http://twitter.com/ScoutingBureau/statuses/5591203770 Interesting, not sure who cut to make room for him though. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=16965&draftyear=2009&genpos=rb And it is interesting to note how similar Davis is to Kory Sheets, all around backs who are fast who can return kicks, to me they are setting themselves up for 09 and looking through Rb's who can return kicks and punts as well as maybe fillin for the WC.
Boy we just continue to bring in these athletic speed guys to the Practice Squad ... first Sheets, now this guy ... even a guy like Murtha turned in a blazing 40 time at the combine. Apparently he was cut from Detroit a few weeks back and had a tryout with us last week. http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=16965&draftyear=2009&genpos=rb
Both Sheets and Davis are or were kick returners in college, I have to wonder if they are being looked at to replace Ginn or just compete for the job next season? Head to head I like Sheets better as he has similar numbers and more starting experience in college, but Davis apparantly explosive himself but does not have Sheets college resume'.
Were you guys aware that JD Folsom was elevated from the practice squad to the regular roster for the Pats game? I hadn't seen it reported anywhere, but noticed him on the sidelines and on special teams.
I think he may just be a potential "dummy" to mimic Clifton Smith (Bucs KR) during practice this week. I could very easily be wrong though, just my initial feeling.
folsom and kershaw traded places. kershaw was brought up from the PS to active roster for the jets game. then him and jd folsom switched spots.
I was holding out hope Bro....but the 4th and 15 drop sealed the deal for me Lets not forget the one block needed for White to take it to the house and Ginn runs right by his assignment avoiding contact!!!!!!!!!
Nah. They're looking for another Patrick Cobbs to take that versatile role behind the two starting backs. Nothing to do with Ginn here.
Unless he never drops a pass this season his fate is sealed. He will be traded for a 4th or 5th rounder to Baltimore IMO.
When I read it, I honestly thought maybe they are bringing this guy now so they can activate Turner at WR, make Ginn inactive, and have the new guys returning the kicks. Especially against TB to see what they got. I don't know though.
they keep churning the bottom up & looking under rocks GinnJr carries a big price tag for a sometimes return specialist better step up & show some character & consistent talent soon. this is year three for the would-be return/receiver ace might as well be strike three, if he can't impress in 2009
A couple of questions for you fellow fin fans; How much priority do you see the Dolphins putting on wide receiver this coming off season? And who else do you feel is a candidate to not return next year besides Ginn?
a healthy Marion can bring Ginn's speed to the field ... but we'll likely bring in someone of: Jackson, Marshall, Breaston, Henry .... i think Breaston is the most likely candidate - as i don't see ARI signing him (unless they finally trade Boldin) Bess is on notice right now as well .... so only Turner, CAM & Hartline right now ... with Marion being a question .... and we'll see what Pruitt can do after a year on the PS ...
