I agree, and with a run heavy team, its likely he will get hurt more than a heavy pass team... Ronnie did it all for us, he ran the ball, played QB and was our best WR. Next year this injury wont bother him.

I also think you have to think that Brown is one of few players in the NFL right now that changed the way the game has been played, ie the Wild Cat. Without him being so successful, and the most successful player in NFL history at the wildcat, it would not even exist! And he is arguably the most entertaining player in the NFL this year

I hate to say it because I love Ronnie, but we need a featured back who can last an entire season.

    Sick of this **** now.

    Bummer:cry:

I was hoping he would only be out for one game.

Time for the other guys to step up and show the fans what they can do.

Ronnie and Cobbs both is a hard blow! But there are a few other players on the team. We will be looking for the next chemistry to stand out.So many young players surely they can figure out something for us.

Is it Marv levi on that commercial
    PLAY OFFS,,,PLAY OFFS,,,DID SOMEONE SAY PLAY OFFS?:tantrum:

I don't see us in playoffs but we are still kicking. This might end up best for the team they find a way without Ronnie. Get the plays in now, when he comes back we might not be so one deminsional.

I believe when we drafted him there was some talk of not knowing what his durability was going to be. Blowing out a knee and someone stepping on your foot could happen to anyone. So I personally give him the benefit of the doubt......

If it's true that Ronnie has been put on IR ending his season, I think it's safe to say he did more than twist his ankle.

He revolutionized the game, he is one of the greatest running backs in the game and you say he can out run anybody. Did it ever cross you freakin mind he is not a speed back. He is a balanced back. He is fast and he can run over people. You have no points what so ever. He is injury prone that is all you have to say all the freakin time. Fred Taylor is easily on of the greatest backs and he was injury prone. Jerome Bettis is not a fast back and he is another great back. He is probably going to the hall of fame.

    Really sad!!
Dangit, at least we swept the Jests prior to this.
Going .500 for the season is probably only a dream at this juncture :pity:

Wow, the man who we all thought was the best thing Saban did for us, gets hurt (and not to his own fault like dropping back for a pass and blow an achilles{Marino}) and you guys are quick to throw him under the bus. Damn. Were you guys saying the same about Marino every time he got hurt when somebody farted next to him. Come on. The guy plays the most physical position in the game, guess what HE IS GONNA' GET HURT!!!:pity:

We had one of the best Duo's in the NFL in Brown and Williams now we lose that for Williams and Hilliard?

It will be smash mouth football now and I still believe in the OL and their ability to blow defenders off the ball in the running game.

    Hilliard is a tough runner.

    It is what it is.

Ricky is the better runner out of a normal offense, Ricky will likely out produce Ronnie and we will be fine in that area

Why? He is washed up, or played like he is.

Fellas, the key to the dolphins is not Ronnie B, it is the Oline, if anything I expect them to begin overachieving.

Sorry Andrew, Ronnie is our best player and the guy who drove this offense even when we had the worst OL in football. I think he actually made our OL look better than it actually is.

We weren't a SB contender anyway. If there is a silver lining in this injury it's that it will allow us to move up a few spots in the draft. You never want to play for draft position, but in this case we don't have a choice, the decision was made for us.

You may be right. Losing Ronnie very well may slide us up the draft board a bit. But I don't think these players will give up. Season isn't over yet.

I don't either brother, but this injury will benefit us in the long run. It might put us in position to pick up a guy like Brandon Spikes.

Ronnie already cleared up his contract situation, he isn't going to be a FA this coming offseason.

I don't think they'll give up, or more realistically, I don't think this coaching staff is going to let them give up. But we just don't have the talent or the depth to overcome this injury, I think we'll be lucky to finish as a .500 team.

Unless the CBA gets fixed.... Then he would be a FA, and I think Jonathan Dwyer out of GT is far more likely than Spiller....

You're probably right. As long as they continue to play every team tough and keep the games close .500 football will still be fun to watch.

I might be guilty of being a little overly optimistic, but this team isn't like the 2007 team that was poorly coached and had no guts. This team will at least try to [Dick Vermeil] Rally around Ricky Williams [/Dick Vermeil] much like they did Chad Henne after Pennington went down.

But that effort probably won't be good enough for the playoffs in the end. But we can still hope.

I guess we'll now get to see if Lex Hilliard is as good as he appeared to be in the pre-season.

Really you honestly think so? Ricky was more of the burst guy and Ronnie was more of the bruising role. I seriously doubt Hilliard can fill that void. You're going to find out how valuable Brown is to this team.

think we're too worked up about the loss of Ronnie. It certainly hurts but its not a season killer of itself. We have the players to overcome a Ronnie injury. Will we, I dont know yet but we'll see how we respond tomorrow. Personally I hope we start passing more and live or die through the air. I'm not so concerned about winning as I am in accelerating Henne's learning curve. Lets also figure out which receivers stay or go. Pat Turner, Brian Hartline, Ted Ginn, Devonne Bess...lets start winging it to them. Also lets see Hilliard, Sheets and Sperry some more. Who knows maybe this makes us more balanced and therefore better. Probably not but you never how a team responds or how a team reacts to new circumstances

Cant look past a guy with his size particularly with this FO, 6'1 235 and expected to tun in the 4.4's he is a key part of GT's Triple Option offense... I love the guy but if Brown is under contract there is no way he is the pick... Wonder about his hands as I think he has caught 10 passes in his career...
