I counted 7 snaps for Ginn. Not sure if he had more, but he had at least 7.

I'm not sure about that, though I do agree he probably played his fair share today.

while i agree there should be more heat on Bess, it's pretty obvious why there's not. A) he was an undrafted free agent, B) he's not been on the field as much as Ginn, and C) he's still much tougher and made more good plays for the Dolphins this year and in his career.

There probably will be and I saw posts in the game thread to cut him. I don't know whats wrong with him. He was very dependable untill the last few games. Which may be why people are not jumping on him as hard yet. I am starting to wonder if it could be our coaching / training staff for our receivers and the way our D seems to lose steam in the 2nd half.

Ginns issues are for more than just the last few games. I wish we could get all of them clicking at the same time. That would be a lot of fun to see and hopefully we eventually will.

Maybe they should start eating what Ricky and Ronnie eat for breakfast. :)

The funny thing is two of the most controversial Miami Dolphins over the past year scored three TD's

    Ginn & Taylor.

not all world. he is what he is and our receivers are what they are. the posts of the last week have been ridiculous. ted ginn, like it or not, is our best receiver and only threat. posts calling for him to be cut in favor of hartline, or calling him our 4th best receiver werte ridiculous. ginn is our number one threat on special teams and receiving corps. we can hope to upgradde next year but there is no upgrade available this year

i said this in another thread:

I'm a huge fan of Special Teams player Ted Ginn, which is exactly how Cam presented him to us at the Draft day press conference. I dont think he helps the offense that much, unless he learns how to work harder. And, in my experience with athletes that have his talent, they dont think they need to work hard. IMHO.

Please define work harder. I have never once read that this kid does not put in his time and slacks off. Just the opposite in fact. This is not the first time I have seen a fan say he needs to work harder, but all I have read from the coaches is the kid works his tail off.

It is possible that when people were criticizing his return skills, he was performing badly at returns.

Now he has picked his game up a LOT and obviously he gets credit for that.

Next week Ginn will probably have an average below 20 a return.....he was the deciding factor in todays game. But let's not act like he's this all world player all the sudden. he has looked pretty bad a lot of times in the return game, so let's not praise his performance or one game as a 'told u so' or a crow eating performance

I'm not apologizing. I think we have seen what his new role should be. Kick Returner maybe Punt Returner? And spot duty as a WR.

I think he can regain confidence in his WR skills in spot duty. No apology to Tedd. His drops cost us two games (although he did make a heck of a play striping the ball from Sharper as we all really know happend).

I'd love to see him in the slot on 3rd and long I bet he could do some real damage.

One thing is for sure, the kid is a Jet killer, and we all hate the Jets!

We win next week and it's officially on!

And so have the guys blocking for him. So if he should be below 20 yds next week lets look at the whole unit. To my untrained eye the whole unit looked pretty good today, the 2nd TD return Ginn was just incredible.

Ted Ginn Jr. is the first player in NFL history with two TDs of 100 or more yards of any kind in the same game.

    Yep........Hartline got behind the DB's

Which is why you said we had to play Ginn, cuz ONLY ginn could do that.

Stop letting those two "returns" cloud your judgment.

Most times Henne looked deep he ended up sacked.....we still need a lot of help at WR and TE. Sorry, nothing has changed in that area.

Not agruing that fact. But anybody with any football intelligence would tell you he has looked bad on kick returns, he's looked soft and tenative without a doubt. He has shown off his speed and ability at times, but to say he has been a good KR at this point of his career is just false

hartline or camariullo on any num,ber one CB is a mismatch for the opposition. Lets accept the fact that Ginn is better than any WR we have. Our passing game today compared to other games should make that case as well as any post. No possession receiver is better than Ginn. None. Ginn is more valuable than Wes Welker. Life is unfair but speed trumps hustle and work ethic. Give me Ginn's speed over Camarillos and Hartline hustle and hard work any day

Haven't read the whole thread, so please forgive if this has already been addressed. But, did anyone happen to notice the other two KO returns where he got tackled by the kicker?

Funny how many of the same Ginn apologists were sayin' how you can't blame a loss on one player are now sayin' how Ginn won this game today.

    Just sayin'...

He made plays at KR, and for that I am proud of him

However, he is not all of a sudden a great WR. IF this gives him the confidence to go out and kick *** the rest of the year at WR, then I will eat my crow.

I think if we can get a good #1 WR in the off-season and keep Ginn as a #2 or #3 receiver with his main focus on KR/PR it would work out best.

Maybe on a planet where actually making the catch doesn't matter........here on earth, not so much.

Saying Ginn is better than any of the others just because he's fast isn't much of an argument.........the guy had two great returns, a record setting day......on returns.

"Returns"...............come on say it with me adam........."returns"

I am going to agree with JS on this one. I don't see how anyone can say Ginn is our BEST receiver. Receiver's have to catch the ball and Ginn hasn't done much of that.

Ginn is the greatest deep threat out of our WR's but not the best receiver. He is one of if the only WR on our team that can stretch a defense, I have no problems saying that, but best receiver? No way, not unless he starts running better routes and catching the ball.

has nothing to do with catches. has everything to do with defensive adjustments. Without Ginn our offense did nada, zilch. Ginn keeps the defense honest even if he doesnt get one catch. Hartline, Camarillo, Bess? These are the receivers people here wanted tyo replace Ginn with. What a joke. Ginn better be starting next week because its getting close to the point where our coaching staff is going to get blamed soon.

You can pretend all you want that Hartline is just as good as Ginn but its not even close to reality. Today we saw what Haartline can do against another teams number one.....nothing. Ginn needs to start end of story and the ridiculous bashing of Ginn needs to end. He is what he is, an average to below average number one who is still better than anyone we have currently on our roster

Hell some people wanted to cut Ginn. lol. unbelievable how fans react sometimes

besides making that ctach really helped hartline today when he couldnt even get open other than one play all day. glad he has good hands though. it really helped today

ted ginn has more yds receiving than any other WR. What criteria do you want to compare the other receivers?

as for catching the ball,,,,like Fasano and Bess did today? or is Ginn better than them at this stage?

The very first series he did what it was said that only Ginn could do and got behind the DB's......

Without Ginn even being on the field...

And no, Ginn is not ANY kind of a number one receiver.....

Henne had a rough day, our O line was poor and the Jets D played a good game. Ginn being demoted had nothing to do with the poor play on offense.....not like he was never on the field. He was.......and Revis was on him like a new suit

I still think he can be an a issue with the opp. D if he on the line he has great legs .It enuf to keep the secondary on there heels and that will open anythig down low

    Canada EH!
But he also opens the field for other things to happen. I find it a little funny how our worst offensive performance happens on a day he is demoted. Coincedence? Could have been a one game thing, but it could have been that him not being on the field as much allowed the defense to play us differently.

Thank you. Coincidence right? The fans got what they wanted a putrid offensive performance. Ginn better start next week against the Patriots and leave Hartline on the number two or three CB where he belongs. Enough with the college motivational BS. PLay your best players end of story

Heck no, Ginn plays better when he has his back against the wall.

Remind him he didn't catch a pass, put the Tuna on it.

"So u think two returns for TD's is a big deal? You didn't catch a pass"

Tuna knows how to break some balls.

    This season

    Bess:

    30 catches
    206 yards

    Ginn:

    18 catches
    211 yards

As far as catching the ball today, ya Bess played poorly, but I think we can all agree that Bess is far more reliable than Ginn.

As far as career stats go Bess has 84 receptions for 760 yards in 23 games.

Ginn has 108 receptions for 1421 yards in 39 games or so.

Hartline first start against number one CBs.....zero acorss the board. He should be cut. He's clearly not a number one receiver. Lets just cut every receiver who isnt going to the Pro Bowl this year

Ideally I'd like to see him on all returns and on some end arounds, reverses, etc on offense. He can not be trusted to catch the ball, plain and simple. Sure Bess, Hartline, and Camarillo have problems cathcing the ball, running routes, etc too. But they were not #1 picks. I'm sorry if I have high expectations for first round draft picks, but I do, and those expectations are not something I will compromise.

Bess fumbled twice in two games. Shoulda been 3 fumbles. Ginn had his issues in the Saints game, and possibly the Indy game.

Bess almost helped us lose this game.

Nolephin, you sure he's more reliable? In which way
