we will have the answers by the end of the season
I expect to see the questions consistently asked for the remainder of 2009
not only Henne, but of every other player on the roster, especially the rookies
this is the time to experiment, develop & evaluate

Mid 80's early 90's Redskins is more the template I'm seeing.

"leading" Wr will have 60 catches or something...

"Maybe" Tuna had only taken 1 Cb in rd one and it was sort of not his idea, yet we took two in 09.

I think we need a do it all Te even before Wr.

Which I think is foolish because this league is designed to pass. Look at the top 6 rushing teams in the NFL in terms of yards per game along with their rank for points scored..

    1.) Jets #17 scoring
    2.) Titans #23 scoring
    3.) Panthers #23 scoring
    4.) Dolphins #14 scoring
    5.) Saints #1 scoring
    6.) Jaguars #21 scoring

The Saints are the clear outlier there but they are also 4th in passing yards which explains their ranking.

This is a passing league and passing leads to points. Miami needs to get with the times.

i agree.you have to have a balanced attack if you want to stay competitive in the league nowadays.take a look at most of the top teams..the saints can run or pass, the vikings can do both,dallas,philly..we have to be able to adjust to the different styles of teams we may play.while we may not need a moss,we do need a welker..steve smith type who can consistantly catch and more importantly get yac.

Certainly...eventually, we are two seasons removed from 1-15, the #9 overall pick Wr is not panning out and we have a rookie QB.

Pointing to Ryan or Flacco won't work because Ryan already had White and Jenkins, and Flacco had Mason and whomever.

Now what we do have is two Franchise type Running Backs and a good Oline, add those factors up and running the ball and avoiding mistakes just makes sense for the forseeable future.

Not to mention, the real problem hasn't been the Wr, it has been the sieve like Defense, we've scored 30+ and lost games because the D could not hold the lead.

Well Tuna had taken tons of DBs in early rounds before so I dont think it was that shocking.

I do expect us to get a WR a game or two again. What I brought up is to look at who they drafted in the past and whether we should anticipate a gamebreaker. With TE he has a shot if we go by his and Ireland's past. With WR there really isnt a track record of getting a great WR by either although there are some halfway decent blue collar lunch pail types of receivers

Let me ask this serious question; What would our record be if Peyton Manning played on this team or Tom Brady or even Drew Brees....?

Do you guys recall when we had Marino and it was always stated that we couldn't run the ball?

We had chance to grab Randy Moss when he became available, we had chance with Drew Brees (2X), we let Wes Welker go by trading him to the Patriots, now when have you ever heard of trading a player to make the other team better...?

Now to the original point of this post - Chad Henne needs to start believing in himself and start playing with confidence and the Dolphins need to spread things out and open up the Offense.

    It's that simple.....

    d-1
