I believe we are due to face the AFC and NFC North, yes? Or is it the NFC East? That goes on a 4 year rotation, right folks? And then, assuming we finish second, we'd get the remaining second placers in the AFC?
With a good WR, and better coaching we beat Cincy easily. The Ravens defense will be one year older Minnesota will be without Favre Green Bay will still be Green Bay...Tough but beatable And the AFC West sucks.
I agree. If we can't beat the Bills, how we gonna beat the Pats, Houston, and Pittsburgh. Then there's the Titans with Vince Young on a tear. Of course, there's always the jets' December swoon! We'll probably play at Kansas City and home to Houston if we finish 3rd.
Booo, Lions game is at home... This means a "for sure" no Thanksgiving game for us next year. At least one of my good friends and I can go the Dolphins/Vikings game in Minnesota.
wow, you're already penciling wins for next year before this season is over and the schedule is actually announced. i like.
Not penciling in wins...just pointing out that the opponents are going to be different teams next year than they are this year, so the schedule isn't as tough as it looks. They BETTER win the Bengals game though. That's the 2010 Phinvaders event. I am a 'glass half full' optimist though.
I'm hoping that Bengals game is in September so I can try and hit A Reds and an Indians game along with the HOF. I'm thinking of that Phinvaders tailgate, obviously.
I'm hoping late September too. Not too hot, not too cold. Perfect tailgate weather. Believe it or not, it wasn't that bad in Atlanta for week one. It was hot but not sweltering hot. The Bengals seem like they are going to be great to work with for this event.
That's sweet. I'm trying to cross off baseball arenas in my jaunt. Are the home teams usually accommodating to road fans?
I've dealt with the Falcons, Jaguars, and now the Bengals. All are accommodating. I've heard that the Texans, Bucs, Saints, and Rams are too. Not sure about the others. The Titans and Ravens are not.
Wayyyy to early to be talking about possible wins/losses for next season. Things in the NFL change too much from week to week, to be speculating and predicting how a team or schedule will be a whole year away, not to mention that year involving the draft and free agency. Lets slow down a little.
Don't you think its still early though? I mean the Titans from last year to this year have done a 180 twice. They were a great team last year, then they started out what, 0-5? 0-6? Now they're on a 5 game winning streak with a QB that was predicted to stay on the bench until Kerry Collins began drinking again. My point is things have the potential to drastically change week in and week out in the NFL. The Super Bowl Champions one year can be an average team the next.
Maybe it is. Doesn't mean we can't talk about it. What's the big deal? I mean you have people on this board talking about firing our QB, which is much more ridiculous than saying whether or not we beat Minnesota, or whether Favre will be back or not.
Lol you do have a point with that guy talking about how Henne should be fired. Sorry if I came off as some sort of an authority figure, anything Dolphins related is definitely open for discussion. Hey I can just not reply if I don't like the topic, right? My bad bro.
Its cool. I wasn't trying to come off as being *****y either. Sometimes message boards lack personality when conveying tone of voice.
Has the NFL officially said that they were extending the current scheduling format? The 8 year format expires after this season (2002-09). Just asking because I haven't heard anything.
Aside from Lambeau Field and a Packers - Vikings game, Houston is the next most accomodating place. Reliant is a great place to catch a game, pretty knowledgeable fans, and I highly recommend the Texans Cheerleaders VIP Tailgate if you can find a pass. Again, highly recommend. I'm from Cincinnati, and the fans are pretty easy to get along with, though every time I've gone to a game at Paul Brown, there's either been a fist-fight in my section or a streaker has gotten onto the field. Some of the fans just become an absolute drunken mess, but most are pretty good football fans.
