I cant go against the Gators againt Alabama.I dont like the Gators but I despise Saban, and before you say it Pete no I wont get over it. You get over me not getting over it, pal. All the trash I have talked about Tebow, its hard to deny what he has done, and frankly if you cant beat them...so if the Noles cant win, I would rather the Gators win over the Tide.
The less of two evils my friend....lol. Plus its hard to hate Tebow...he's the college version of Manning. Not in the sense that he's as good a QB, but he's such a presence. Tebow could go down as one of the greatest college players of all time, another championship solidify's it IMO.
Agreed. Tebow > Saban any day. I'll be rooting for FL too. It would be neat to see a UF/TCU national championship.
Do you really think Florida is any worse of a team if you take Tebow away and insert another top QB? For arguements sake why not Colt McCoy. Think before you answer.
There whole philosophy changes....Mccoy is a much better passer but that offense calls for more of an athlete than a dropback QB. And please spare me any "he just rushed for x amount of yds" routine we all know he is not an option QB.
I'll be rooting for Alabama. I dislike the Gators and I'm a pretty big, actually very big, Nick Saban fan.
The Tebow hater and the Saban lover. We're about to become the two most unpopular people in this thread
For arguments sake, you could put Colt McCoy on the gators and I would doubt they would be too much (if any) worse for the wear. However, that in itself assumes Colt McCoy is not one of the greatest ever as well, which (again) many could argue that he is. While I am not personally a big fan of Tebow (it is not because I dislike Tebow the player either), one does have to evaluate the 4 years of production and where it came from. Could someone have performed equally as good (not necessarily stats, but strictly wins)? It's certainly plausible IMO. However, things are not evaluated in the annuls of history based on what ifs. What if Maurice Clarrett wasn't a d-bag for example, could he have been the best OSU back ever? Possibly. I consider Tebow one of the best college QBs ever, just like I think Dan LeFevour is one of the best MAC QBs ever. I cannot say for certain that Dan could've led Florida like Tebow did, though I believe it to be plausible. Things must be evaluated for what they are, and Tebow is one of the best ever (just like Gerhart is the best player in the country this year). I would not say he is the best ever, but it is near impossible to deny that he isn't up there.
I too love the Saban way, he is a genuis..... To answer Alex's question...I have no idea because Floridas entire offensive philosophy would change, not sure if they would be winning national titles but they absolutely would be in the thick of things in the SEC. Ill be rooting for Saban and against Urban Meyer.
Well the premise of the "Liar Liar" movie was that he couldn't tell a lie anymore after his son's birthday wish, doesn't that mean Saban is now telling the truth? So either someone screwed up the poster, or they horribly miscast him in the role.
or they just wanted someone for the first time ever to actually judge a book by its cover.........the title (not the premise of the movie) is the only thing that matches
That's fair enough. When I think of top QB's however I'm thinking an extremely elite class of players. How high up would you sayu "top" is?
Well you need to become a big fan of Charlie Strong if you like defense. I know its not defense but Meyer's special teams is truly special. Those guys are amazing and it shows up almost every week.
Tebow is one of the greatest QB's or players of all time. Brantley is an amazing QB but he could not run the same Florida offense that we run this year. McCoy might be able to run the option but I think he would do great.
You also said that you would also be one of his biggest fans too. He does an amazing job. You can still dislike the Gators and like Strong's defense
Yet in a qoute U said if u coach defense like Saban i am one of ur biggest fans. U should have said that and can't be a gator
Sorry, I left out a few words. I'll say it now so it's clear and out there. If you coach like Saban and are not a Gator coach, I am one of your biggest fans.
He is a fine coordinator no question, I wish he wouldve took a head coaching job somewhere...he has outgrown the coordiantor title I think.
He has yet to ever be offered a job as a head coach. Not like he is just satisfied with being D-cord.
