watched ice age 3 this weekend and meh..it had it's moments and i liked the new characters introduced but i really can't stand queen nolaughstifah in that role and think she has ruined that franchise.

also watched kingdom of warriors which was a really good chineese war movie that didn't involve hidden tiger type gadgets.basicly a army is heading to a battleground and it has to go through a small village that it would probly destroy for sh@ts n giggles.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good too. They took a different approach with the remake, ending included.

More cheese than a pizza buffet, but outstanding special effects and lots of loud noises.

I saw it as well, on Friday, and I agree. A special thumbs up: the best stuff is not necessarily in the trailers.

Up - It was good, but I didn't find it as great as I heard everyone saying. I also didn't find what was so sad in the beginning that would make someone cry.

She lived a full life though. My sentiments were even confirmed towards the end that there wasn't much to be heartbroken over since she went on a great adventure anyway.

Land of The Lost - I know most hated it, but I'm sorry, Will Ferrell and Danny McBride are funny guys. Even if the movie wasn't great, they are.

Went to see [IMG] today. I thought it was a better sequel than the one for the original Halloween.
I wasn't too big on the 'White Horse' thing, where Michael Myer's mom and him as a kid follow him around the whole movie. And I wish they would have left Danielle Harris alive long enough to expose some boobage!
Pretty cool soundtrack too. Motorhead, old Rod Stewart, Foghat, Nan Vernon. If you liked the first one by Zombie, I'd say this one's worth a look on DVD.

Great Soundtrack! But yeah the movie was kind of funky and out there, I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first Zombie outing.

Went to see [IMG] WOW. What an awesome movie. Shows the last 30 days of an Army EOD's (bomb squad) tour in Baghdad. Lot's of 'what's going to happen next?' going on. It had a very limited release being an independent film, but it's gotten great reception. Special thanks to Michael Bay for not getting involved.

If you like intense war movies, go see this film! 2 BIG

I also saw it and read the book a few months back. Great movie, they just screwed up his school. He went to Briarcrest High, not Wingate like it was in the movie IIRC. The Tuohy's are great people though.

Btw, Sandra Bullock looked so damn good in the movie!

Saw "Paranormal Activity" and "The Men Who Stare at Goats."

"Paranormal Activity" was quite entertaining. Hit all the right notes for a thriller. Good blend of slow creeps and jolts. And a nice payoff at the end.

"The Men Who Stare at Goats" was good, with a couple of LOL moments, but I left feeling I might have been better served renting it.

Special effects are crazy good. That's the only reason to see this movie... There comes a point where it's like "OK, we can end this **** anytime now" though... Excitement of the actions scenes gets a little boring when John Cusack becomes the road runner and every disaster is the like Wile E. Coyote ****ing up his chance to kill him.

Watched [IMG] last night on IFC. Pretty cool biopic about the original pin-up goddess. Shot almost entirely in black & white, which gives it more of a classic feel since it takes place in the 40's & 50's. Worth a look on DVD.

Went to see [IMG] today. Interesting concept, but the movie just didn't hold my attention long enough to get into it.
Also, it seems like in about the last ten Bruce Willis movies I've seen, his character's are all about the same. A guy with a bad past, via a screw up on the job, or a death/divorce in the family, making him a washed up guy that nobody cares about or wants to work with. Until he saves the day in the movie.
