    Live from the Internet.
    Finally.
Hopefully Mayweather will get the snot beat out of him. He is a great fighter and all...but the amount of **** he talks is unbelievable. Im first one to get in line to talk some trash, and ill be the first one to admit that, but that dude is on a whole 'nother level. That, and the fact that i just hate his style of fighting.
    /rant

But yeah, regardless....should be a great match. First boxing match i will watch in a while.

Pacquiao wants in in March rather than May because he's running for Congress in the Phillippines, whose elections are held in May.

Looks like this fight may not happen afterall... Pac Man is running scared from Pretty Boy. After Mayweather agreed to terms, Pac Man doesn't want to fight in March and doesn't want the 50/50 split agreed to already.

    Lame. As. Hell.

If Manny doesn't fight, Floyd wins in the public eye. I'm going to be rooting for Floyd from here on out (concerning this fight anyway).

Freddie Roach says Manny wants a 60/40 split, based on his superior PPV numbers.

Roach also said March is too early, that Pacquiao has a broken eardrum from the last fight. Roach and Bob Arum want it in May, which is when the elections are. It looks like it'll be......September, thanks to the elections.

Apparently Manny doesn't want to fight until after the elections. I think the 60/40 stuff might just be "I'll fight early for 60/40". But this isn't the first time Manny's done this kind of thing. Arum hasn't actually sat down with Pacquiao yet.

    http://www.boxingscene.com/?m=show&id=23873

I read the other day where Bernard Hopkins....who you remember is with Golden Boy (Floyd).....says it won't happen. Predicts Arum won't let it happen. That it'll be Floyd vs Mosley/Berto winner and Manny going up to 154 to beat Foreman (who Roach said they'd kill). And THEN they fight end of next year.

I thought Roach said 50/50 split and a march fight? Now he's backing out of that? Manny is going to get crushed if he dares to fight PBF.

Anyone have any experience trying to get tickets for a fight? Any recommendations? When will they go on sale?

Not really too sure how soon they go on sale but I went to see Wladimir Klitschko and Sultan Ibragimov at MSG and tickets were not too bad. It depends on the fighters that are fighting but I had to sit in the top level and they were still 200 each.

For a Mayweather fight of this magnitude they will sell out quickly and those same seats will probably be around 500 or so. Just keep checking in and maybe you'll get lucky.

They don't even have a venue yet. New Orleans (Super Dome) and Cowboys Stadium are making offers, but I can't see this happening anywhere but Vegas.

Vegas probably prices me out. But if they do the 30K seat stadium, tickets would probably be reasonable!

    Done deal

Pacquiao signed the deal late Friday night.

Another thing I like: no stupid media tour. Just one press conference in NYC next month. But I'm sure there will be the always fantastic HBO 24/7 series.

If it is at the MGM.....

They will sell as SOOOOOOOON as they are put up for sale...

My recommendation is to call the MGM Grand in advance (I have done this before) and ask for a package deal with airfare, hotel, etc...that will be the only way you get tickets.

if it is at a stadium....ticketmaster.

have you seen both of these guys fight?

BTW....the fight will open around 6-5 for Manny as per MGM proxy.

MGM is usually around an average of $155 a night in a package...with airfare from Miami around $350 Per person.

Decent seats are around $250 each.

    so.....the short answer is...ALOT.

think about 2k for the weekend.

I cant see it happening any where else but Vegas. You have to believe both De La Hoya and Bob Arum have alot invested in vegas already.

    Venue, and a snag

The fight will be at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Jerry Jones offered an unprecedented $25 million site fee to no avail.

There is also a penalty of $10 million per pound if either fight weighs in over the 147 limit. Pacquiao's side wanted and got that as a result of Mayweather coming in 2 pounds heavy for Marquez.

Everything is set except for one detail: Pacquiao's side is reportedly balking at Olympic style drug testing.

Olympic rules draw blood 30 days before the fight. Roach says he has no problems with that. Golden Boy hopes it's just a misunderstanding, or Pacquiao is unaware of the issue. I sure hope so.

    This is probably why...

I don't see what the big deal is. Unless he doesn't plan on being in the states at that time. Or he doesn't trust the test handlers.

You can tell a lot from analyzing someone's blood.

    Posturing.

I don't believe they'll pass up this fight. Although Arum admittedly doesn't want it to happen over bad blood.

What good reason could one have for only submitting to being tested 60 days before and immediately after the fight rather than 30 days and after the fight?

Ensures everything is level. As much as possible anyway.

Golden Boy says it's been in the contract since Day 1, and now it's a snag for some reason.

If you ask me Manny is asking for too much and looking for too many excuses, not sure why... this would be the biggest pay day of his life.

50/50 is more than fair considering Mayweather is a fan favorite.

Floyd would win in a close decision imo.

Mayweather is hardly the fan favorite. Pac-man has the biggest fan-base in the world. Like Freddie Roach said, Manny doesn't need Floyd and will get paid no matter who he fights. Although I agree that Floyd will win. His defense and counter punching ability is second to no one.

Ever since the Cotto fight, Manny has been acting strange towards PBF. He's done everything possible to get out of the fight. Floyd has made every concession Manny has asked for and Manny refuses to make any. One minute Manny has a needle phobia (weird since he's tatted up), then his camp says physically it's bad, and now psychological (according to Roach). Something is fishy... Either he is dirty or scared.

Boxing is a dirty sport top to bottom. Floyd is willing to undergo the blood tests too. There's nothing wrong with the request. It's stupid on Manny's part not to do it if he has nothing to hide. A blood test takes all of two ****ing minutes at worst.

Worried about what? a teaspoon of blood? Roach just recently said it's psychological... There camp is looking like a bunch of babies. They make all kinds of demands (8oz gloves, 10 million deduction for every pound Floyd is over 147, etc...) and they can't give a simple blood test?
