You clearly missed the games where we were going toe to toe with the Colts, and the Saints with a new secondary (and a blown call against the Saints).

Deny it all you like, as the year has gone on we've dealt with some growing pains and adjustments with rookies and new acquisitions, and have gradually been playing stronger.

Your assumption that Jacksonville is going to cruise through the Colts, or the Pats is pretty ridiculous as well.

Honestly the Ravens have probably the best chance to make that playoff spot. But I guess we'll find out in 3 weeks.

I usually don't. That's not the topic here. The topic is playoffs. And if the NFC West was set to include two playoff teams this year - I'd say the same thing about them too.

I truly believe that the playoffs are the second season. It's just the second season usually starts in December. Some team always gets hot in the second or third week in December and then nobody is able to touch them. It's like that bad team in September or October no longer exists. It leaves everyone scratching their head saying, "Where did they come from?"

Denver ain't that team. When I see some team possibly wasting a playoff spot due to playing in a sorry *** division - I'll call it out.

After reading which team you are a fan of, I now understand where the "arrogant" comment originated. You really wanted to address this post. You just didn't know how to do it.

This is all you can argue. Denver played worse teams then you. You know why? Because the Dolphins have no real argument that they beat the teams Denver has. Denver has played worse teams, and they've played better teams. That's just how it is. But in reality, the teams they've beaten outnumber you. Their SoV is better too. Broncos' victories over opponents records are 51-53, Dolphins' victories over opponents records are 40-51... While it's not a huge gap, the Bronco's are definitely the one with the tougher opponent's.

  4. I wonder why? Who's got time for that??
Personally no harm intended but I have no feelings at all for Jax. None, zero, zip. I grew up in Florida and sorry to tell you but they didn't EVEN EXIST ...so yeah.

So now you've found, stumbled, Google'd yourself this way to find people to argue with? No reason brother....my Dolphins are superior in every way.
    Truth.

Umm, no. If Jacksonville wins out, we're in. It's official. The only thing that changes in that scenario is whether it's NE or Miami that goes to the playoffs with us.

And the Ravens have the tiebreaker on you with common opponents too so moot point.

Zzz this argument goes both ways. Jax replaced 28 players this year. 13 of them are rookies. 4 of those rookies are starting. They've been getting better too as almost all teams do during the year, they're just consistently inconsistent still.

And that as it may, Jacksonville won't cruise through their schedule, as I've said in the past. It's likely we win 2, but I don't think we take both the Pats or the Colts game, though either is certainly possible. But that as it may, I don't see the Ravens or Dolphins winning all 3 either.

If you want to talk playing tough games close, we lost to Colts because of a missed extra point this year, and now it's coming to Jacksonville.

Meh it's mutual. I don't really care what happens to Miami, and I personally hate the Bucs. But whatever. Didn't take long considering one of your fans came on and posted this site for us, so I'm here. Not to cause trouble, just to argue.

Possibly. I wouldn't be surprised if we lost all 3, or won out. Inconsistent team on our hands, but it's to be expected with it being mostly young players and rookies.

Anyways, this is probably the time we win now. Jacksonville has always been that way. Lol @ us and we'll win. Pick us to win, we'll lose.

At least we're in agreement there. Not to get off topic, but I hated them when they sucked, Hated them when they were good with Dungy's hand picked team that he gave Gruden, and hated them when they went back to sucking :)

Good luck in the next few weeks. Hopefully there are more of your ilk that will start supporting that team... Or I suppose for my sake in Orlando lets hope there aren't so I can start getting my Dolphins games up here!

I never said the Jets or Jaguars were bad teams. Others may have, but it's not true if they believed that. they both may be better than the Giants and Cowboys. Cowboys are the definition of choke since 1996, and the Giants have a poor defense that is probably worse than the jets and jaguars.

I think we'll eventually get a fanbase. I'm only 17, and can't seem to get hired anywhere to buy more tickets than I already do but I've been to 3 so far this year and am going to the Colts game. This team just needs a fanbase that can compete with the Gators, Noles, Dawgs, and Canes.

But yeah, good luck in the sense that we need yall to drop a few for us so that our road is easier along with Baltimore for safety reasons :shifty:, or let us win out and take the division. Either way is good with me if I can get some playoffs

I'm not sure who all said that, I just remember "gardenhead" in particular that discounted us and the Jets as good teams.

Edit: Wow, I just totally contradicted myself in this post, so I deleted what didn't make sense, I forgot about the fact that if you beat NE, and we run the gauntlet, we get our AFC East again.

If you win out, it is irrelevant to Miami so long as we win out, because we'll be a division winner, and you'll be fighting the other teams for a WC spot.

So... nevermind... Looks like I wasn't looking at the whole picture, just the WC battle.

On a side note, an interesting scenario:
Jags lose at least one game, Ravens win out, We win out, NE loses at least one game, and Denver loses to Philadelphia (bumping them to 6th seed)

We play the Ravens at home in the AFC WC game. I'd seriously be looking forward to that revenge game. Rematch from last year to prove this is a better Dolphins team

  18. Dude...don't misunderstand. You guys are doing fine. You even had a winning year your first year in existence, and you'll do well in the future. Thing is there's already a huge Dolphins fan base from years and years past. So you gotta start trying to get the younger JAX crowd with you...us old-heads are set in our love and devotion at this point and there are thousands across the state of Florida like me. We just "grew up" watching and rooting for the 'Phins..too late to jump ship now (even if she was going down)

I'm all for Jacksonville winning out because it would mean that the Colts have lost a game and we win the division over New England.

As of right now the denver opponents they have beaten are 51-53.Winning pct 490. Miami's opponents are 40-51. winning pct 439. Take into consideration that is Denver's 8 wins and Miami's 7 wins. Even saying that Denver would win on strenght of victory. The only way were in if were tied with Denver and Baltimore at 10-6 is if Denver lose to either Oakland or KC, that would leave Denver with an 7-5 Conference record. Miami and Baltimore would have an 8-4 record.

you obviously don't know anything about our team if you're citing Crowder for a great run defense and/or talent to stop the run.

Yep, exactly. The Phins best odds of getting in is winning out + having NE lose a single game(any game). All the other scenarios have multiple teams losing games + the Phins winning out, so they are more unlikely. Can play with the Yahoo generator here. We break a 10-6 tie with NE in every single scenario

I have read them, head to head counts before all other tie-breakers.
    See post below.
It's all a mess right now tbh. :)

Once again, completely not true. If the Jags win out and the Dolphins win out, guess what, the Dolphins are in as DIVISION CHAMPS since the Jags will have beaten the Patriots.
The only scenario with Miami winning out and not making it is the Ravens and NE winning out which means the Jags will be out as well since NE will have beaten the Jags.

What part of that wasn't true? I already accounted for all of those scenarios. I said you could win out and essentially not make the playoffs if say, Jacksonville loses to New England and Baltimore still wins out. You'll be 10-6 but NE could take the division and Baltimore would take the 6th seed. That was exactly what you said that laid out everything I said a few posts back.

You also said Miami was in the worse position of the 3 as they could win out and still not make it. Same rule applied to Baltimore though, they could win out but not make it if the Jags had of won out as well. Both Miami and Baltimore needed help. Moot point now though.

Here's hoping the Jags win out now though.
