn had a great game today on the returns, but like many posters are saying, the main issues with Ginn are his WR play, and they still are.

That being said, Ginn had a huge hand in winning this game for us, and THAT has probably never been said.

you obviously are missing all the hidden yardage that brian hartline racked up. I'm pretty sure sparano will have a detailed analysis on it later on in the pc

I am a Ginn hater count me present and counted for. My dislike for Ginn is that he lacks serious skills as a receiver, like not being able to run good routes and I stick by my guns.
That being said I will say something I NEVER have said in my life, Ginn helped this team to win today he deserves a game ball, but please please please keep him on kick returns and not as a receiver.

yes, the wide receivers were bad because Ginn wasn't out there. that explains why they looked so fantastic the rest of the season.

Who's propping him up on a pedestal? Most of the "ginn-apologists" or "ginn-defenders" are just trying to spread the blame out equally (as it's deserved). Not one person who has something positive to say about Ginn thinks he is more than he is, or that he is some great #1 WR. He just happens to be the most talented WR on the team. Doesn't make him great or even good, it just is what it is.

Well I am rooting for the kid but still I am waiting on him to even play like a first round WR. I'm not a Ginn hater nor a Ginn lover I just want to see the guy play as a reliable WR at least.

    What I find ironic is that people say, "he's not a #1 receiver, he's not a #1 receiver, he's not a #1 receiver."

Well he is our #1 receiver at the moment. Do we want someone better as our #1 receiver and have Ginn as a #2? Hell yes we do. But we have to work with what we got right now and right now Ginn is our best receiver. Maybe this will end us "trying to prove a point" with Ginn and just try to win football games. Something our offense sure as hell didn't do!

    its the WR coach's fault!

Ginn is not the only one who regressed this season. Fasano and bess too. Remember last year these guys were not dropping passes at all.

I like the guy, but THREE FUMBLES (got lucky they didn't challenge one) and TWO DROPS the past two weeks.

Personally, I think we are full of #3 WR's, non of them got open today making Henne hold the ball to long, and yes even Ginn was one of them.

I think if Henne hits a wide open Hartline on the first drive, that opens things up. But Henne will have his ups and downs.

Ginn did am awesome job on returns, but still nothing at WR (as did the rest)

We need to hit FA in the off season and get a true #1 go to guy still.

Hartline didn't get much chance to do anything.

Ginn in previous games often ran straight for the sidelines on KR's or just fell down when approched. As for punt returns Ginn fumbled a few.

Henne was off today but he also barely ever had time to throw unlike Sanchez having what seemed like forever on many plays.

Ginn had 2 amazing runs today and a couple other good tries. They were beautiful and I hope he gets more. If he had played like that all year their wouldn't have been as much bashing as there was.

Just a thought but maybe we could root for the Dolphins team instead of this guy or the other and trying to tear down the rest of the team to make our guy look better or our posts look justified. Just a thought.

I was very upset with Ginns lack of focus and heart. I am very glad to see him play with heart and courage today. I even saw him climb out of a pile after one return smiling. It was a great day for Ted and I am glad for him.

Our OL looked pathetic most the day.....

And as far as WR, if Ginn is the best we have that's like saying " mmmmm, this turd tastes better than the others"

He had a great day on returns......but he's still a painfully limited WR.

He was out there more than Hartline, he played his fair share. The whole WR core needs to be upgraded in the offseason.

Ginn did his job today, won the game for us, I hope he builds on this!
