**** if sparano can coach and call the plays what do we need henning for?

we beat the pats without a single use of the wildcat. defense (VD in particular for me) showed up and picked that SOB off in the endzone.

if he did it last game he needs to do it the next..

I mentioned in the fire Henning thread that it appeared to me as if Sparano was calling in the plays in the second half of the buffalo game too.

It appeared that Sparano was more involved that I have seen in any previous game, but that could just be more camera focus on him during the game. But, I'm wondering if it was just Sparano telling Henning what kind of plays he wants with Henning still calling the actual plays. Something like, "No more plays with Pat White", or "I want a play-action with Polite running to the flat ...".

If he called plays in the 4th yesterday, he did against buffalo as well.

Really, the difference between the NE and BUF game, was Henne playing better IMO.

Maybe I missed it, but I didn't hear the question asked in the presser.

Doubtful. Sparano specifically referenced Henning repeatedly calling a couple of plays. That Sparano had his headset on and was communication doesn't mean a whole lot- that's why he has them.

He has had that play chart all year, and has always been hiding his mouth with the chart over his mouth during the offense.

    I mentioned this weeks ago.

The pocket didn't collapse everytime he dropped back either against NE.

Every 5 step drop against Buffalo he had a hand or body in his face

The Orca V had their best game of the season, and not so shockingly so did Henne. Amazing how that works.

True, but when it comes down to it, Henne made mistakes in that game. He made mistakes against NE as well, but they werent as bad.

I agree. It seems that is what he is doing. I can't tell though.

    Well away from here
It can be where as with most coaches they leave it to the OC, until they feel they want to see certain formations or for certain personnel packages on the field. Many head coaches get on the headset and say "what" they want on an offensive play.

I don't want a HC that calls the plays, too much to handle IMHO. Planning an offensive game plan is hard enough when that is the majority of your work week. Let alone being a HC.

IIRC, Sparano called plays in Dallas at one point but I can't remember for sure.
