I didnt get this draft personally, it set a bad start to the season in my mind. Pat White imo was a wasted pick. We blow 2 picks on wide recievers who arent contributing much. Turner the Bench Burner and the Cam/Bess clone Hartline - what did they add to our team? Why did we bring them in? Why did we not take a shot on a speedier guy like Johnny Knox, Mike Wallace, Mike Sims-Walker etc? I didnt get it at all.

A slow unprepared, unready start to the season to follow. I dont get the same feeling from this team that I did last year, and coaching staff is more to blame than anyone. When you consistently lose close games, games you can (should?) win, that starts to fall on poor coaching. Terrible coaching (Dorrell), playcalling (Henning) and overall game/clock management (Sparano) - utter lack of adjustments. We are getting blown up in the second half.

We need some talent, but we need the coaches to turn it around as well, I am very very dissapointed in how they are coaching up this team this year - especially as they seemed so good last year.

I woldnt quesstion this team's mental toughness FFIC, how many times have we seen young players go into a shell at critical points in a game? Has that happened at all this year? This team has not given up once.

funny how he leaves Miami and all of a sudden he's a good OC.

I'm sorry, but I think Dan Henning needs to go.
His 2nd half play-calling has been baffling almost all season. The need to throw Pat White out there when Henne is playing well is beyond me. Why we don't run Ricky and Ronnie right down the throat of teams in the 2nd half is completely frustrating.
If I'm missing something, would someone please let me know, because Henning is seriously grinding my gears.

The blitz and Henne's inability to beat the blitz is hurting Henne right now

I did not expect us to be 3-5 at our half way point.
I thought we would have a solid pass rush
I thought we would be healthy.
I had a feeling our lack of quality WRs would bite us in the *** and it has.

It pisses me off to see all the young talent at WR around the league and I look at our roster and I see we have nothing.

I used to feel the same way about our QB situation but not anymore.

Before the year started though I thought we were a 7-10 win team we will most likely fall within that range.

I think our Bi-polar coordinators frustrate the hell out of me and have cost us a few games.

so no I am not thrilled with the way our year has gone.

I agree with the lack of quality wide receivers. I just cannot think of a game where I can point to the lack of quality receiving as the main factor for the loss. The only game where I can point to the lack of quality receivers really hurting Miami is the Falcons. Still the entire offense was absolutely pathetic.

I just feel that if Miami had a quality pass rush they would even have a chance of being undefeated. Well maybe 7-1 because I do not know if a quality pass rush would help against the Falcons.

By quality I mean pressures as well as sacks. Miami is ok in the sack department. Just pretty crappy in the pressure department.

The funny thing (or tragic) thing is, with Ricky, Ronnie and Cobbs before he got hurt, is that we don't even need a great WR set to be a good team. He just need a decent set. A good set. And we don't have that.

I still have no idea what we were doing with Turner and Hartline. Last year it was Hilliard and what's his name. Does that mean we do not even go WR next year? who knows. I mean, even philly now has a couple decent WRs. Imagine us with just one damn good WR right now. Our record would be completely different.

Padre ... we don't have all the answers on the roster ...

    no answer:

    ILB (#1 need)

OLB (#2 need, even if Wake and Roth start next year) ... still absolutely believe that Merriman will be a PHIN next year -- THAT will fix our OLB problem

WR (Hartline, CAM will stick) .... Turner is a ???? and Bess seems to be regressing

TE .... albeit, i don't think we are in as bad a shape here .... Fasano immediately gets better with better WRs ..... same for Haynos - and we'll see where Nalbone is next year ...

    answers we have:

NT .... Soliai is starting show some serious promise, i just hope that he wasn't injured last week ... he seemed to hurt his leg and wasn't the same afterwards ... then add in McDaniel and Starks

S .... Clemons is getting some experience, and will be a nice plug-in by the end of the year. he looks like he has some big play potential

OL .... i think we'll have some very good back-ups by next year with Murtha, Gardner, etc ...

The good news is our answers can be found in FA .... and back it up in the draft .... we'll have plenty of $$$$ to sign an OLB, ILB, WR .... that is all we NEED to take that last step.

    Fair tough questions Johnny..

I look at it like this brother....last year we could'nt even hang with elite teams...they whipped us..

This year, we are, were not overmatched, and were beating those teams up physically to some degree. and were doing so with a young qb in his 6th game..

Last year, Tony said in a presser that, the team could go either way at that point, and that it was a fragile locker room...

Well, i just heard him say the same exact thing the other day..He also sounded confident that he would not let his team go the wrong direction.

Lets see if playing 3 of the top 5 teams early in the season helps us for the 2nd half...

Their energy level this week will tell me alot..if there up for a 2nd half run, then we should see them beat the bucs pretty good, if we struggle, then its time for universaldraft.com buddy...should be interesting to watch sparano here and how he motivates and keeps his football team from folding up shop..

I like our coaches makeup in this situation....

Iam gonna go on the record just to brighten your day....Anquan boldin will be a miami dolphin next year...

I think were a better team overall at the same stage last year...now lets see if we can put all that big game experience to use on the lesser teams, and make a run.
