Nature never ceases to amaze. Great White sharks. Some have called them the worlds most perfect predator and one that supposedly had no predators that threatened it besides man is shown here being stalked and killed by a Killer Whale. Amazing footage. http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/killer-whale-attacks-great-white/26i337r7
Technically the largest predator is a Sperm Whale, but a shark wouldnt mess with anything that large, and I doubt they are agile enough to grab a Great White.
That thing looked to be at least 12 to 15 feet in its mouth. (Hard to judge underwater), but the lady does say it was a huge shark.
Exactly, not that large when compared to a 25-30 foot orca. Unfortunately, the craze caused by the Jaws movies all those years ago resulted in people hunting the larger great whites far too much. I was reading an article that said there are no more huge great whites because the largest sharks were all killed and therefore removed from the gene pool. The lack of the huge whites during breeding caused the overall size of the species to become smaller. A six ton orca won't have any problem with a 12-15 foot white, since it outweighs it by about four tons! I tend to think it wouldn't be so easy for the orca had he stumbled upon a 25 foot white. I'm sure he'd still have won, but he'd probably be taking some damage himself.
If I were 20 feet long and weighed 6 tons, sure. No wait...if I were that size I'd be coaching the Jets.
for our next geeky debate what would win in a fight a t rex or that dinosaur from ice age 3. discuss.
trex with a gatlin gun. the dino from ice age 3 with throwing knives. go! i imagine it will look like this:
Aw c'mon man, this IS serious. The dino from IA3 was also a T-Rex...couldn't use throwing knives then either!
