My 1994 Toyota Tercel is finally about to be retired to the great junkyard in the sky. I'm looking for a new car. I likes the Scion xB and the Nissan Cube. Anybody own one and can tell me how you like it?
My best friend has an xB, and I have to say it's one of the best cars I've ever been around. Reliable, cool design, comes with everything in the base package - unless you want to trick it out. Heard good things about the Cube too. Have you checked out the Kia Soul? Kia is getting some awesome consumer ratings in the last 5-7 years.
There's a few crazy bastards out there that ride in sub-zero temps, but only when the roads are clean. I wouldn't do that, I don't even care to snowmobile...
I looked at the Soul, but I don't like it as much as the xB or Cube. How is the ride of the xB? Obviously it ain't no Caddy, but is it comfortable and quiet? I'm going to have to go out and test drive these things, methinks.
The ride in an xB is a lot less rough than a truck; a little less than a sports car with a tuned suspension; better than most subcompacts.
I must admit, it was disappointing to learn that a 'Minion of Satan' drives a '94 Tercel. Is that standard issue or has the economic swoon reached the seventh circle? That's like Pagan rolling up in a Geo Storm. I don't know what to believe anymore.
A minivan would be worse. And really True...how can you call yourself a "Minion of Satan" and pull up in a Scion or a Cube? Every time I see one of those I expect two pieces of toast to pop out of the roof.
I ain't pissing off Ghost Rider by stealing his ride. That thing is sick. There's a cool men's toy store off of Okeechobee blvd here in WPB that sells all kinds of funky rides, they have a crazy assed bike like that, atvs, jet skis, mini trucks, if you can get drunk and kill yourself on it, they have it.
Dude at Broward Motorsports, they had this bike on display... It is top to bottom SICK. This picture does it NO justice
That's the name of the store, might even be the same bike I saw, it's been a couple of months since I wandered in there.
might i recommend a used jetta tdi? i bought one for less than a new xb or cube, get better gas mileage, and its a nicer car. have leather, power everything, get 50 mpg, and the tdi's run forever.
Yeah, yeah... I bought that car in 1996, I wasn't even 20. Truth be told, I'm not much of a car guy. While I do my own work, everything from oil changes to replacing starters and alernators to replacing cv axles (my dad was a mechanic, some of it rubbed off on me), I just don't really care much about a car other than can it get me from point A to point B. I have decided to buy a Kia Soul. I was originally against it, but after getting behind the wheel, I liked it better than the Scion and the Cube. It just felt better. No bad *** muscle car for TDF, just reliable transportation that's easy on the gas. Don't worry, though. I'm still rotten to the core. There's a difference between LOOKING evil and BEING evil...
That is a sweet looking ride, for sure. But to me, that bad boy is screamin' $800 a month! I may be evil, but I'm not rich...
Ha ha...I hear ya TDF. Still, you gotta admit...it's pretty schweet! Knew I'd get a rise out of you Pagan. We all know your love for Mustangs. But hey...it's not like it's a ricer. It's American made! So, c'mon dude...can't we just get along? Ford, Chevy, Dodge...they've all produced some really cool muscle cars in recent years. Just too bad I can't afford one (much less the gas to put in 'em).
i know you didn't take my recommendation, but here's my car. under $20k, gets 50 mpg, and looks like this:
