The Miami Dolphins show some love to the websites that cover them once a year with what is called "web weekend" I am told, we are the only franchise that does such a thing. There were some 23 websites represented by three folks from each site. I cannot tell you adequately how special it was for me to be invited to this event by George(Muck) and Malcolm(Celtkin). As long as I live, I will not forget the wonderful weekend I was allowed to experience. You know, after you have thanked someone a hundred times in every way that you can think of, they prolly tire of it and it just becomes words. I promise all of you that my thanks and gratitude come from the deepest part of my soul and I wish I could express my thanks to both of them in a manner that could properly demonstrate this. Guys, this was a dream come true for me. Not only did the Miami Dolphins treat us like gold, but the 60 some participants were great folks and I enjoyed spending time with and getting to know them all.. sure wish the names would have stuck better.. they are a big blur, I hope George and Raul will help fill in the names I cannot, and I hope those I cannot remember will forgive my geezer memory. Here is the Friday night itinerary; Bokamper’s – 7-10 p.m. We reserved the outside terrace for our group. Dress code is casual, however tank tops and cutoff jeans/shorts are not allowed.We will have plenty of food available. Please note that the Dolphins will pay for all soft drink consumption, however you must pay for any alcohol you choose to order. Bokampers Sports Bar is located at 1280 S. Pine Island Road (SE corner of Peters & Pine Island Road). Their phone number is (954) 533-7152. Here is l-r George, me, and Raul.. Muck, cnc66, and The Rev Here is George, Steveo 90 from Phinzrage and Mike.. the Mor Here is who they were looking at; The Mor was smitten with the lil' cutie on the right, here he is looking for some help from the big Guy. Behind him is George and Steveo.. to the right is Papa pump. Someone will have to help with the guy in the black hoodie; Here is a group shot, l-r The Rev, Muck, Steveo, The Mor, and from Finheaven, a guy many will remember, Gonzo.. what a great guy.. flew in from Texas to attend. Heres a good shot of two guys that have some VERY interesting stories to tell about their conquests and failures. The Mor is on the left, and from Finheaven D-Day I want you to know that it has been fours years since I have seen The Mor and he has buffed up and he's looking great.. and Steveo gets it right.. Mike is a total blast to party with.. NEVER a dull moment. I was very glad he stopped in and I got to see him again. Too damned bad that Wharfrat dude whimped out and did not join us. He was watching Spongebob or something... well, thats about it for Bokampers, next post, Saturday morning at the Stadium
Thanks for sharing Marty! Looks like it was a blast. A few things to point out if I may. 1) Nice mustache! 2) Muck looks very similar to my sister's husband, which is kind of odd. 3) I need to move to South Beach to find those two ladies.
Blah blah blah woohooo blah blah blah. That's how I read those pictures. Just kidding! Great to see faces with the names. Looks like a grand ol time. But the girls are still hot.
Good post. Always a good time at Bo's. OT: talking about female talent, Saturday night for the Pacquiao-Cotto fight at Bo's....
Here is the Saturday morning itinerary; Tour Once you are at Gate G, you will be issued a credential (if you did not pick one up Friday night) for the tour. Because of the amount of walking, comfortable shoes and dress should be worn. Please be sure to bring a camera! The walking Stadium Tour will depart Gate G at 9:00 a.m. sharp. If you are running late, please contact either Scott Stone (954-829-7174) or RodneyWood (954-347-2261).Weather permitting, the stadium tour will consist of the following areas: • New Grand Plaza…courtyard, pavilion…etc • Walk the Orange Carpet • View Ocean Drive Club • Proceed through the tunnel and onto the field on the warning track…PLEASE KEEP OFF GRASS! • View the Dolphins Locker Room • View the Baseball Press box • Visit Scoreboard • Water wall/T.V. Screen • Ice Bar, concession stands, restaurants, escalators • Gallery of Legends We expect the tour to end at 11:30 a.m.We do not have any scheduled events between the end of the Stadium Tour and the Training Facility events. We loaded up on the bus and some of the lightweights who closed Bokampers were a little sleepy; Jeff.. D-Day His runnin' mate Gonzo; The lobby; The VIP lounge.. where all the "stars" come and hang out; Someone else was a little rough around the edges; Jimmy Cefalo our speaker in the VIP lounge. He's a very nice guy, had two of his children with him, and they were cute. He is a dynamic speaker and I enjoyed it a lot. He spoke at length about receivers and confidence. He was asked about our receiver corps and had a little slip of the tongue implying we needed new ones, and then quickly covered that gaff and went forward. still in the lounge, here are three Dolphin Bandits without the paint. l-r Jose center sitting, Manny to his right with closed eyes, and Shane on the right Next post will be the locker room.. Raul and I pointing out the obvious
Awesome post Marty. Thanks for sharing the pictures, it is always nice to be able to put names to faces.
alen,there names are jess and letal........letal is the smaller one and they live in the plantation area,not south beach.......but how would i know
Wow, great post/pics. Thank you. ...AND.........in the "Go Sperry" thread you stated you knew he was playing because you saw his jersey in the locker room saturday.I wondered what the hell you were talking about. Now,it all makes perfect sense. ......Me?? Jealous???.....Yep....
Wait, whats Muck doing outside of the Lake Worth Lagoon? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucVqx4Q3-iI&feature=player_embedded"]YouTube- "The elusive muck monster!"[/ame] Also, Marty that is a KICKASS moustache, Wilford "Diabeetus" Brimley would be proud.

Thanks Marty. I just knew you were a handsome man. All of you from here are very easy on the eyes. I would love to meet you guys. I'm so glad you had a good time. But, I am jealous too. I believe it when you say it was the thrill of a life time.
Deb.. get your glasses fixed Darlin' Okay.. inside the stadium locker room; The logo; l-r Barb from Phinzmania, Raul, George doing the "claw", and I think the back of Manny's head. from Dolphins Bandits George Pat Whites trick helmet, notice the mike in the ear; sparkles.. this season is the first time I noticed these sparkles.. the Indy game I think it was; RGF, this one's for you bro. This is what we saw that told us we had a new player on Sunday, notice no nametag .. I think it was George the noticed first; some rules posted on the wall; http://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c47/cnc66/camera stuff/MuamuDolphinswebweekendnov141520-89.jpg schedule; Coach Sparano's desk.. He was asked what the pliers were for and he responded "how do you know about those?" well, he said his wifey gave him some Rosary beads that he carries game day in his pocket and that they were worn and trying to come apart. He said he was superstitious and that if "they" fell apart, he was afraid the team would too.. so he fixes the links before the game just to be safe.. that is chewing tobacco below the big red; Next, we headed to the field.. here's Big Papa Pump.. I want you to know that he is a really nice guy.. and seriously funny. Looking "out" the tunnel.. this isn't exactly what the players see before the game because they have the big blowup tunnel thing they come out of that wasn't yet inflated
Great stuff, Marty. I'll post some of mine later. Thanks to Muck and Celt for the invite. It is exactly what I needed. I'm calling dibs for next year!!
To late.. I offered them my firstborn.. I know you love Victor to much to match that! It was great spending time with you again Raul.
The field; sideline cushions; D-Day and Gonzo getting interviewed The grass... it is beautiful in person, very soft. Tasted slightly bitter, not as sweet as St. Augustine; Next, we went back into the stadium to the press room..their view; another; next was the media room.. we had some great conversation with one of the guys. He said when WE need a review they show the play repeatedly so the coach on the field can see.. when it is the other team, they show the crowd. The is the entry.. see the big window to the right.. it goes from clear to frosted opaque in an instant with the push of a button. He said when someone knocks on the glass to get their attention, they frost it so the knocker thinks he broke the window; I have a number of pictures of this room but don't want to bore you.. this is the stadium server room.. George took the time to explain some of it to me.. cool stuff; control board; another;
Once I realized that Barbs camera was about 1000 times better than mine I just took a few pictures and got to enjoy everything else....
One last shot from the media room.. for some perspective; closer for clarity; Next, we went into the Club Level where they have all sorts of memorabilia and perks.. Here is the case for the U Raul and Steveo are your hosts. I saved this one from the field.. I thought it appropriate here given our loss to Butch's boys. TheRev soaking it all in.. ...words fail me to express the wonder and excitment I was experiencing while this was happening. I was on the "inside" seeing things I otherwise would never have experienced. The only similar thing for me was during my first rehearsals for Jesus Christ Superstar.. I was INSIDE the music Club Club Club windows and view. It was a very interesting window set and view. My pictures do not do the overall "feeling" justice. Muck and D-Day are center and the cold bar is on the left. There are display cases all along the Club Level like the one behind Raul and Steve above, it would take more time than we had to really see it all. Sadly, the backlighting seriously hurt everyone's ability to get good shots of the contents. None of my shots were very good, these are important enough to post anyway. What we want more of; This one is important for several reasons. For me, I met Tom Nomina who's jersey this is while I was wearing the same number at a practice where they let us on the field with the players. Tom was nice to the big eyed 12 year old Marty.. that story for another day perhaps.. ..and the other reason is this is the jersey of PhinNomina's Uncle/Cousin Tom.. for you brother.. dig on that color too;
Was nice meeting everyone this weekend. Plane landed, going home and there was snow on the ground Had a great time with everyone from ThePhins - Hopefully I will have some pictures up later today. Madre is trying to get caught up and then she will go through the 1000+ she took over the weekend.
It really was, ya'll are good company, I enjoyed getting to know you. Please give my regards to Barb.
Wow...that looks like it was a lot of fun Marty. Thanks for sharing. Looking at all the pics is almost like being there. Well, not quite. But, still very cool. Thanks again for sharing!
Advertising on the cold bar you saw above Still on the Club Level, we went into the Gallery of Legends. I was so busy gawking I didn't take nearly enough pictures. Tall Michelle accessorizing with Danny. She is a living doll. Bright, bubbly, friendly and kind to all around her, she made a friend of me this weekend. Aside from all the other things she is busy with, she has taken on a partner to provide a place for recovery and counselling for casualties of the modelling trade. We discussed what the seeds of hope and self worth may grow into, Michelle gets it, I wish her luck and success; Papa accessorizing Danny too, that's Tino from Two Michelles behind Papa; The rings of power The name of our stadium For Debbie, Shula's desk again. Larry Little; Joe Auer
