I have said this on our boards, I think Ginn could be utilized in the motion man spot that Ricky played... Ginn to me is a bit of a long strider and with teh motion he could be able to get up to full speed pretty quickly, and hopefully get his confidence going, let him take some hits realize that its not so bad and see if he can build on that.

I agree, I've been frustrated by the lack of use of Ginn in the WC. I think he may even be able to play a Percy Harvin type of role, moving around pre-snap and then running the counter.

    Maybe now they'll try it

I look for Ricky to take some direct snaps here and there to keep the wildcat alive in spirit but Ginn as the motion man is a bad idea bro. He will get killed at the corner or run out of bounds at the LOS.

Yeah, I'm not implying that everyone who suffers that particular injury is done, but it's one of the tougher injuries to recover from. :wink2:

I think Browns injury also means you will see more of the pistol with Pat White

Nonsense, this idea that Ginn runs out of bounds because he's scared to get hit is silly.

It's not silly. We get the ball to Ted Ginn in space and he ducks out and tries to avoid contact.

NFL defenses would swallow him up in the Wildcat.

Not necessarily, if we scheme it right I think that it can be very effective.... Put Haynos next to teh RT with Polite in his back pocket.... Bring Ginn around and pull Thomas, now you have three extra blockers outside the RT and they should be able to seal it off at least for a small period of time... Now Ginn would have the sideline with likely a the safeties to beat.... After the first time we run it I think the second time they will over compensate for Ginns speed and open them up for a weakside counter with Ricky

 have you seen him? He either hits the ground quick or if he is near the sideline he wont try to pick up a few extra yards if it means getting hit.

I did like him trying to make that tip toe catch against Tampa.

Drawing plays in the dirt is always fun but if Henning had something like that I'm sure he would have already showed it to us at this point

Guys you put Ginn back there and he will get pounded. The defense will read it a mile away. Ted getting the ball at the point of attack is scary.

Any thoughts on Korey Sheets and how he will be involved?

I have, and on returns he does what any returnman does by trying to avoid the rush of tacklers storming down the middle of the field. Watch any returnman and the majority of their returns are funneled to the edge. On offense, we're still playing Pennyball in the sense that we aren't throwing the ball over the middle with any regularity, most of our routes lead our receivers to the sidelines. Not just with Ginn, but with all of them.

Going by that logic, lets cut Ricky.

X-rays were negative so its not a fracture.

Agree but on the kickoff the return man gets a running start. Vision comes into play and it gives time to evaluate coverage.

A defense will stack the box and Ted will have to make a decision quickly.

He drops balls that should be caught in his route. Giving him the ball in the belly of the beast is a bad idea.

Again not necessarily, at Web Weekend we asked Sporano about Pat Whies role and the Wildcat. He said that they may try something but if they arent positive they can execute it 100% they backburner it... He said there were alot of plays on the backburner

Ricky's been terrific for us this year but he never looks anything like as good as Ronnie when he is running the Wildcat. Not sure how much Pat White we will see on Thursday night, but I don't think we will see much Wildcat.
