Went in with the worst side/rib pain I've ever felt in my life. I pretty much couldnt breathe or walk. Turns out I guess too many energy drinks and the like. Thankfully it was nothing too serious just a lot of pain. However I guess laying there not knowing puts a lot of stuff in perspective. I'm not really ready to talk I guess...just letting everyone know something happened, and I'm okay.
Glad you're ok, bro..............be careful with that stuff. What happened to you seems to be way too common.
I just woke up and I still have some little blue sticker things on me from where they did the EKG tests and stuff. I guess I wasnt very thorough upon leaving.
Glad to hear you're okay and that the EKG went well. You should probably lay off that stuff the caffeine in those things is ridiculous. I thought I might have to go myself this morning. I've had a stomach issue I have yet to get checked out. I know I'm supposed to see a Colonoscopist for a lower GI and have for about 4 years now, but cost without medical assistance ($3,000) was way too much for me to afford on my own among various different excuses I gave myself. Today I woke up and felt like I had to go to the bathroom and I ended up passing out and hitting my head on something. I woke up and there was blood all over my hands and the toilet seat. The gash is pretty good it's kinda like VO's "got kicked in the head by a stripper" but.. more linear and less deep.. and not like a stripper heel. I thought it was coming from my ***, which is why I thought I had to go to the ER.. I mean I probably should go and get stitches, but I don't feel woozy or have a headache or anything like that and I'm obviously not one for docs if I don't need to be. That's what crazy glue was invented for... At any rate now that I've got medical insurance from the Gov't I need to go get this checked out ASAP Sorry to hijack your thread I just didn't see the need to post another.. here's to everyone's health and for god sake's if you've got something you think needs to be checked out go get it checked out. don't be like me.
well, considering I passed out in the bathroom I don't think I'm 100% ok, but as far as the wound on my head is concerned I'm not worried about it. I'll just have a scar.
Your a tough guy but I would probably do the same. you might have a mild concussion too. Anyway just be safe

Everytime finals roll around I fear I'll "OD" on energy drinks...probably went through 2 cases already and finals don't end 'till Monday...after seein this its just water and tea from now on ... scary stuff man glad you're ok
I'm not saying never again, but I definitely won't drink as much. Only every now and then, and no more than one. The doctor also did a speech about how Red Bull and Vodka kills. I don't even drink He also said not to drink them with coke...which I had never heard. I mean not mixed, but in the same time period. Isnt good for your heart apparently.
yup thanks for your concern. i'm going to dress this at least twice a day with rubbing alcohol, put this glue stuff on.. and every time i'm going to put these fresh wound closers on it and a fresh bandaid on top of that. i've lopped my fingernail partially off and had to deal with doing the same thing and my fingernail turned out okay. i realize a cut like this is a bit different, but the most important thing is to keep it clean and to keep it closed. if i don't think it's healing up okay i'll get it looked at.. i know what the signs of infection are.

They took some blood...they had to test for blood clots in my lung, x-rays, the normal stuff. In the end they prescribed me some pain meds I can't afford Told me not to drink so much stuff that isnt good for me like energy drinks and coke, I also had pretty high blood pressure for a while so that was one reason. Also had an EKG test done.
I don't know how knowledgable my doctor really was he could have been wrong. No-one else there seemed overly qualified, which really made me nervous. The nurse walks by "You know that wound on his abdomen could signify something...uhh...weird" talking about someone else. I didnt know weird was a medical term.
Glad to hear it was nothing serious brother. Stay away from the energy drinks, I felt like I was having a heart attack after drinking 3 Monster drinks in the span of a half hour, it wasn't pleasant. Yeah, you're way too young to be doing coke. Wait until you're at least 20.
