just wondering if anyone heard anything about his injury? hopefully nothing too bad short week coming up
anyone have any kind of medical insight to give? It looked like a twisted ankle, which is certainly painful, but not something to derail an nfl player. Maybe i'm just hoping...
On the ESPN Fantasy football page he was said that they took X-rays but didn't say what the results were. He also was quoted as saying that he didn't think it was too bad (even though he was on crutches). Here is the link: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4657595
I'd be willing to bet that he doesn't play. At the least, it is an ankle sprain, which, will keep him out for this week and possibly the week after as well. Ricky is obviously an outstanding backup, but what does this do to the wildcat? I suppose Pat White takes over for Ronnie in that role and you can still have Ricky run the wildcat/jet sweep play.
Maybe we can just let Henne kick there a$$ by himself without Pat White or the wildcat. I think it could be good for him.
With Ronnie Brown being as frail and injury prone as he has been in the past we likely won't see him on the field for a while. Ronnie Brown can't run away from anyone. He had the 45 yard run that should have or would have been a TD for most backs, especially Ricky. RB is over rated.
unbelievable. he literally made 3 guys miss on that play. That play should have been a 4 yard gain, tops. He turned it into a 45 yarder, and your putting him down for it? hes also not frail or injury prone either. He tore his acl two years ago. hasn't missed a snap since.
there always has to be that post like this that provides entertainment for other logical fans of the team. kudos! it's well-appreciated.
Ronnie Brown is not overrated. Ronnie Brown made like 3 guys miss. He is a very versatile back. If we did not have Ronnie Brown we would not be able to run the wildcat as good as we do.
you are a joke. hes frail and injury prone? i love that. injury prone. he gets a thumb stuck in a facemask, he tears a acl trying to MAKE A TACKLE, then he sprains an ankle (complete normal football injury) and that makes him INJURY PRONE? or unlucky? smiley is injury prone, same injury, consitently, time after time....dan morgan....he was injury prone.....same injury over and over. go root for the vikings if you want a running back who runs a 4.2 40.....ronnie is a beast.
i just watched the 45 yard run again. Ronnie would have scored with ease if Chad Henne makes a block on the CB. he puts a shoulder on him but ultimately if Henne had just gotten in the CBs way, Ronnie woulda scored. Still, fantastic run tho.
Mine is naturally the unpopular opinion but Ronnie can't outrun anyone. He has proven this time and again. I never stated it wasn't a great run just RB doesn't have breakaway speed. Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
he most certainly does sir. He runs a 4.4. Hes broken many huge runs for us. Today he was simply cornered by a CB who had an angle. And theres only a handful of guys who can outrun a CB with an angle in this league. peterson, hester, and, heh...ginn...for example.
Yea I guess because he cant "out run anybody'' he is not good. Opinions are like butt holes everyone has one and a lot of them stink. He can run through anyone he wants [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQlPhDLNnYU"]YouTube- The Best Of Ronnie Brown[/ame]
Forty times don't always equate football speed. I don't care what he runs in a straight line out of pads. I'm more concerned about what happens on the field and Ronnie always gets caught from behind.
Ronnie said "I just don't like being on the sideline, but I just got tackled and kind of rolled my foot to the inside. We did some X-rays and I don't feel like it's too bad and hopefully everything works out. I felt it right away."
well maybe we can sign usain bolt in the off-season.......so he can "outrun" people.....sense that obviously makes a great running back.....
