Henne had a rough game, but he has had more solid outings then poor preformances. Fact of the matter is he has no targets to help him out, and the pass blocking has not been up to the level that the o-line should considering the amount of cash they get. Henne is going to be a good QB soon, just need to give him some time, and put some playmakers around him.

He really didn't though. If you look at his numbers prior to the epic 4th quarter collapse, he had a nice stat line goin, and was making good decisions. The incompletions and the "INT's" didnt start piling up until the 4th when we were trying to force the issues on offense with our inept WR's

yeah he's playing well for a rookie but not for a vet. the reality is he isnt hitting receivers in stride. he's getting it to them but they cant do anything afterwards

In the offseason he has to improve his accuracy a touch. We will need to get him better weapons but it will be a waste if he continues to throw passes that receivers have to stop or slow down for.

Also you cant just dismiss the 4th qtr. I'm fine with it, just as I'm fine with the occasional cornerback meltdowns we have every game. It's the price you pay for playing the rooks. We took one step back this year to take two steps forward next.

You get rid of Henne when he has the proper tools in place and then he performs badly..consistantly.

He was trying to make plays... he under throws a reciever who didnt bother to look back but the DB did... getting smashed while throwing.... dropped balls

Look at the passes the bills completed, recievers with a lot of seperation... I think I saw Henne throw to a wide open rec 3 times the whole game and it was underneath stuff, our recievers struggle to get open.

Alright, I'm home. I won't address those of you complaining about my spelling and grammar while having to type out posts on a mobile device further. I consider having to resort to criticizing typos to concede the argument.

Now, on to my main point. The rounds of calling for Henning's firing sounds an awful lot like the Jet's boards. The first int on a crappy call for Ricky to throw? Sure, I'll put that on Henning. The 2nd int on Henne? Meh, stuff happens. The final two turnovers were completely on Henne with horrible passes, and any attempt to blame Henning for those smacks soundly of the Jets ******s blaming Schottenheimer for the 5 turnovers that Sanchez had against the Pats. When it comes down to executing plays you have to execute plays and Henne did not do that today. He just flat out didn't do it. You want to blame everyone else on the planet save Henne? It's certainly your prerogative to do so. But, when you do so you're ignoring the mistakes that were made on the offensive side of the ball to give the Buffalo offense so many tries to win the game - which they did, thank you very much Chad Henne. If you're going to dismiss this post as a knee jerk response to a bad game, youre going to have to do so on more than a pat "oh, its the OC or oh, it's the defense or oh, it's Ted Ginn, yet again" post.

no one really cares whose fault the INT's were, to say it's time to move on from Henne after this is STUPID. he's young and clearly has all the tools to be a great player in the NFL.

Pat White didn't turn the ball over, nor did he disrupt any sort of "rythym" as has been proved conclusively again and again on these boards.

I don't see how anybody whose watched the games would believe Hartline is the weak link at WR.

    Ginn will be replaced.

Two of the INT's came off of tipped balls, how is that Henne's fault?

You ask for posters to come with better than "oh it is someone else's fault" repsones, but in reality what have you offered that say interceptions off of tipped balls are a quarterback's fault? So he gets hit on one play, that causes the ball to easily be 10 yards shorter than it should have been, and it is Henne's fault for what exactly? Not having he core strength to muscle the ball out , or not throwing it sooner?

And on the tipped passes, what should Henne do? Double clutch when the defender jumps after he has thrown/released the ball? I would like to know what Henne can do to actually alter any of these situations? The tipped passes is the one I really want to know about.

How is it Henne's fault two of those INT'd passes were tipped? How is it his fault that he was hit as he threw leading to another bad pass?

Why havent you adressed my points?

I don't that was what he meant. He just said he didn't like the call, nor did I in terms of poitn of the game and play call. If we are going to run it, just run it, and leave it at that. We aren't keeping White out there after wards, so what does it do but simply have a 2 yard run - anyone could have done that.

So Henne is supposed to make the precision rocket throw when he's getting hit in his throwing arm..right...got it.. Henne is far from the reason we lost this game and he has shown potential that he can be a very good QB. If we actually had threats at WR he will reach that potential.

Not to be sarcastic or disrespectful, but the very idea falls over on itself.

I think a lot of people don't even want to put forth the energy because the notion is utterly ridiculous.

He had a bad game and so did a lot of people today.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think emo is being sarcastic here and saying for all the "fire this guy" or "cut that guy" threads if you guys are going to be consistent you should be looking to bench or cut henne who had a bad day. he's basically mocking the reactionary nature of these boards. could be wrong though lol

    Are you serious, yet again...

The first INT he was hit as he threw, causing an errant pass.
The second INT was deflected at the line...
The third INT was also deflected...

how on earth can you blame the QB. I cant believe this hasnt been locked yet. Go watch the game. Maybe then your comments may make sense.

so glad I waited for you to get home to a keyboard...

I'm not saying Henne will be traded or cut in the offseason, but he has not impressed me very much this year. Maybe I am just spoiled from watching Dan Marino all those seasons. I don't want a top 20 NFL QB, I want a top 5 NFL QB, and I do not think we should settle for less. Henne needs A LOT of improvement, imo.

I've already conceded the first Henne turrnover as a "meh, stuff happens" kind of event. But the 2nd and 3rd Henne turnovers were both badly thrown balls. The underthrown pass to Hartline and the pass behind Bess were complete on Henne.

You have a point. Ross should fire Parcells right now and hire you. I'd email him your resume and opinions right now! Use every draft pick and free agent on QBs that way after one bad game, we can cut him and replace him.

If that was the point then I'm alright with that as well. I didn't exactly like the play call, but I don't think in any way that was the straw that broke the camels back after all of those turnovers.

After beeing disappointed after the loss the thread starter brought a little smile back in my face...it´s quite amusing.

IIRC a QB named Marino had some 3 or 4 pick games during his career. I am pretty sure you stood right in front of JRS gates to chase him out of town...
In my opinion Henne is doing a great job so far if you look at the supporting cast he has. It´s a shame that Ginn is...well...just Ginn...and not the number one receiver we were hoping for. Bess is solid, Hartline a rookie who is coming along slowly. Camarillo was very quiet today and Turner hasn´t been seen all season.
One good thing from today: Fasano seems to be back on track.

I already said that as far as the first Henne INT was concerned, I wasn't going to hold that as the end all and be all as far as the game went. The two consecutive bad turnovers at the end of the game were what I was speaking to, and those were bad throws through and through. There's no defending bad throws behind receivers that turn into turnovers that turn into blowout losses to the worst team in the division unless you're Rex Ryan, in which case we won and this post exists only in your imagination.

Behind Bess? It was tipped at the line, the velocity and rotation of the ball chnaged. How is that on Henne?

And when someone was dragging him by his shoulder, that was his fault too?

Again though, what could he do to stop them?
