Jason Statham is the new Steven Segal, they both play the exact same characters in the cheesy action movie genre

I'm guessing he's really proud of his **** becausse of the amount of screen time it got in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Julie and Julia last night.

J&J was really marvelous; Nora Ephron has that genre down pat. Good storytelling, Amy Adams and Meryl Streep were both brilliant; but the one who steals the movie, as he does seemingly every film, is Stanley Tucci.

Underrated as all hell, Tucci - from his first real role in Thirtysomething as the malevolent - yet ultimately impotent - Carl Draconis to this one, he fills the screen like few other actors, and with such subtlety.

Potter was a letdown; the whole thing just felt like a setup for the finale, not an entity unto itself. Really disappointing for just an incidental fan like me, but much more so for a rabid fan like the friend who watched it with me.

Watched 'The Stepfather' today. A remake of a movie made in 1987. Reminded me a lot of 'Disturbia' as far as the characters' personalities. Easily predictable ending. It was worth the $1.50 I paid, but only for the Amber Heard bikini closeups.

What's interesting in many ways its an introspective look on Clooney himself and his marital status, etc. I think you will enjoy it.

Saw 'Couples Retreat' with Vince Vaughn & Kristen Bell today. It would be a good date movie, but it's just kinda 'so-so' by yourself.

Saw 'Inglourious Basterds' last night. It was just as good as I anticipated. Tarantino is arguably the best fimmaker of this generation. Christopher Waltz also gave the best performance in a Quentin T. film since Michael Madsen in Reservior Dogs.

Great movie, saw it 3 times at the movies. I liked that they kept the movie genuinely European by using the subtitles with 3 different languages. The 2nd time I saw it, there was an old lady with a cane in front of me buying a movie ticket. When I said 'Inglourious Basterds', she turned around and said, "Oh, you will really like that movie, very very, good movie," in heavy accented English. One can only imagine why she liked it so much.:wink2:

UP-Funny movie I enjoyed thought it was one of the better Pixar films

Terminator Salvation-I liked it good action didn't really like Bales batman voice. Also didn't understand the Reece storyline. Time travel story lines confuse me.

Land of the Lost-Hilarious movie, loved the humor one of Will Ferrel's better movies.

G.I. Joe Rise of Cobra-Movie is some ol bull****. It is god awful don't waste your time with this garbage.

I went with my wife and 89 year old mother in law to that film (probably breaking some elderly abuse laws) and we all walked out of there in tears.

Saw Elegy last night...part of it, anyway.

Older man self-destructing, ruining his relationship with a hot young woman with insecurity that made him sexually possessive.

Seeing Penelope Cruz naked was nice, but not enough to keep me around for the inevitable train wreck.

Went to see Saw VI today. I thought it was pretty cool. I'm glad that flashback scenes are a regular thing in the series 'cause I didn't see IV or V (yet), and I didn't feel like I was in the dark about anything. If you're a fan of the franchise you'll probably like it, but it's not for the movie snobbish.
