That is the trump card in all these discussions Pad's....wish we had an insider that could drop some hints every now and then (like we have with Injuries, etc).

I wonder what the 3some thinks.

Damn, I just think that Ginn is too much of a threat at returns to let him go.But, as far as out of bounds, doesnt Ginn usually look for the sidelines when he takes one to the house?I think he did that in College too?

    Good point on Austin.

If we were able to get a guy like Boldin in here, maybe that would help Ginn and his confidence as a WR.Couldnt hurt.

When you are discussing whether cutting Ginn or holding on to him, the only part of his contact that really matters is his yearly salary. The bonus is done. It is getting paid out whether he is on the roster or not. With that, Ginn's actually salary isn't even a million dollars. Is he worth the $750k it will cost to have him next year (his salary this year is like 677K I think, not sure what it is next year)? Who knows at this point, you have to factor it with who else we can bring in. But is his salary some excessive amount that we can't keep him here? No. What he costs us against the cap whether he is here or not is marginal at best.

This thread was about other teams' players ragging on Ginn, and somehow we decided to do the same thing.

Sorry, whether worthy of the #9 pick or not, or a an underperforming WR, I still, personally, choose to support Ginn. It is a shame he has been the whipping boy, because maybe with our support and the media's support, he wouldn't feel so much pressure to perform to OUR standards, which I guarantee are beyond our FO's standards.

For all of you waiting for the day to see him go, I am with you, but for different reasons. I can't wait to see him excel on a team that will accept him for who he is. Change up Pierre Garcon for Ginn this year for example. Gurantee you he rips it.

Maybe I'm dreaming, but since day one Ginn tried his best to live up to the #9 pick - and it will never be enough. His work ethic is incredible, attitiude is great, and here we are talking about this kid like we can do better. Walk a mile in his shoes. Some people here, not to mention names, get all pissy when an opinion of theirs, or their right to voice it is questioned. Imagine the criticism Ginn took the last few years. How would those posters react? Ginn has thick skin, and for all the people who call him a puss because he ducks for the sideline here and there have no idea of the different types of toughness. Lets see you get constantly ridiculed and still come out trying your best, practicing hard, etc. He doesn't give up.

Empathy doesn't keep you on a team, I understand, but we don't understand how hard he is working to become that #1 guy, and for crying out loud, I hope he does, whether it is in a Dolphins uniform, Bills uniform, Jets uniform or Pats uniform. That is how much I respect Ginn and the effort he is giving us.

Till the day he isnt a PHIN he will be supported by me as a key Phin from #1 all the way to the Practice Squad; thats how I roll.

I wonder exactly what Ireland/Parcells/Sparano really, really, really think about him and his role and if it can be replaced, etc. I see such a positive future for Ginn and this team with the right mix of additonal pieces, but not sure if they do as well when it comes to Ted G. and being part of it.

I think that too many people take a myopic, what-have-you-done-for-me-lately attitude with Ginn. His first two years he made nice progress and had sure hands. This year, he hit a bump in the road, and dropped a bunch of balls early on. The last three or four games, he's caught pretty much everything thrown his way, showcasing some really nice sideline grabs at key points in drives/games. Then, when you consider the struggles that Bess and Fasano also had with drops, it should come to mind that PERHAPS the problems were not just Ginn. Perhaps it had to do with trying to adjust to balls coming like a rocket from Henne.

Also, if we're gonna dump a receiver, I would guess that we would dump the guy that, with as bad as Ginn has been at times this year, STILL COULDN'T FIND HIS WAY ONTO THE FIELD Pat TURNER. Ginn obviously shows enough in practice that he's worth playing, which is more than can be said for Turner. I think that with a legit #1 on the team, Ginn could do very well. Right now he's being put into a position where he really can't succeed. He's not a #1.

Now that Ginn seems to be getting more comfortable with Henne I hope we see his role elevated the next couple of weeks. And can we run him a damn crossing pattern or slant every now and then?

Yeah, our pass blocking has been great, I don't know why were not looking to hit Ginn deep. It seems the only time we do it is the first play of a drive to try and catch them off guard. It's become predictable though.

I never will understand threads or posts for that purpose. Fan site or not, it is the worst part of fan sites not the best, and provides no redeeming value in my mind.

I never ask for only "Kumbaya" threads or posts, we all have to much to offer to simply sing from the same hymnal....but......bashing threads based only on Emotion and not fair critique of what it is that upsets you, is only asking for negative vibes and feelings between opposite parties. Many times that seems to be the goal of those types of threads.

    Never understand that.

Debate pros cons and sides will naturally appear based on interpretation of facts, stats, and honest critique not just criticism that is unwarranted because someone is hated, etc.

As I stated earlier, I would think a fair and honest goal when talking about Players, Coaches, FO Staff, etc, is to type ones thoughts as if you were addressing a POSTER per TOS. Same human decency should apply.

It would still allow for honest debate, vs. one side being forced to come to the defense of the OP Topic with emotion only. Letting it slide doesn't remove the original OP post or thread and in some ways that leads to the degradation of the site too.

I wish good tidings of joy to one and all. And willing to debate when the tidings are not so good based on factual topics that bring value to the Post and all Posters perceptions and mindsets. Speculative topics have merit, but I do struggle with those to find something of value I can personally add.

Add Kevin Mawae to the list.

When asked about the match race on 790...

Kevin Mawae responded: "Who is that? I really am being honest, I have no idea who Tedd Ginn is."

Then of course...douchebag Stugotz ripped into ginn with a series of jokes.

How can you honestly not know who Ted Ginn is. He is the guy that took two touchdowns back against your former team a few weeks ago... I realize he's an offensive player, but do the Titans not prepare at all?

I agree both took other players to make it successful but I still think the ability to use blockers and make cuts is more difficult than running fast in a straight line.

After we are done with the Titans, we're gonna make Jeff Fisher wish he had put on Henne's jersey, not Mannings.

I have a gut feeling that this team will respond to all of this disrespect, and I hope Ginn has a large role in that. Sunday can't come soon enough.

Ginn's sub-par route running double moved the "f" out of one of the top five corners in the game. More skilfull than utilizing a wall of blockers IMO. CJ's run was still impressive though with his swerving run.

I give CJ all the credit he deserves, and the Dolphins have too, listen to their interviews. The fact that the Titans aren't giving us the respect says a lot. They're are getting caught up in this BS while we are preparing for yet another must win.
