Lol, this is comedy... LSU loses and moves up. Other teams losers barely drop. http://espn.go.com/college-football/bcs God I hope the season ends with 4-5 undefeated teams.
1 Florida 9-0 2 Alabama 9-0 3 Texas 9-0 4 TCU 9-0 5 Cincinnati 9-0 6 Boise State 9-0 7 Georgia Tech 9-1 8 LSU 7-2 9 USC 7-2 10 Iowa 9-1 11 Ohio State 8-2 12 Pittsburgh 8-1 13 Oregon 7-2 14 Miami (FL) 7-2 15 Houston 8-1 16 Utah 8-1 17 Arizona 6-2 18 Penn State 8-2 19 Oklahoma State 7-2 20 Wisconsin 7-2 21 Virginia Tech 6-3 22 Brigham Young 7-2 23 Oregon State 6-3 24 South Florida 6-2 25 West Virginia At least we moved up.
LSU played #2 team in country and had it not been for bad call and 2 key injuries might have won. I think LSU is around where they should be. When u have two losses on season and they are by #1 #2 teams its not that bad. LSU also could have won both games and lost by 10 or less. What other two loss team can say that?
It kimd of does matter. Rankings are suppose to represent best teams in the country and LSU should be up there. Besides teams in front of LSU lost two which had affect
Not really. TCU, Boise, Cinci, probably wouldn't be in there so high if it was just about being the best team.
Dude, when you lose, no matter what, you DROP. No excuse. It might be only a few spaces, but a loss means that you go down a bit. Alabama is ranked very high, but you still should drop a bit in the rankings. Penn State lost to OSU and they're both in the top 25. Doesn't matter about bad calls or injuries or whatever, their loss dropped them down.
Depends on what those around you do. I dont really see a team behind them that should clearly be ahead of them.
TCU, Boise, and Cincy are some of the beat teams in the coutnry and are undeafeted. They should be there
Please show me the rule that says a team must drop no matter what. Just because you think they should drop does not mean they have too. They lost a close game to a team many believe is #1 and some teams in front of the dropped because of losses to worse teams than them. LSU is a top 10 team and are where they belong
I'm with skeet.. actually, I think LSU would beat numbers 5-6 and 7.. maybe number 4 too, if they played this weekend. They played what I think is the best team in football very close.
Wht would u say that? Boise dismantled Oregon in the Autzen which is one of the best wins by any team in College Football. TCU has clearly dismantled teams they have played and even beaten multiple teams from big confernces. Hard for both those teams to get a schedule much harder when ppl wont play u. Cincy is winning the Big East which is no where near the Big Least anymore. Cincy has a great quality win over Oregon State who is one of the best teams in Pac 10 and beat them at there house. sorry KingFelix :-( Those three teams deserve there ranking
I think TCU is legit. They are very impressive and Gary Patterson has that team playing at a very high level. Speaking of Patterson, this dude needs to be offered a better job than TCU. Go coach at a big conference.
I'll admit to not having seen much of TCU. My problem is that these teams (TCU and Boise) don't play anyone. And if they do it's once a year, they don't have to fight week to week. I'm not sure Boise is better than lets say...Clemson or a team of their caliber. Cincy is a good team but one of the best in the nation? Not so sure.
As seen in the other thread, that doesn't seem to bother them because they offer to play tough teams and don't get the opportunity to, or at least in Boise's case. I think TCU is legit though. That 4-2-5 defense is fantastic and the offense has gotten a lot better. The wide receiver, Kerely, has done some nice things for them and Joseph Turner is finally healthy. Btw, TCU beat Clemson in Clemson and BYU @ BYU.
Point taken on TCU. Like I said I haven't seen much of them. Alen did you read deeper into that thread? The only date Boise offers to play teams is opening week. They want to steal a victory IMO
Honestly, I didn't read deeper into the thread but I'm fine with them playing on opening week. At least they are offering to play stronger teams.
Yeah but those teams are saying fine, just not opening week. The general idea is that if they wanted to play week three...FINE. But week one is when most upsets occur. Boise knows that will be the only game they play all year, they can sell out all summer for that one game knowing they have weak competition after. Teams havent come together yet...it's lose/lose for a top program. If you beat Boise you are supposed to. If you lose there goes your season. It's why I hate Miami and FSU playing week one.
There's no RULE as far as I can find. But if you lose a game, you should drop. If not, there would be no point in a system, 'cause the high ranking teams, playing ranked teams that they lose the game to, would never drop out of the top 25, and there'd be a line of teams waiting to get in the top 25. LSU is a great defensive team, but their offense sucks. That doesn't mean they shouldn't be in the top 10, but there are other teams that have earned the right. I guess we'll see what happens in the coming weeks to see who belongs where.
You are not giving the Tigers much credit. There offense is better than u think. QB has been a problem but Jordan Jefferson is getting better. LSU has the best WR tandem in the country and RBs arent half bad. They had some costly injuries in that Bama game too. LSU would have dropped but because other teams lost it caused them to move up. They had a very impressive performance againist one of the best teams in the country.
In a way I think so, but QB's have made some strides but their still not on the level their supposed to be at, yet.
