As fans, it is impossible to overlook an opponent or take anopponent lightly. Also, I don't believe in hexes or jinxes. My behavior has no impact on the game.

I stand by my OP: we're better than these guys. We should win. My prediction: 27-10.

Actually no, we beat the Jets when they had a winning record also. Not our fault they don't now, but they did then, so it still counts.

every match up presents a different set of possibilities
games are made easy or difficult by the way things match up
jacksonville should go in the win column, especially w/ the Orca-5 in tact
    however
I suspect it will be a very physical game & we must be @ our best
every game is a playoff game for Miami from this point on

This is the same thing that was said about the Buffalo Bills and look what happen to us. I respect the Jags, and I really am worried about Jones-Drew. We need to remember especially this year, that any given weekend a team can rise up and surprise any other team if they are not prepared.:wink2:

Buffalo had a record we should'nt have had to much to worry about. That ended ugly.Hoping the team stands tall and comes out big tomorrow.

Yes it will be a tough game, but the Jags are not a good team which is what I take out of the thread

the jags and pats and giants are all 7-5....i think the jags are by far the worst

I am most worried about how our players are looking at this game. I know the coaches aren't overlooking the Jags, but if the players are, it can be the Bills game all over again.

A win is a win, no doubt about it. But I would love to win big, I think the first Bills game was the only game we won big this season?

You gotta be joking. That's kinda like saying a 1-0 team had a winning record, and counts as well. LMAO.

Us having this conversation whether or not our team is gonna take the jags serious is pissin me off...who the hell are we to think that way..does 1 and frekin 15 sound familiar.

If we dont see their finest EFFORT, then this team has SERIOUS issues..if we lose with our best effort, so be it....but no way should we accept anything less then 100 percent crazed dog status.

It didn't happen to us. It happened to the Miami Dolphins. Anyone who believes that what we said had any impact on anything is just being superstituous. Some people just ask that others not try to push their superstitions on us. Preaching about the notion that our opinion of the game has any impact on the outcome is illogical. We are fully aware that any team can win any day in the NFL. Doesn't change what we expect the outcome to be. It certainly won't change what the outcome actually will be.

What are you trying to be clever? That doesn't have anything to do with anything. I've watched Jax more than once and have never been impressed.

Bro I never said it would, all I am saying whether it is the fans or the players, we must never take a team for granted.:wink2: I was just referring to what the thought process was on here before the Buffalo game.

I'm glad they don't scare you, but I certainly hope Sparano, the rest of the staff and the players don't take the same cavalier attitude towards them. They may or may not be a very good team, but the fact is their record is currently better than ours and a loss here by us nails the coffin shut, absent a complete collapse by at least two other teams we're bunched up with in the playoff chase. There is such a fine line between the best teams and the worst teams. Even in our 1-15 season, we were close enough in better than half the games to sneak in a win (although we didn't) here and there. This Miami team isn't good enough to count anyone in as win, be that the Jags, Bucs, Lions, or Raiders...(or ironically enough the Jags, Titans, Houston or Pittsburgh). So lets not count those proverbial chickens just yet...

Touchy touchy there Muscle...The object was that the team did, in fact, take the Jills for granted and we lost to a team we should not have. Most everyone (fans, scouts, oddsmakers, etc) all thought that the Fins should have beaten the Jills, but it didn't happen. The term we is all inclusive, in this case and includes the staff, players, fans, talking heads, etc...

They weren't 1-0 when we played them. So no i am not joking. Even if they were 1-0 that still defines a winning record at the time of a game.

Not about splitting hairs, if you are over .500 you have a winning record. You can't take that away from them. Just because after that game they came down to reality, doesn't mean we didn't beat a team with a winning record. NFL is full of ups and downs. Now do i think we have beaten a quality opponent? Patriots would be the closest, but are not what they were.

Buffalo didn't embarrass us. We lost, but the game was close.

Jax got blowed-out by two crappy teams.

    I was right.

We dominated them and we won. Lost the turnover battle 3-0. We clearly outplayed em.

I agree %100. You don't win against teams on the road when you're -3 in the turnover category unless you are clearly better. Huge win today overcoming the offense's fumblitis.

I was with ya....I saw what you saw.

and like muscle said...when you turn it over 3 times and still win against a team?

    yeah..you are clearly better.

that game could have easily been a 28-10 beatdown if we don;t turn it over like we did.

You were the only one who unequivocally had my back on this one. Thanks.

Its okay as a fan to be confident that your team is superior to its opponent.
