I hear ya, I do put a lot of blame on Ginn just because I thought he was a bad pick from the get go. But there were more problems then just Ginn. Porter needs to worry about football and shut his trap. He diin't get 1 tackle today.

Not to mention Bess made some tough catches and he saved Henne from throwing a pick.

bess still had a couple of catches. somethings wrong with our wrs, I have a hard time, given our play last year, believing its all on them, and there isn't something else going on.

Porter is garbage. JT was not a factor today but at least he has made some plays this season and isn't running his mouth nonstop.

no it speaks to the fact, I despise people celebrating their own personal victories over the loss of a team. It has nothing to do with ginn. Its the principal.

    That's just not true.
Davone Bess has had troubles all year long holding onto the football, not even taking into account his fumbles.
Brian Hartline--this isn't his first dropped pass.
Haynos has dropped balls before, so has Fasano.

Our entire team has dropped balls...including Ted Ginn.

The WR position as a whole has zero confidence. The reason Ted Ginn gets it more than anyone is because of his draft situation. People weren't happy with the selection to begin with and it's been a feeding frenzy ever since...it's exactly like the A-Rod situation, he makes the most money he gets the most hate.

Ted Ginn has come up clutch before...what about that catch against the Jets last year? What about the returns that WON us the football game last week?

Where our front office needs to get smart is to realize he isn't a guy to be counted on to be out there as a #1 WR. He is a WEAPON has KR/PR and needs to be used as such, yet he isn't...Why?

He has a place on this team, but it isn't what we expect of a #9 pick. However, he is very dangerous as a returner.

Just like Jason Allen has a place on this team as a dangerous ST Ace.

no ones bashing him, and certainly we praise him for his KICK RETURN SKILLS not his WR SKILLS... but the fact thats he's had countless times to make a game changing catch and comes up short.

the way I see it he doesnt deserve the money he is being paid and certainly never deserved to be a 1rst round pick.. him and his family can pack it up and go be a #2 or #3 wr some where else

Listen he made a couple catches and Im as happy as anyone that he did. But he also dropped a few that were drive killers. He has also fumbled a couple times, one that cost us a game and another that almost cost us a game.

Listen I'm going to get into what catch or miscue cost us a game. It's more of an accumulation of errors that either win or lose games for you.

Porter had a good year last year and should have been set to have another 1, like Lucky said there is something else going on and I think it has to do with coaching.

Maybe it's a nagging injury, coaching, age, I don't know. All I know is if he made even a few plays it would help this defense immensely.

By the end of this season you'll be supporting him either as a part time player or on another team. Because he's about to run out of chances at WR.

I said in a post lost somewhere here on phins in a Ginn thread, if they just keep Ginn at KR, im good with that. But, for people to blame Ginn for todays loss is ridiculous. This was a Team loss, not a Ginn loss.

hes run out for now...............hate to break it to you though, I don't think he's going anywhere. pretty sure he's cheaper to keep around and given ne's fear of him on kickoffs, I'm willing to be he gets at least another year.

There's a difference between costing us a game to being one of the main reasons as to why we lost. Ginn was a big reason, he's not to blame but a HUGE reason. Thank god next year we will be different at WR, cuz as of now were terrible

only way we'll keep him is if they restructure his contract and he gets paid like a KR/ #3 WR

i've posted several times about Bess, and how much of a disappointment he's been this year, based off of the potential he showed last year .... he didn't show an inability to get separation or making and holding onto catches last year - that he seems to be plagued with this year ....

but Landshark and FreeStyle, the calls for Bess will be coming unless he can turn it around .... people overlook him thus far, because all the focus remains on Ginn ....

Ginn got and deserved kudos for his KRs last week, and he did respectable again this week ... but a WR he just isn't ....

they may not be gifted, but we need to get Hartline and CAM on the field together consistently and let Bess work the slot .... and see if he can get going

from what ive seen the only thing that hes getting alot of is guaranteed money. I think his salary is like 1 point something mil. Doesn't seem like alot for a wr. and Im assuming his guaranteed money is going down.

For those of you complaining about the Ginn drop, that's fine ... I don't want to leave him off the hook ... he deserves it.

But our defense gave up over 425 yards to the Patriots, and we gave up 27 points. Our season average for points given up is now 25.5 ... which should be good for something around 5th worst in the NFL.

We won't win jack, especially with a second year QB and shaky WR play, when our defense is giving up those kind of numbers.

he consistently gave us decent returns today, and yet he drops a pass that's high and behind him and he's to blame? Dude, we are all upset with this loss but keep things in perspective.

    Well just for the record...

#1... we didn't get pressure to Brady without blitzing, not consistently enough... although we did #2 run the ball 31 times, and only gave up two plus 25 yard plays. Two out of three not bad... but not good enough to win.

thats fine then, unless we can trade him for some good draft picks throw his *** on the bench and let him return kicks.. he can pout to his daddy on the sideline next yr. as he watches our new Wr ( who ever that be) makes plays

that way Ginn can say I WANNA BE LIKE HIM WHEN I GROW UP

There's a couple of other things to consider about the WRs:

    1) I think it's clear that Henne is affecting them. We always heard about Pennington throwing a "catchable" ball ... and while we as fan love the bullets that Henne throws, they aren't as easy to catch. Bess, in particular, has struggled, which makes sense. He played with Brennan and Penny up until a few years ago, and neither of them has any real arm strength.

    2) The shining bright spot from a potential perspective is Hartline. Cammy is maxed out in terms of what he can do, and both Bess and Ginn appear to have regressed. Some of that may be the QB change, but some of it also has to fall on coaching. Karl Dorrell really needs to be held accountable for this unit underperforming.

I dont blame the D too much. we have extremely young CBs and a young S in Clemons.. the older gus just havent gotten it done all year. I think Vontae did VERY good against 1 of the best today, even got a nasty pick over him early

Please go get Brandon London back. Drop Kory Sheets off the roster. At least London looked like he was coming on, but we dropped him because we drafted two middle round mediocre WRs.

Henne hasn't played great but believe me if he had a decent WR core he'd be having 2 TD games without much trouble. He's a good quarterback, there's no question.

I don't really want anyone called out. What I would like people to understand is two years ago we were 1-15. Bill and his staff can only really fully address a couple issues a year. I fully expect them to address the WR position. In fact I'm counting on it. But truth be told there is plenty of blame to go around, and it doesnt start and stop as Ginn.

I find it hard to not blame the D. You're right, the secondary looks good. But where's the pass rush? Why is Laurence Maroney suddenly running all over us? When will we cover a TE?

The D is just giving up way too many points right now, period. The only team we've held to under 20 points have been the Falcons (19) and the Bills (10). Everyone else has gone for 20+ on us.

Alot of discussion about the WRs today. I'll change it up and say I thought Jason Allen had an alright time in limited duty.

I think it's time to get Cam Wake more snaps in place of Joey/JT.

Just put Ginn Jr. in on both return teams and end that. As for the offense who knows what you do at WR because Camarillo, Bess, Turner, Fasano, and Haynos are ****ing slow as molasses. Hartline is average.

How the hell do you push the field with such slow WRs. Why the hell is the only guy with the total physical package in Brandon London off the team?
