One of those three will probably win. I think if Florida and Bama go undeafeted it will go down to those two. I think alot of ballots will be in before SEC title game so should be interesting

His stats are great but if we went on Stats they would rename award to "Starting QB for Texas Tech Award". Team success will hurt Standford rb and not being a big name

Tebow will probably win it because of the obsession with him.

Rushing stats aren't like passing stats though. You usually can't swap players in and out at RB and get the same numbers year after year.

    Fine, how about Dan LeFevour:
    176-257, 1848 yds, 68.5% completions, 16 TDs, 5 INTs, 145.5 passer efficiency
    123 rushes, 548 yards, 9 TDs.
    1 catch, 24 yards

Should go to Suh. If Ingram plays lights out vs Florida he should be the lock IMO.

Alot of great Defensive players not just Suh. Hard to see ingram dominating Florida but u could say if Tebow dominates he would be a lock

Because its about leading ur team to victories and its alot more impressive to do that at big time schools. Also school hype players with websites, signs, and other ways that smaller schools dont. Name recognition is huge and thats another big part but stats play a part in it too. Its hard for defensive players to win because of stats. DL will get double teamed, DB can be avoided by going oppiside of field, and LB's dont get the sexy stats like sacks or int's. They just get tackles. For a defensive player to win he must return kicks or play offense (Charles Woodson)

I don't disagree. I think a WR who can return kicks really well and play great wr while not having a great qb can win it. You are right tho its pretty much and RB and QB award.

I know that is what pretty much every voter and the general public thinks, but I don't know why it should be viewed that way. For example Florida will play 1 maybe 2 teams that are even close to their talent level, the rest of the time they have superior athletes pretty much across the board. Same goes for Texas, Alabama, etc.

At Stanford, their team will probably have less talent than their opponent about 1/2 the time, and rarely have more talent than the opponent.

At a school like Central Michigan, they may play 1 game where their talent level is clearly superior to their opponents, and those are FCS game (which the big schools have too!). Ever other game they play the talent level is pretty much equal to their opponents, or severely lower.

I'm sorry I'm not impressed when someone like Colt McCoy racks up tons of yards against UCF (who is good, but nowhere near Texas' class). Look what Colt did against Oklahoma. The Stanford rb has been consistent throughout the year, and had a huge game against a team that is better than his own. He deserves it more than most players.

I still have Tebow as the leader for the award. If he plays well against Alabama he could lock it up.

Great game from Tebow with Florida win will lock it up. Great game for Ingram and Bama win will also lock it up. SEC title, Heisman, and BCS National Title berth could be on the line in one game if both teams win out

Spiller is gonna steal it down the home stretch after he let's Clemson run the table through the ACC Championship. He might be the single most important contributing player on any team. Impartially speaking of course. ;)

What a joke. Before the season ending injury Christian Ponder's numbers were:
Rating 147.70, 2,717 passing yards, 68.8% Completions, 14 Passing TDs, 7 INTs, 2 Rushing TDs
and he never even got a mention? Why is that? Oh yeah the sportwriters are all hanging from Teblows nutz.....

I think to deserve a "Second" heisman you better have an amazing season..Tebow has played well but hasnt stood out at all. He's a great guy and a winner but there are a handful of players who have had a better year...and thats what the award is a single year accomplishment.
