net, not note. here's what i've got so far http://www.laptopmag.com/review/lapt...sung-nc10.aspx I've looked into this a bit. I'm not sold on it and I plan to go shopping for one on Monday, but I like the way this one sounds. There were 11 negative reviews on Amazon (to an astounding 344-ish 5 star reviews). The negative reviews pretty much said that they couldn't connect via the wireless card, and that one person didn't like that the bottom of the computer had vents.. . I didn't really go through the positive reviews, but from watching the video it has 6 hours of battery life (roughly) and has a proc. that's on par for netbooks and a decent sized HD.. ram also upgradeable, although for what I want this to do I probably won't need it. Anyone have any other models you recommend? Lenovo is the only other company I've really looked into...
Wait for Woot or Woot.sellout to put one on sale; usually around $300 or less. Almost always Acers, FWIW.
http://www.buy.com/prod/asu-1005ha-pu17-bk-asu-crosslink-2gb/q/loc/101/212798036.html?adid=17070 A ton of features and the price is right.
I love my new Lenovo S10-2 -- battery life of six+ hours, nice features, very good reviews. http://www.buy.com/prod/lenovo-idea...-6ghz-10-1-wsvga-1gb/q/loc/101/211242796.html
thanks guys looking at them soonish. due to their size they generally can't perform as much as the larger notebooks because they don't have the space for the components. hmm. so it is true. size does matter.
Depends what you want the netbook to do and what features are most important for you. If you want mobile broadband service Verizon Wireless will sell you one cheap. Like under 200.
ive just got rid of a samsung nc10, it was good, battery life second to none, ideal for carrying around coz its as light as a well stocked wallet, but the reason i got rid of it was it was a little too small, ive since upgraded to a Toshiba Satellite Pro U400, not quite a full size laptop at 13.3" but still small enough to carry around comfortably. The battery life is turd though, but then again it is a dual core and has a bigger brighter screen. I get around 3 hours on mine but ive invested in a 9 cell battery and although it makes it heavier its worth it for the extra 1 - 1 and a half hours.
yeah, so, lucky.. I'm very glad you told me to wait. I'm going to be able to get this computer http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115576 for $189 on friday apparently.
well I haven't that's just the best deal I've come across so far and the specs are on par with other netbooks. I actually meant to look into the Satellite.
You better be there when the deal goes live so that you don't miss out. I could definitely see that item selling out quickly.
Yeah it's an online thing at newegg.com If I gotta pull an all nighter tomorrow night so I'm there when the sale goes on at 6am dammit I will be
Not cheap, but this will be one of the best Netbooks when released sometime in Dec. http://www.engadget.com/2009/11/19/asus-ion-packing-eee-pc-1201n-gets-official-gets-handled/ It's biggest advantage: NVidia ION Chipset and a true Dual Core Atom CPU.
yeah so i went with this it was too good a deal to pass up= http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834115667
