I liked when Ryan was talking about his art with Erin and showed her a naked pic of Kelly in the office
Yeah I also liked the end with Dwight putting a piece of raw chicken on Michael's face and tries to convince Michael to fire Jim over it.Then when he says no he takes back his dinner. lmao
i think the "new pam" is really strange and not funny. i thought last night took a step back from the last few
ya im not liking the new aggresive pam......i liked it when she was shy and looked at the camera uncomfortably if michael said something offensive......now she talks back or hits him..... but i guess they are being true to her being preggers.....mood swings and hormones being all messed up is comon.....so technically they are pretty spot on with her character
Yeah thats true I guess,I thought something was different about her. Before she was all shy and now seems loud. It just seems forced when she tells off Michael.
Another great episode tonight,I really liked the whole Clue game they were playing. I also love how Stanley is always apathetic and never joins in on any games. Also the thing with Andy and Erin was interesting,I know they want to start with them being like the new Jim and Pam,so they want to take the story slow and stretch it out but it was just horrible seeing Andy mess up their date haha
I thought last night's episode was only ok. I thought the intro with Dwight doing karate moves on himself extremely painful (no pun intended) to watch, it just wasn't funny. So far I've been a bit disappointed in this season as it's been the weakest with only a few really good episodes with the rest being just ok. I did like the 'Clue' like game they played but there just wasn't a lot of laugh out loud funny parts. I'm interested to see where they're going with D/M storyline though.
Oh he has been since the middle of last season. He helps carry the show now with Michael and Dwight, since Pam and Jim have been boring this whole season. Really the writers could write Jim and Pam out and the show could keep going with Andy having a bigger role. The writers obviously would never do that since they need at least 1 sane person in D/M. I do hope Andy gets a bigger role moving forward. The better question was back in Season 3(?) when Andy first debuted as the annoying office worker who would have ever thought he'd be so important and a beloved character. I mean seriously go back and watch those first few episodes with him in it, he was so annoying (in a good way since Ed Helms is a very good comedy actor). Also isn't it time they had a new opening intro? I mean Ryan is pretty much an afterthought now (and really always was) yet he gets his name listed? Plus all of the clips are way old, from Season 1. Just update it.
I think BJ Novak (Ryan) is a big part in the production aspect too. But yeah, they really do need a new intro... just new clips and what not. I know that the sitcom Friends would have basically the same intro but they would update it with new clips as the years went on. They could do something like that and it'd be fine, IMO.
michael -"on the count of 3.....we put down our guns" dwight-"i have cross bows" i laughed my balls off..... dwight is my favorite....barely nudging out andy.....dwight can just make a face and make me laugh out loud.....perfect example.....dwight goes on about how he knows phyllis is the killer cause he mediumly expects her.....later....michael plays the tape and it announces that phyllis' character was infact the murderer......the camer shakes a bit, find dwight for .4 seconds who is staring into the camera with a look like "i ****in told you" i love it.....so much. hilarious stuff.
lol. andy has evolved. you know who i forgot was so funny was holly. those episodes are great. you tend to forget about her because she wasnt around very long i think the jim character is just getting old to a degree. im wondering if this co-manager thing is to promote him above michael to bring back the angle of michael having to deal with a boss like he did with jan i think bj novak is a writer or something. he's always been just a random weird guy lol. or maybe its really Aaron Rodgers when he isnt at practice
Major love for Dwights character as well as Toby. He plays such a small part but every time he's on screen he makes me bust out laughing. He gets piled on ALL of the time...he's like the Zoidberg of the office.
Yeah Creed is good but Creed is just like Kramer in the sense that he's great in small sample sizes but if the whole episode is based on him or he gets the majority of screen time it will get stale and not be very funny after awhile.
Creed was amazing last night! great scene! And i love the Toby scenes when ever he is with michael, i honestly enjoyed this season so far! imo a lot better than last seasons
I thought the opening scene was horrible. I hate it when networks force all of their TV shows to include something they're promoting (in this case Earth Day) as it always feels both forced and unfunny. Anyway the rest of the episode was only so-so. Although I officially hate Phyllis now (she was always a little annoying to me but she was just so smug with Jim) but I do like how the others at DM aren't taking Jim seriously. The rest of the stuff with DM was kind of boring minus the Creed/Ryan part. I was disappointed that Oscar didn't tell the heads of DM what he was telling Michael, he totally wimped out and it probably should have been his break out episode. Michael's spin move was great.
ugh, it pains me at how much this show has fallen out of favor with me. i miss the the office from the first couple of seasons.
Ok,I'm going to be honest about last nights episode and say I really didn't like it that much. It was kind of boring to me. Every episode of The Office usually gives me a good laugh but last night didn't for some reason. Also I'm not really liking Jim as a manager anymore because they changed his character along with Pam way too much. Him getting angry with Ryan for playing games was weird because it was something the old Jim would have done. I know that as a manager he has to be all responsible now but I miss the old Jim who would be all lazy at work.
This season has been pretty inconsistent. Well I agree it makes sense that Jim has changed due to his responsibilites at both work and his family life. He has to realize he needs to start moving forward with his career in order to provide for Pam and the baby. Personally if the writers decided to write Jim and Pam out once Pam has the baby I'd be fine with it but obviously they won't. I'm starting to wonder just how long this show can keep up, I think the key will be how the DM storyline goes. And hopefully it won't be resolved in a matter of episodes like the Michael Scott Paper Company.
I think the fact that DM is going out of business is a sign the show won't be on much longer. They've written themselves into a corner. Pam and Jim getting married and having a kid, and the demise of DM is a way to end the show IMO. Who knows though.
exactly. the direction isn't good IMO. pam & jim should never have gotten together (the show's antics and pranks fed off this angst surrounding the lack of relationship), and jim shouldn't be manager. "serious" jim isn't nearly as amusing. also the stock holders meeting with michael was just ridiculous. the company would never bring michael to speak there, let's be serious. you think david wallace doesn't know what to expect from michael at this point? a little too far fetched and definitely showing a demise of the show, IMO.
Ok last night's episode was pretty damn funny. The opening was great with Andy and Michael and Michael handing out lap top batteries was funny as well. Dwight's impressions of Kevin, Stanley and Tobey were great. Hopefully there are deleted scenes with him doing everyone. He was spot on. I'm looking forward to the Christmas episode, whenever it will air, since those are always pretty good.
good stuff last night. i like the move to make jim uncomfortable. the character has gotten too much of a pass
I had high hopes for the Christmas episode of The Office and was a bit disappointed. It had some funny moments but this season has just been average at best. I'm starting to wonder how much longer they can go on, I mean the show is in its 6th season it's really hard to keep something new, fresh and good.
I doubt this show lasts more than a couple more seasons. They changed too much of the office dynamic IMO
I think the show still has some gas left in the tank. I found the "Scott's Tots" bit from last week quite hilarious and good, and I enjoyed watching Michael act like a petulant child last night. The promise of the show is in the Andy/Erin dynamic ... I think if they can continue that for a while it can be enjoyable. Everyone will always prefer the older episodes ... that's natural with any show. But I think it's still better writing and entertainment than 99% of what else is available on network TV today.
"phyllis and angela are the grandmothers......pam is my wife.....stanley is.........the mailman" lmfao
The show last night was just ok,I was not as good as previous Christmas episodes. There wasn't really anything that funny or interesting happening.Just further continuing the main story with someone buying Dunder Mifflin. I am only interested in the Andy/Erin story at this point.
Yeah last night's episode pissed me off. I'm not a fan of any TV shows doing a clip show but a show like The Office, which is suppose to be shot like a doc, has no business doing a clip show. It's just lazy. What's next 24 doing one? Hopefully things will pick up next week and when Jim and Pam have the baby. Right now though I think it's safe to say that this season has been a big disappointment and easily the worst season so far.
I agree completely, this season so far I have enjoyed the least for some reason it just doesn't feel like the same show even. Also yeah the clip show seemed like a series finale sort of thing so they should have saved that,it kind of just yells out hey we had no idea what to do so here is a clip show for filler.
