Come on "you" we've played 3 elite teams, this two seasons from being 1-15, yet for all of the weeping, wailing, complaing, doomsaying does not change the fact that we have stood toe to toe with teams that are supposedly our "betters".

Quite the opposite, the more playing time the youngsters see, the more bonded they become, the more savvy they become.

To talk turkey, Vontae Davis was in Moss's hip pocket with safety help, Cam Wake beat the RT clean, it looked easy.

Our next 5 games are our season, we are headed into them peaked and hungry, really hungry....

Next 5 games are huge. We need to take care of these winnable games before we play the Pats again. I think we can beat them in Miami. And hey, the Texans and Ravens both lost today.

I thought he only had safety help a few times. Most looked 1 vs 1.

They were great, now they seem average at best. But i think its more cause Henning won't spread the offense out, he wants to keep running power football vs 9-10 man fronts.

Cam Wake beat the Patsies starting RT like he was standing still, VD made Moss look bad on that INT, P White looked great running the ball.

The more they play, the better they become, the Band of Brothers will see us through the next 4 games, then we have to face combat at home at Landshark.

Best believe the Phins are hungry, really hungry.

Now we are the few, the happy few, who still stick around for the SparanoPhins...we are the Band of Brothers.

I tried in another thread to explain that our SuperBowl chances this year were minimal
    however
we could/should use the remainder of the season (while playing to win) developing our future players, tweaking our systems & improving team report

I continue to think that year two is simply too early for the Franchise to make the run @ the Big Enchilada
    however
it is the perfect time to move ahead establishing our game & seasoning our roster, preparing for 2010

you've go to bake that cake before you can eat it  we've got most of the ingredients, the rest will take time

We will Contend in 2010

We are an AFC Championship Game calibur team, of that I have never waivered, we are tough, disciplined and hungry, we have had a rough go of it, but if one notices, no longer are players just burning our secondary.

And Cam Wake is getting hot again, check out 2nd qtr 20 seconds left, Wake and JT about made a Brady sandwich...

We have that Eye of the Tiger, no one can keep this team down...no one.

Vontae is gonna terrorize QBs for years to come I think 2 or 3 more picks are realistic, given that Jake Delhomme throws the ball to the other team like there's no tomorrow and Josh Johnson sucks as well.

    gonna be, wonna be
all this is true & more
    but we still need time

we need a few more pieces: ILB, NT, WR & TE & the time to develop the talent
& we need time to season and develop the rookies we already have on the team

undeniably, we need time to finish the Rebuilding Project. it is what it is:dunno:

Josh Johnson isn't the starter for TampaBay. Freeman is, and he had a great debut today.

    No doubt Padre....

Cant remember a loss where I ever felt really positive..I thought we played a very solid...very fundamentally sound game. 0 turnovers...we are just a few..few players from being a team that can win it all...and a #1 receiver from making a solid playoff run....

    the good:
    1) I liked the WildCat with Pat White
    2) thought Hartline is developing nicely
    3) liked Ricky's touchdown run
    4) Grove handled Wilford
    5) Davis had some very good moments
    6) Wake showed signs of life when he got the chance to play
    the bad:
    1) the Orca-5 played w/o consistency, especially Long
    2) the run defense & pass rush played badly
    3) several questionable calls on both offense & defense
    4) too many dropped passes
    the ugly:
    1) we lost the game
    2) it was to New England

If we can win the next 5 games, then we can really talk about playoffs.

    Friend Padre31:
    1) Pennington's experience & leadership had much to do with that AFCE championship
    2) we have developed a culture of aggression & toughness
    3) Wake is the next JT
    4) true, but even tigers need time to come into their own
    5) we are a NT, ILB, WR, TE & another year away from clawing our way to the top of the NFL

We will Contend in 2010

Well the first step in going 5-0 or 8-0 is "Team Integrigty" the whole team has to buy into the ideal, then they have to play, then they have to hold each other accountable.

My point is, the Band of Brothers has formed, they support one another, they make plays that pick each other up, they never single out a teammate for criticism, and they play hard at all times.

Ted "mouse" Ginn did not complain about C Henne's use of a non existant Timeout, JT did not complain about Bess dropping balls, and Sparano gave it a good shot.

And the Team, they bought into it.

Henry the V will slowly see his bloody nose clear up as we win more games.

That and the folks who have commented on this thread were here during the dark time of 07 and early 08, they know how this works..

We're not that far off, the Ravens are 4-4, the Texans are 5-4, the Jets are 4-4 and we own them, I'm a little concerned about the Steelers and Chargers in the wildcard picture but we still have a shot to beat Pitt. I'm not so convinced both wildcards will come from the north. The Ravens aren't looking invincible or anything. I think if the team stays focused and strings together some wins they'll be right back in it. Barring a mishap in Buffalo they'll have a 4-2 division record at worst which will put them in a good spot for wildcard tiebreakers. With the Pats brutal schedule the division still isn't entirely out of the question either. The media is ecstatic that they've been able to recrown the Pats but we'll see what happens when they face the league's elite.

And, if he continues the pattern he established in college, he'll have a bad one next week.

It'll be his first start on the road, too, something that plays into our favor.

our season is simple ... win the next 6 games to put us in a position to play HOU & PIT for a playoff spot ... CAR and NE are the only tough games in that span ... really just the rematch with NE - but CAR has been playing better lately, and has a good defense.

5-1, and 9-5 going into the last 2 weeks would put us in a very good position.

no matter the most we can lose and make the playoffs is 1 more game ...

where i disagree is that we are not an AFC Championship / SB team this year ... our weaknesses are just too pronounced and we can't cover them up ....

The good news is that, outside of Pittsburg to end the season, every other team we face from here on out is in the bottom half of the NFL in defending the run.

Tampa, Carolina, and Buffalo are all 25th or worse.
