It was before the implosion. We had a chance to win the game on the drive when they put White in.
    You watch the game?

I am glad he held a close game once it was up to him throwing it up for a chance atleast he gave it a chance.

If he was worried about just Henne stats he would've just threw it away. The game was lost already by bad play calls in my opinion.

Henne has ALL the tools to be a top ten QB and that will be good enough to get the job done meaning the Super Bowl, Big Ben and Eli are proof enough of that.

I'm sorry Con, I'm watching the highlights again on the NFL site and I don't see the tip at all. That ball was just thrown behind to Whitner.

Yeah, well most NFL QB's have the tools, that's why they are pros. I need to see more, I hope you are right.

It's gonna be a bumpy ride for a while folks. He's gonna make mistakes. He's young, and he's still learning to play at the pro level. But, you gotta give the the kid a chance. I still think he's got a bright future.

    JMHO...

Not really, not everybody has a cannon and those who do might not have the accuracy that Henne has shown us, I think you are taking for granted what Henne brings to the football field, it can be something very special, problem is the lack of talent we have at WR and TE makes it hard for it to flourish.

some of the passes Henne makes, we haven't seen since Marino. once he gets more experience and players around him, he'll be one of the best QB's in the NFL. anyone who can't see that doesn't know much about how quarterbacking works.

I'd bet every one of the haters will be saying how they loved him since he took the field once he does get better WRs.

OK, now we're getting somewhere. You now admit that Henne was hit on the pass to Hartline that Florence intercepted. Before that was all on Henne, according to you.

I just watched the highlights on NFL.com and it's impossible to tell whether the INT to Whitner (at 1:37 with us down by 10) was tipped or not. Someone with the game on tape can weigh in on that.

The official statlines say that the passes were tipped - but I can't confirm that by looking at the tape and I don't remember anyone saying the passes were tipped prior to that during the game.

Henne will be fine once he gets some real recievers. He has to force the ball more than he wants too because of the lack of talent. I think the kid is fine. Lets see what the FO does in the offseason. Im sure Parcells is going to light someones *** up.

I'd say two unforced turnovers to lose a game to the worst team in the division to end the season pretty much means you need to keep working to find someone better than middle of the road.

Lets pickup Sanchez, didn't the Jets cut him after his 5 Int game. It was obvious to them they had to keep looking for another QB.
You have to just accept the fact that all QBs have bad games at times and if you give up on them everytime they have a bad game we will never have a QB.

Sanchez is a horrible QB. He's had multiple bad games. He had a horrible game when his teams playoff hopes were on the line, just as Henne did today. I didn't see Peyton Manning fold today, hell, I even saw Chris Redman pull out a win today. I did see the Dolphins give their season away to one of the worst teams in the NFL today.

nope! sorry, not a good reason. he's a young quarterback and that's what they do.

oh, and the turnovers weren't even his fault. again, sorry to crap on your thread, but you're completely 100% wrong and look foolish. please accept my apologies!

OK, maybe we're not getting anywhere. Henne was hit on the INT that was supposed to go to Hartline and was intercepted by Florence. The hit affected the throw. True or false?

Emo, I agree with Muck.. had I seen this thread early, it would have been removed. A very poor quality premise.. with nothing to support it. At least you didn't move him to right tackle and dress him up in a skirt for a fairy award.. one star from me brother, this one is awful. Calling a rookie a bust after his first bad game...

It's not his first bad game Marty - but it was his most important. I didn't even call him a bust, I just said he's not it. I've also made a lot of posts to support my premise, but the best I've gotten in return is "oh emm gee horrible thread one star". I honestly almost wish I hadn't bothered to post, because it's not worth it all things considered.

Dude, this is the first time he's had turnover issues.

He's young and developing in a hamstrung offense with a shortage of talent and some really questionable game planning/playcalling at times.

I don't put any of the blame on the kid at QB.

Having said that, I don't have a problem with us looking for values at QB in later rounds next year and every year. Position is too valuable to just assume you have a star until he becomes one.

sure you did.. getting rid of him implies bust. You've brought nothing to the table that counters the fact that he's essentially playing his rookie year behind center. Many.. hell most qb's have horrible first couple of years.. your kneejerk evaluation that he sucks simply holds no water. Two seasons from now if he's playing like he did today, then I'll be concerned.

However, that being said, you still fail to acknowledge the fact that the 3 INTs were not based on poor decisions by the QB. The first, he was having his arm hit as he threw, the second was tipped at the line that changed the speed and direction of the throw, and the third was deflected at the line as well.

    Unbelievable...

You did call him a bust dude.

Your thread title is "Bye Henne" which insinuates he should be gone no?
In addition your post says " You gave it your best shot kid, the search continues" Clearly insinuating that the book is closed on him and he's clearly not starter material.

If you're going to say it at least stand behind it.
