    Is it Wide Receiver?

    Is it Linebacker?

Is it RB to stay the aging duo?

We're progressing nicely in year two of a complete overhaul, but this offseason is key. What is the biggest need? How would you like to see it rectified?

I'm of the opinion we should target LBs through the draft and target FA Recievers like Vincent Jackson.

MLB and WR. Not WRs like Hartline and Turner either. Not a knock on Hartline, because he is contributing nicely, nobody knows anything about Turner, but he cant be good if he cant crack the starting lineup. We need a big play guy, and a consistent WR, that said, we also desperately need a MLB as well.

the most dire need is at wide receiver. Our offense, especially without brown and the wildcat, is proving it's just all around unspectacular and predictable and part of that is because we can't trust or depend on our wrs to do anything useful.

We used the wildcat as a source for big plays because our base offense can't produce them on their own. Without that crutch, we get performances like today. I look at a team like the broncos. There offense is not great, but Brandon Marshall sure is. They call plays and just hope he bails them out and a lot of the times he does. Now getting a guy of that caliber is not likely, in fact its probably impossible, but we certainly have to try for one if such an opportunity arises.

OK, I totally agree ith everyone that is saying that we need to upgrade the MLB position. No doubt about that.... However, I think we are very close to having a dominating type of offense IF we add a couple of players.

IF I am the GM I go out and sign Owen Daniels in FA (if there is one). I believe the Texans are not going to be able to keep all three of their big FA's and they drafted a TE this past season. We need a receiver that can exploit the middle of the field. We do not have that right now.

I think we are going to be picking somewhere in the 8 to 13 range. With our first round pick I would take Dez Bryant.

I would address the LB and NT positions with the rest of the draft. The only offensive player I would take later in the draft is Mike Williams if he is there in the 4th. I know that is probably not going to happen because he is a huge talent BUT maybe his off the field problems will keep teams from taking a chance on him earlier then that.

    ILB short term
OLB long term (meaning two years lol)

there is simply no way our biggest need is on the 11th ranked offense and not on the 27th ranked defense

I'd probably add TE to the list slightly above interior O-Line, personally. Otherwise, I completely agree. WR, LBs, followed by NT and S.

I think I want us to build one dominating unit then focus on the other one... instead of having two middle of the road units....

that is today and I reserve the right to change my mind at a moments notice.

Were trying to play a tough physical brand of football with some lollipops at linebacker..the middle of our defense is baby's *** soft...it needs an identity.. crowder and adell are all wrong.....If rolondo mcclain is close to us, then make a move to get him..go after receiver thru free agency to stay away from youth at the position....and try to get one of the available free agent linebackers...demeco, dqwell..

he doesnt wanna be in Denver. he wont sign a contract. However, He will, without a doubt, get franchised.

But if Denver is willing to trade him for a 1st and a 2nd, i think we should consider it. (i know, crazy talk. and i hate it when others talk about trading picks) But I think hes that damn good. People think Kyle Ortons an alright QB, and he isn't, he just knows to throw to #15. I can't even recall how many plays Marshalls made on bad passes and then turned them into tds. and he doesn't even wanna be there..

pencil him in right now as a San Fransisco 49er. the panthers traded their 1st this year to the niners in last years draft. and the panthers are going to be a top 5 pick.

Eric Berry is gonna be on the same defense as Patrick Willis. Arg.

probably not. But the rams will take the best guy at QB. and since a lot of people dont see tebow as a pro qb and the oklahoma guy is already injury prone, there isnt much past colt mccoy right now. The browns, raiders, niners, and redskins could all arguably take a qb, but i don't think there are any worth taking that high except mccoy. and he might be a stretch too.

Geuss it depends on your opinion on guys like Jake Locker and Jimmy Clauson.

Guys, we have to get a WR for Henne!! Now I dont care if it come from FA, or if it comes from the draft, but we have got to get somebody that can get open. I really wish that the Phins would have brought somebody in this year like a Marvin Harrison, just to be a person that runs good routes and gets open.

Channing Crowder continues to prove that he doesn't belong on this team. The guy makes ZERO plays consistently. I'm done with him. They need to see what they can get for him and move on. Draft someone who can actually make ONE OR TWO big plays in 4 seasons.

We need A wide receiver desperately. Note to the FO, quit BS'ing us with draftin WR in the 4th round. Use the 1st rounder on a dominant WR so we can take our offense to the next level. We can get great quality LB's in the 2nd and 3rd rounds. Our team will never take over the division til we get a WR that can stretch the field.

Al Davis avoided drafting a QB in the first round for 40 years, only to break that streak with JaMarcus Russell.

he won't make that mistake again.

We got 5 receiving TDs from our WRs last year. That would rank our entire WR core 29th among individual WRs. We were be tied for last with Cleveland last year in TD receptions from our WRs.

This year our passing offense is ranked 29th in yards, tied for last in YPA and tied for second to last in WR receiving TDs.

So our offense may be 11th but our passing is one of the worst in the league.

In fact they are ranked way below our defense, which was ranked 19th overall and 23rd against the pass.

This is according to NFL.com prior to today's game.

Spikes appears to be a Crowder clone. I have seen them move him around in three different positions. That tells me that his athletism and freakish size is making him stand out in college. Which is something that will not happen in the NFL where they are all freaks of nature. I want a kid making plays because he is smart and so good at the position they don't dare move him.

Don't ask me who that person may be. :tongue2:

Gotta go MLB, NT, or FS, IMO.

Get rid of Bell or Wilson, we don't need two starting caliber SS.

WR is a need, but defense is awful right now. I think I would try to address WR via free agency. Maybe we can't get Marshall or anyone like that, but Antonio Bryant or Chris Chambers could help us for one or two years.
