its easy to jump on ginn. he was barely on offense (for some stupid *** reason)

but imo this game comes down to our lack of WR playmakers overall....(not just ginn) and our absolute pathetic play calling.

im sorry, but dan henning called another horrible game. ronnie didnt get the ball enough, stupid times to put pat white on the field....almost like we were wasting plays to set something up that never happened.

**** this. this sucks. our defense kept us in this game. our offense choked on a big one. and i blame our lack WRs and dan henning.

    thoughts?

you're all over the place just a few minutes ago you were saying the defense sucks. :confused2: is this what losses do to you

i think we kept ourselves in the game for a long time against a division rival on the road.

that says a lot to me.

My thought is that for some odd reason Dwayne Bowe is not catching passes for the Miami Dolphins, moving the chains and opening up enough running room to score 24 points-27 points and at least send it to overtime. Instead we have a bunch of garbage at WR.

Played much better then I thought they would.

But those dropped passes are drive killers.

our defense did good enough (with our #1 corner out) to win the game

jason taylor and joey porter need to look in a mirror and pick it up. porter didnt even register a ****ing tackle. hes a *****. joey porter is our bart scott. talk talk talk.....then do nothing significant on the field.

cam wake gets limited reps....and has a big sack. hmmmmmmm?

You're really blaming Dan henning? He called a 10 minute offensive drive to start the second half that put us in the lead. I blame the WR corps more than anything. Overall they're just not good enough.

At least we don't have huge needs next year. That's all I can look at (we're not finished this year either for a wild card spot).

    - Clemons
    - Wake

Eventually will find the starting lineup. Honestly I never thought a team's WRs could be so bad that they cost your team wins but they have. Our WR play has been that bad.

**** ya I blame Dan Henning for a stupid reverse when your offense is moving in a conventional set.

I think Jason Taylor got hurt during the game. He was on the sideline on sure passing downs.

I have a lot of thoughts about this team right now ranging from "uh-oh" to "eh-I knew this would happen."

Overall I expected to lose this game and don't think it was a season killer. Miami simply has to beat NE at home then ask for some help from NE's brutal schedule and Miami's soft. 10-6 could get this team in the playoffs and no one can say this team doesn't play with every team out there. Yes you can say every team competes but fact of the matter is that Miami has been in position to beat 3 out of the 5 best NFL teams and I think are close to building a special team.

My concern is still is the losses talent or coaching. I think that Miami in 4 of their 5 losses had the least amount of talent on the field and were coached well enough to win. However at the same time coaching decisions have been completely foolish at times and bad coaching can take a team forever to overcome.

All in all I hope and pray that Miami simply is still under talented and its not coaching. I think Miami needs another draft and FA to be the team we want them to be.

Also once again folks don't quit on this team. They were 5-5 through 10 last year and with TB and Car the next two weeks that could be the case again. The second half of the season is equal or lesser than last year and this year's team appears better. So let's keep our chin up...if we lose to TB then we can lose our minds.

Ginn dropping the ball on 4th and 15 is the exact reason.

Roonie ran it 15 times and Ricky only ran it 7 times. their average? Ronnie 3.2 to Ricky's 4.7. Why do the Dolphins keep forcing the issue with Ronnie?

agreed 100%. i figured we lose this game. we win at home and its all good.

    we still have.....at 3-5

    tampa W carolina W buffalo W Tennessee W Jacksonville W Houston W Patriots @ home W

thats 10-5 and depending on situations....we got the steelers at home....with them either resting their starters or playing for the playoffs. either way imo its a toss-up

this season isnt over. next season is our year. im calling it now. with the right moves in FA and draft.....next year we are superbowl contenders.

stop it. ginns was in his hands in stride. hartline had to dive....and the game doesnt end with him dropping the ball. its makes it easier if he catches it.....but if its the other way around......ginn would be getting defended because the ball was a tough catch

They need to get to 5-5 plain and simple, then put their head up and see what's down the line.

They've been chasing 500 for what seems like an eternity. Beat Tampa Bay and Carolina and then you've got a chance again. After that the Bills on the road isn't ridiculously tough, it can be done. Come home and get revenge on the Patriots and guess what you're 7-5 with a chance to beat the Jaguars in a fairly winnable game, beat the Titans in Tennessee.

You're now 9-5 and you have two very tough home games to decide your season.

The path is there, but they just made it tough for themselves. First comes 5-5.

Chalking up a win after a short week, on the road in Carolina against a pretty decent football team is asinine.

I think this Patriots game was a must-win if we wanted to entertain any thoughts of football in January. We're not winning out, and 10 wins isn't going to get it done because we're going to lose tiebreakers to everyone and their mother this season.

exactly. thanks for proving my point.....trying to use hartlines negative to make ginns negative more acceptable is a joke. they both should've caught it. the only difference is hartline isnt a chronic choke artist this season, ginn is.

You mean only over the course of this year. Ginn never had drop problems until this season. With all the mistakes made by this team, Ginn does not deserve all the blame. But yet he always gets it.

You're right, every play was not effective, fire him. What specifically did he do wrong? Is it his job to execute? My only real problem was when they tried to run that wildcat flea flicker to Henne. I saw that play developing ahead of time, it's no wonder the Pats were all over it. This was hardly his fault, you can wow all you want, it doesn't change anything.

    I agree.

My brain says Miami finshes 5-3 to finish 8-8 overall but my heart and Fin dominated part of the brain says 7-1 can do the job (8-0 just seems too optimistic right now lol).

Lets just say I am going to be hoping and praying for Indy, NO, NYJ, and Hou to knock off the Pats (all are away games for NE but the Jets). If they lose just two of those and Miami takes care of business against them the season is saved.

I just wish the realistic part of my brain would quit popping up.

Also look for NE to be getting huge love from ESPN and a top 3 power ranked team everywhere. Although I think that starts sliding as they could lose their next 3 and I do think they'll lose 2 of the next 3.

Guys, blaming Ginn or whomever will not change anything. I don't know about you all but I'm over blaming players for losses. The bottom line is a good receiver makes those catches at the end of the game. The position needs to be upgraded. And it will. And soon this will be a moot point.

It's not that unrealistic that Miami makes the playoffs it truly isn't. Cinncy probably has four more losses coming up.

Chances are we make the wildcard though this year. The competition mainly includes

    Cinncy/Pitt (11-5)
    Houston (11-5)
    Baltimore (10-6)

That's really about it. The Jets are done thanks to us more or less. We can take out Houston at home (as opposed to what history says).

It's a really question of what the AFC North teams do. If one of them falls off we've got a solid shot at the playoffs. It's going to be one of those Miami coming on strong at the end of the year years as always, but there's a good shot. We haven't seen Miami play a week team in a while so we'll see how they do on the road against Carolina, on the road against Jacksonville.

Where's SD in that analysis? Don't forget, they own a head-to-head tiebreaker over us. Again, this team is not winning out, and they're probably not going to the playoffs.

Well what else is there concerning Ginn? It's not like he's providing anything that can be used as a real defense for him.

As far needing him on the field?.......for what?

    He's a track star....not a receiver

We should have a 4-2 division record at worst which gives us a good chance of snagging a wildcard if we win most of the remaning games. It's not unrealistic with the remaining schedule. Have to find a way to put down Houston though.

i think miami needs to hire jerry rice/and /or chris carter as a consultant to this young receivers to teach them route running and how to be a more effective receiver. It the biggest draw back on offence. we can run the ball with the bests of them but we really don't have a hardcore passing game.with the wildcat and we put in a hella of passing gaming we can be become almost unstoppable force

    Well said.
I thought the game was much closer than I expected. We held them to FGs which was big.

The dropped passes were the story of the game.
