    Consider this:

-They have 10 TD passes for the whole season.
-They have 12 sacks for the whole season.
    -They have fumbled 21 times.
-Their wins were against Texans (X2), Titans (pre-Vince Young), Rams, Chiefs, jets, and bills.
Their losses include a 41-0 loss to the Seahawks and a 20-3 loss to the 49ers.

These guys don't scare me at all. If we don't royally screw up, this should be a win.

Don't give me any crap about looking past an opponent. My point is simply that despite their 7-5 record, these guys kinda suck.

Im sure teams felt that way about us last year, and even now...fact is they like us are "gritty" and know how to stick around and give themselves a chance to win more often than not. They are playing for the playoffs also.

We have beaten quality opponents. The Jags have not.
The Jags have been embarrassed by crap teams. We have not.

    Buffalo says hi.

The fact is, this Dolphins team isn't good enough for us fans to "not worry" about any opponent.

We needed a last minute Carpenter FG to escape with a win AT HOME against the 1-11 Buccaneers.

Sunday's game in Jacksonville will be a dogfight. It won't be pretty and let's just hope the Dolphins can escape with the opportunity to play meaningful football the following week in Nashville.

    Well, they scare me plenty.

Their offense could really jack us up.

MJD (Most Rushing TD's in the NFL, 4th in Rushing Yards) against a run D that has not been good for the past month.

Sims-Walker and Torry Holt against rookies corners who bite on playaction AND have given up the 3rd most 40+ yard pass plays in the NFL.

A decent pass catching Tight End in Marcedes Lewis who could kill our LBs and Safeties the way EVERY decent tight end has this year.

A mobile quarterback who, just when you might sack him, can create with his feet and run for first downs and touchdowns. (I still have nightmares about losing that Texans game last year to Shaub's run up the middle. Thigpen and Cassel gashed us last year too. Etc. etc.)

Ernest Wilford is ripe to have a big revenge game against us. Before you say "Never happen." remember how horrible Joey Harrington turned into a Pro Bowler against the Detroit Lions for us in a revenge game. It happens.

Oh, and this team that doesn;t scare you at all has won four out of their last five games and is heavily motivated to win so they can get a wildcard spot.

You may not take them seriously, but I do and I hope our coaches and players do as well.

MOJO really concerns me, especially when you consider the only other back we've seen this year remotely close to being as talented as MJD was DeAngelo Williams. And if you remember, he GASHED this defense to the tune of around 10 ypc. All this while Jason Ferguson was still in the lineup.

Thankfully, Carolina's coaches let us off the hook and inexplicably put the game in the hands of Jake Delhomme, instead of running their FTS (feed the stud) offense.

Unfortunately, I don't think Jack Del Rio will be that stupid.

I want to buy into it 100%. The Buffalo loss just keeps sticking in my head. We can say that it's different because it was a division rival and maybe the loss was just one of those things. I don't know....
I do think we are a better team than the Jags. They're beatable.

This game will be decided in the last two minutes, just like most of the others have been. Hopefully in our favor, but I take nothing for granted this season.

oh man, i remember these exact posts showing up before the bills game 2 weeks ago and then us getting hammered and embarassed by them. Jacksonville may be no division champ but they are also no slouch. Theyre a solid team that shouldnt be taken lightly. If we play our game we can win but personally i dont think its as easy of a game as some here think but we'll see. We lost to them the last time we played them in the regular season and im hoping we can take care of them this season.

Its always the same story guys. We have no right to count anybody out when we almost lost to the Bucs and Panthers. Not to mention the fact that we LOST to Buffalo. What matters is which Dolphins team is going to show up week in and week out. Could it be the Fins that play well the whole game? Or bad the whole game? Or show up only one half? The defense shows up but the offense is nowhere to be found? Or the offense shows up and the defense is nowhere to be found?

    Dear Lord.....

Please...please....how do we reverse this hex that he accidentally put on this team....

Garden, you can think it...hell you can say it to yourself....but please...please...change that threat Title....change it to .... Jacksonville is a good team, but we will win. Or...hell..I dont know..anything but....Jacksonville is not a quality opponent. How many Steelers fans thought either the Browns or the Chiefs were quality opponents...and the Raiders beat the Eagles.

Im not looking past any team period. I hope this team isnt.

We are one of those teams that can play with and beat the best of them, but we will also let bad teams hang with us and make it close. This will be no easy win. I'm pretty confident of that.

I watched Jax play the Bills a couple of weeks or so ago, I was not impressed. If you can beat the Pats you should be able to beat the Jags. Period. This will practically be a home game on the road as well.

they were 3-1 the first time and 4-3 the second.

Although what everyone is referring to is cumulatively. Depends on which way you view it.

We only have 11 passing touchdowns, one of which was by a running back and we got our asses handed to us by those same bills a couple weeks ago. And we've thrown 5 more interceptions.

All due respect this thread is insane because the things you measure for them as bad have as many of the same weaknesses.

I view it as what they were when you played, but that's just my opinion. Aside from playing a 1-0 team week 2 or something. I mean if they beat us both times they are 8-4 right now. They are not a winning team because of the Miami Dolphins. Against other opponents they have a winning record.

I remember plenty of people saying the same things about the Jags when they played us in Marino's last game.

End result was a good ol fashion butt whooping.

This Jags team is injured and will be desperate. Never underestimate the opponents. PERIOD!

They might not scare YOU, but they have won 7 and are the 6th seed as of now. That means there are 10 teams (out of 16) that are worse then them.

In the NFL you never take a team lightly, just ask the Steelers!

I'm afraid of every team I play, and the Jags have weapons.

And we don't beat bad teams big either, just look at the Buccs game.

Anyone taking this game lightly is fooling themselves.

Anyone who doesn't think we are in for a dogfight (in the WW2 sense) has rocks in their heads, imho we have to play a complete game, Offense, Defense, Special Teams and Sparano has to be on the ball as well.

Desperate teams are a bear to deal with, both teams know what the stakes are in this game, there are no illusions on either side.

No team in this league is good enough to look past an opponent. Least of all a team like ours which is middle tier. If stats on paper won games they wouldn't suit up on Sunday's.

What we coulda, shoulda, and woulda done don't mean NOTHING with our defense giving away games like candy in the 4th quarter plus making Fitz look like the reincarnation of Jim Kelly at Buffalo. No way will I overlook the Jags and neither should this team!:shifty:

If the consensus is true that our team believes that the better team lost in buffalo, then #1 they got some issues, #2 they need to prove it to us....our fans were ready to pounce on the Pats if we win that buffalo game...They took our momentum away, time for them to give it back.

would love to see us play at another level...however 1st year qb's and receivers trying to catch 100 mph fast balls just oozes inconcistencies...

Lets do this boyz and girlz and have some fun..

Somewhere in the Dolphins locker room, Sparano has pasted the OP's post on top of the lobster trap that Wanny put over the door a few seasons ago and had every player march past it.

I would like to offer some alternative views.

Buffalo is a much different team with their current QB. He is a play maker.

Tampa is a much better team with THEIR new QB. HE is also a play maker.

We just played New England, and this is a PRIME setup for a HUGE letdown game. Worries me......BIGTIME.

WE.........seem to think to much of our team .........weekly. Alot of us only see the good, because we are fans. I tend to prepare my self for the letdown, so I am not let down so much when we lose. Dont put us on a pedestal when ranking where we belong. We are what our record says we are. An average team trying to make it to the dance.....and we need some help to get there. There is not a team out there that we SHOULD beat. Its the NFL. Any given Sunday....good or bad. If Buffalo can put a 4th QTR. thumping on us, like they did, then...................we are what we are.
