Peyton Manning single handedly got a rule made that changed the NFL and paved the way for Dan's records to be broken.

Do not forget it was Peytons whining act after a loss to the Patriots that got the NFL to strictly enforce the 5 yard rule. I wonder why everyone everyone calls Brady a whiner yet fail to mention Peyton's annual whine fest after each playoff loss? Remember when he called out his O-line and said they had protection problems?

I actually dislike Peyton more than Brady.

The 5 yard rule was already in place though.

Who wouldn't whine after a playoff loss? Maybe his O-line did have protection problems.

With 5 minutes left against the Giants who whooped his butt all day he drove down the field and scored. Not his fault his defense fails to grab a QB who they had in their grasp, fails to prevent a once in a century jump ball, and fails to intercept a ball they had in their mitts (assante samuel).

The one year Manning won it he didn't do squat until later in the offseason. he had a 70.5 rating in the playoffs. Against baltimore a QBR of 39.6, and the offense scored 15 points. Try and divde 15 by 7. You can't.
Brady also has a better TD/INT ratio with what I would consider an inferior receiving core most of his career.

yes but for years they never enforced it until Peyton whined about it. Then after that two QBs go on to beat Dan's single season record. Think about it.

A big part of it is as everyone mentioned, he is a talented rival. But I never felt the way about Jim Kelly that I feel about Tom Brady.

For me, the additional dislike comes from the fact that he has benefited from the cheating of his coach. When he knows defense's signals it makes his job a lot easier. But he, like the entire Patriots franchise, is a media darling so that all gets washed under the bridge.

I get chills when I think about what Dan Marino would have done playing in today's NFL. I disliked Peyton much more than Brady the year he broke Dan's records.

Myself, I dislike John Elway so much more than Brady. Yes, Brady has benefited from cheating. However, one thing with regards to Elway that seems to be forgotten is that Elway did too.
The year that the Elway led Broncos beat the Marino led Dolphins on the way to winning the Super Bowl, they had circumvented the salary cap and paid players under the table. Think about it. The Broncos were stacked at every position. Reason?...they didn't have to worry about who they could afford to keep and who they were going to have to let go to FA. Everyone else was scrambling trying to decide who to pay and who to walk. But the Broncos handed out money under the table. Tell me that wasn't an unfair advantage?
Not to mention, the Dolphins actually had a good shot at returning to the SB at the time.
And yes, the Broncos were fined and docked draft picks.
...."On Thursday, the league announced that the Broncos have been fined $950,000 and will lose a third-round selection in next year's draft for circumventing the salary cap between 1996 and '98. The penalties were set in an agreement between the league, the Players Association and the Broncos and resolve a case against the team brought before the sport's special master by the NFL's Management Council in January 2003, the league announced."

So while I dislike Brady, it really doesn't go beyond the division rival thing.
********by the way, the 49ers did the same thing the year they won a SB with Young.

For me it has nothing to do with talent. The fact he is a division rival – irrelevant. He is a great player. It's the attitude. Albeit this has most likely been learnt from his "adopted father" (whose attitude, imo, is far worse). The only thing I enjoy watching about Brady is when his team starts losing and he gets that look on his face like his mummy said he could have the candy but his daddy said no.

i didnt mean to be rude, i meant it as a matter of fact. many fans on here are new to football. but since you went there... do you think about what you write? you admit its "maybe because he's our rival", then go on to say "but the level of hate for him is far and beyond that of Peyton Manning and Drew Brees."

this is basically gibberish and does not add up to any point.

999,999 out of 1 million dolphin fans understand this concept.

I hate every QB that plays against the Dolphins. Division rivals have a special place though. There isn't a Dolphin fan out there who wouldn't have loved to have this guy in a Miami uniform whether the admit it or not.

When he looks at a ref for a flag and gets it is that right?
They make new rules to protect him thats kool cuzz hes Brady?
Have the Gould to name rules (the Brady rule for him)
You see Pats get a freebie to a Super Bowl.(The new Tuck rule) Tuck rule come on it was a fumble plain and simple.
You ask why? Im already mad remembering just those. Now lets protect his legs because his knee got hurt. All while on a cheating team busted spying with high tech cameras. There is a reason why he is not everyones icon.
