This would be a brilliant move and a much needed one.

    The question is which team?

Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Missouri, and Notre Dame would be my choices.

Notre Dame wont come but would make sense. Cincy would make things very interesting for Ohio St. Pittsburgh would add another rivalry with Penn St. Missouri probably makes the most sense then the Big 12 can add TCU.

    Florida Atlantic University?

Why would a Midwest conference bring in a Florida school?

    Ah more good choices.

Yeah ND wont join the Big Ten. I could see them joining the Big East later down the road.

Possibly but I don't see that anytime soon cause of the money they currently make. However we will see.

ND should join, but just as in the past, they would decline.

Pitt would be great because of the rivalry with PSU, but that'd drop the Big East to 7 teams, so it probably wouldn't happen.

It can't be Mizzou, that'd **** up the big XII. Unless we got Mizzou, and they brought in TCU (which would actually not be a bad idea).

Central Michigan or Toledo could make sense, and would be huge for both schools, only problem is neither has a stadium over like 40K people (if that).

I think getting Mizzou and having TCU go to the Big XII would make the most sense (well ND joining would make the most sense), as no conference would be adding a "lesser" program. However, I really can't see how any addition would work out unless they came from the MAC.

Pitt has to stay in The B.E. Pitt vs. WVU is a huge rivalry that wouldn't be the same if they weren't in the same conference.

They need to figure out how to get some teams into the Pac-10.

I LOVE the idea. I think all of the "BCS conferences" NEED to have a title game. To do that they need 12 teams. I hope this happens. However, I am very skeptical it does. Any of the good fits take away from the Big East which is already kind of weak. The best match would be ND, but again... NO WAY they do it. :(

It would setup a perfect playoff system.

6 conf. champs and 2 at large bids for a 8 team playoff.

You could have had this playoff this year:

    1 Alabama
    8 Boise State

    4 Cincinnati
    5 Ohio State

    2 Texas
    7 Georgia Tech

    3 TCU
    6 Florida

Yeh..thats an awesome idea. IMO you can still have all your bowl games and they still carry the same respectability factor, if anything you add more bowls. The playoffs can be bowl games too.

    Sure...

you can even keep the tradition of the bowls...

for example..you can keep the Pac-10 Champ vs. the Big ten champ in the Rose Bowl.

    BTW..I screwed up..

    the matchups would be this:

    FIESTA BOWL
    1 Alabama
    8 TCU

    ORANGE BOWL
    4 Cincinnati
    5 Georgia Tech

    SUGAR BOWL
    2 Texas
    7 Florida

    ROSE BOWL
    3 Ohio State
    6 Oregon

That way...you would rank the conf. champs 1 through 6 and the two at large bids would go in with highest BCS ranking and preventing a conf. championship rematch.

Under this scenario...Boise State would get screwed over.

The Semi Finals...can be at two neutral sites....the Championship game at Pasadena..and you rotate it among the sites.
